옥수수 부산물을 이용한 주름 개선 기능성 소재 활용 가능성 연구 (Research on the Possibility of Using Wrinkle-improving Functional Materials from Corn By-products)

  • 본 연구에서는 활용되지 못하고 폐기 되는 옥수수 부산물을 이용하여 주름 개선 기능성 소재로의 활용 가능성을 탐색하는 것을 목적으로, 초당 및 찰옥수수 10 개 품종에 대해 부위별 유효성분 탐색 및 정량분석을 통하여 업사이클링(upcycling) 소재로의 활용성을 제시하고자 하였다. 초당 및 대학찰옥수수의 부위별(알곡, 속대, 포엽, 수염) 추출물의 콜라겐 생성량 측정으로 주름 개선 효능평가 결과, 속대가 100 ㎍/mL의 농도에서 각각 176.5, 140.0%로 우수한 활성을 나타내었다. 속대에서 LC-MS/MS 정성분석으로 18 개 성분이 검색되었으며, 이 중 N,N'-diferuloylputrescine (DFP)을 유효성분으로 하여 품종 및 부위별 정량분석을 하였다. 그 결과, 속대 및 알곡에서만 DFP가 확인되었으며, 속대에서는 초당옥수수의 골드슈가(39.6 ㎍/g), 찰옥수수의 대학찰(38.4 ㎍/g) 품종에서 가장 높게 검출되었다. 속대는 알곡을 탈립 후 남은 부산물로써 콜라겐 생성 촉진 소재로서 부가가치를 새롭게 창출할 수 있을 것으로 기대되며, 본 연구를 통해 버려지는 속대의 주름 개선 기능성 소재로의 활용 가능성을 제시하고자 한다.

Isoflavone Distribution and ${\beta}$-Glucosidase Activity in Cheonggukjang, a Traditional Korean Whole Soybean-Fermented Food

  • Isoflavone distribution and ${\beta}$-glucosidase activity in cheonggukjang, a traditional Korean whole soybean-fermented food prepared with or without addition of Bacillus subtilis, were analyzed every 6 hr for 36 hr. Thermal cooking of raw-soaked soybeans significantly increased ${\beta}$-glucoside isoflavone level by 57.1 % and decreased malonyl-${\beta}$-glucosides by 57.6% (p<0.05). Consistent changes of isoflavone profiles in cheonggukjang without B. subtilis addition (COB) and samples with addition of B. subtilis (CWB) were not observed during 36 hr fermentation. ${\beta}$-Glucosides of isoflavones are major forms in both COB and CWB. ${\beta}$-Glucosidase activity in cheonggukjang decreased significantly compared to that of soaked soybeans due to thermal denaturation, while recovery of enzyme activity in COB was observed. Two new unidentified peaks were detected, and their relative peak areas in CWB were significantly larger than those in COB with increasing fermentation period (p<0.05), which indicates both peaks could be associated with fermentation metabolites.

  • To infer the true state of a regional product's attributes, consumers use the image they have of the product's region of origin; however, products may have multiple countries of origin in their design, branding, sourcing and manufacturing becuase more products are increasingly a result of multi-firm and multi-country efforts. We examined how the country-of-origin image (country image and product image) affect international consumers' perceived value (function value and symbolic value) and purchase intentions of made-in China goods by extending and deepening the flexible model. Second, to investigate the differences of COO effects according to different types of country-of-origin we divided the traditional country-of-origin into two components: country-of-manufacture (COM) and country-of-brand (COB). We then explore how the impact of China's country image on consumers' perceived value and purchase intentions varies when China is the COM or COB of the same product. Six hypotheses were proposed to test our anticipations. We recruited 800 Korean adult consumers who previously purchased made-in China products to participate in the online investigation. Data analyses were conducted with confirmatory factor analysis and structural equation modeling using SPSS and AMOS. The main results are discussed as follows. First, the effects of China's COO image on Korean consumers' perceived value and purchase intentions vary when China is the COM or COB of a product. Second, a positive effect of the function value and symbolic value on the purchase intentions was found. Literature and practical implications of findings are discussed and suggested in the conclusion.

