The color-based vision systems have been used to recognize our team robots, the opponent team robots and a ball in the robot soccer system. The color-based vision systems have the difficulty in that they are very sensitive to color variations brought by brightness changes. In this paper, a neural network trained with data obtained from various illumination conditions is used to classify colors in the modified YUV color space for the robot soccer vision system. For this, a new method to measure brightness is proposed by use of a color card. After the neural network is constructed, a look-up-table is generated to replace the neural network in order to reduce the computation time. Experimental results show that the proposed color classification method is robust under illumination variations.

We examine the process to enhance the productivity of the thin-film transistor-addressed liquid-crystal display (TFT LCD) panels with the objective of optimizing the relation between the Type of color PR dispense nozzle and the amount of dispensing of color PR consumption, directly affecting a spectroscopic analysis. Most manufacturers of the panels have been utilizing a spin-type coater. We show that we successfully optimize the spectral values by controlling the color PR dispense type(Static dispense or Dynamic dispense) and the amount of color PR. From this study, we accomplished to decrease 43% in color PR consumption and to decrease 30% in color PR Stained, to decrease 30% rework rate.

The analysis has an objective of presenting a standard of human image making by producing results of characteristics and individual human image of each color appropriate for the personality through enneagram that is a personality analysis program. The study was done on 200 adults living in the whole country from Oct. 4 to Oct. 18th, 2004. In the survey, 11 colors were selected. The followings show the 9 personalities. 1.Instinct type preferred Blue(blue+navy) color. 2. Feeling type preferred Red(red+orange) color. 3. Thinking type preferred Yellow(yellow+green) color. The study results tend to match the expected preference of color for each personality. In the Human image management, the individual distinction of 3 personality classes need to be analyzed in order to develop individual and created personality by preferred color. It is very important to examine the image for color each personality pursuits through the analysis. Also, there need to more participants of the study so that results can be analyzed more inclusively and there should more in-depth study.

This paper presents a mobile color-compensating application using a RGB color compensation algorithm. The proposed application enables color vision deficiencies to differentiate images which cannot be distinguished by them. The suggested mobile application has two functions: converting images taken by camera and converting contents in the device screen. The proposed application is computationally inexpensive, since it does not require color space transformation. Simulation results show that the proposed application enables color vision deficiencies to receive information expressed by colors such as subway line maps.

The color planning in the hospital could influence the patient's improvement and lead the users from room to room. This study shows the data of present colors used in the hospitals. In order to get the data, we surveyed and analyzed the current color usages of the present interior of hospitals by the individual data from the projectors. The color scheme is analyzed by the rooms which are the common room, the ward, and the examination room along the projectors. It is also analyzed by the finishes of the hospitals, and is addressed to the present color scheme by the means of the hue value, and chroma. The color scheme in the interior design of hospital is an important factor for the hospital users. It has to more sincerely considered to use colors effectively in the hospital interior since people use their organ of vision greatly when they sense things. According to the data, this study is proposed to the effective color plan which is considered psychologically and emotionally about the human activities, in the interior design of hospitals for the future.

The purpose of this study is to Investigate color schemes, degree of its satisfaction, and color implication of office environment. This study is to find the proper current color schemes in offices today, as well as colors that will enhance efficiency and productivity in work for future uses. The study was progressed through visiting offices and survey The collected data were analyzed by using such descriptive statistics as percentage, frequency, mean, and t-test. The result of this study shows that most of offices applied the main color only for ceilings, walls, and floors; and, some of them applied supporting colors in addition to main colors. In general, workers are not satisfied by the color in their work environment. Therefore, careful planning and exploring color schemes of main colors and supporting colors in work environments can be suggested. Also, the study results of color implication in work environment indicates that there is a need to take a careful color planning, especially in relation to the type of work, sex, and the level of education of a worker.

This study was carried out to analyze the surface color change according to the weathering time. The surface color of material was one of evaluation indexes in exposure experiment. For the purpose, accelerated weathering test was performed with wood. The weathering time level was composed with 0, 500, 1000, 1500 and 2000 hours and color difference was estimated with the color difference meter. The surface color was changed to 500 hours that lightness and redness were decreased and yellowness was increased. However it did not changed after 500 hours. It means that the surface color could be the evaluation index of deterioration of the wood but it means very little after certain time.

The purpose of this study is to develop the color palettes which are applicable to the color deign process for residential interiors according to the image types. To achieve this purpose, review of literature, questionnaire survey, and contents analysis were used. The major results of this study are as follows : The interior color images are clearly divided into 4 types, such as 'sophisticated', 'natural', 'gorgeousl', and 'casual'From the results of color palette, these 4 color image types are found to be very closely related to the interior image. It means that color image is very important element in Interior design process. Therefore, it is helpful to plan the color design according to the image types of interior color for good interior design.

This paper deals with an assembly process of the TFT glasses and the color filters in LCD manufacturing. Two specific problems are presented and solved. One is a matching problem to find the best matches between a set of TFT glasses and a set of color filters, which result in the maximum number of good LCD assemblies. A simple mathematical model is constructed for this problem and an optimal solution can be obtained using an existing algorithm. The other is a main problem that requires a determination of an economic lot size of the color filters which are going to be assembled with a given set of TFT glasses. A Bayesian dynamic forecasting model is developed to predict the defective patterns of color filters. Based on the predicted defective rate of color filters, the minimum lot size of the color filters can be determined to minimize the probability of losing good TFT glasses and color filters.

In this study, the CIE RGB color space which was one of the most popular device-dependent application program in digital image processing was adopted to make the profile with the device information. The profile was applied to the digital image of a JPEG file format. The result was compared with the color reproduction of another digital image of a JPEG file format, which was made in the e-sRGB color space that had the color spaces allocated to each reproduced color of an image and device-independent colors. In this way it was investigated which color space was more appropriate for digital image processing for web printing and if the e-sRGB color space was good as a color management tool that didn't depend on a device in processing a digital image for web printing.