추출시간에 따른 자색 옥수수 속대 추출물의 품질특성 (Effects of Extraction Time on the Quality Characteristics of Purple Corn Cob Extract)

  • 본 연구는 자색 옥수수 속대의 가공식품 및 기능성 식품의 원료로서 이용 가능성을 평가하기 위하여 자색 옥수수의 속대 추출 시간을 달리하여 추출물을 제조하고 품질특성을 조사하였다. 추출 시간에 따른 자색 옥수수 속대 추출물 분석 결과, 자색 옥수수 속대를 $30^{\circ}C$에 24시간까지 추출하면서 시간의 경과에 따라 가용성 고형물 및 적색도의 증가와 명도 및 황색도의 감소가 나타났다. 그러나 추출 시간이 24시간을 경과함에 따라 품질 특성은 24시간 추출물과 유사하거나 가용성 고형물 및 적색도가 감소하였으며 명도 및 황색도가 증가하였다. 특히 항산화 활성은 추출 24시간까지 유의적으로 증가했으며 24시간 이후 유의적인 차이는 나타나지 않았다. 즉, 자색 옥수수 속대는 가용성 고형물 함량, 안토시아니딘 함량, 항산화활성이 24시간에서 유의적으로 높았기 때문에 자색 옥수수 속대의 최적 추출 시간은 24시간으로 판단되었다.

Effects of Corn Cob-based Diets on the Levels of Nutritionally Related Blood Metabolites and Onset of Puberty in Mukota and Landrace×Mukota Gilts

  • The objective of this study was to determine the levels of nutritionally related blood metabolites, age and body weight at puberty in gilts fed on corn cob-based diet in Mukota and Landrace${\times}$Mukota crossbred gilts. Ten gilts of each of Mukota and crossbred genotypes were fed two diets for 14 weeks in a 2${\times}$2 (breed${\times}$diet) factorial treatment arrangement. A corn-cob based diet, designed to contain 2,304 kcal ME/kg, and a standard pig grower diet, were used. The corn cob constituted 20 percent of the total ration. Fortnightly, bodyweights and feed conversion ratios (FCR) were recorded. Blood samples were collected to determine blood glucose, urea and creatinine levels. The average daily bodyweight gain (ADG) in the Mukota was lower (p<0.05) than in the crossbred gilts. Crossbred gilts fed on the corn cob-based diet had lower (p<0.05) urea values from eight weeks from the start of the experiment (p<0.05) compared to Mukota gilts fed the same diet. There were no differences in blood glucose and creatinine concentrations between diets and genotypes. The lack of differences in the nutritionally-related blood metabolites suggest that corn cobs could be incorporated at 20 percent inclusion without compromising blood metabolite concentrations and age at puberty of the Mukota and Landrace${\times}$Mukota gilts.

NCP 적용 COB 플립칩 패키지의 신뢰성 연구 (Study on the Reliability of COB Flip Chip Package using NCP)

  • COB(chip-on-board) 플립칩 패키지에 있어서 NCP(non-conductive paste)의 적용성을 확보하기 위해 자체 포뮬레이션한 NCP와 상용 NCP에 대하여 보드레벨 플립칩 패키지를 제작하고 고온고습 및 열충격 신뢰성을 평가하였다. 실험결과 보다 작은 입도의 용융 실리카를 첨가한 NCP 시제품들이 고온고습 신뢰성에 유리한 것을 알 수 있었다. 또한, NCP 접속부에 있어서 열응력에 의한 피로보다 흡습에 의한 에폭시의 팽창이 접속부 파손에 보다큰 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났으며, NCP의 접착강도가 높을수록 NCP 플립칩 패키지의 열충격 신뢰성이 향상되는 것을 알 수 있었다.

정전류다이오드를 이용한 COB 타입 LED 광원 및 조명기기 회로 (Applications of Current Limiting Diode to Chip on Board Type Light Source and Lighting Equipment Circuits)

  • Current limiting diode (CLD) was fabricated using junction field effect transistor (JFET) structured two small cells and eight large cells. Two small cells and eight large cells were connected in parallel and the obtained constant current was 110 mA. The application of CLD in each of the parallel circuits on chip on board (COB) type LED lighting source, could significantly reduce the current deviation within the parallel circuits. The applications of CLD on AC power small lighting source, battery power low voltage parallel lighting source and AC flat lighting source were investigated.
