  • The purpose of this study was 1) to understand the job transfer in education & training(E&T) programs & organizational situational characteristics, and 2) to analyze the effects of the E&T programs & organizational situational characteristic groups on each of the levels of job transfer. There is intimate relationship between E&T programs characteristics & organizational situational characteristics and job transfer, so we can't think of them separately. With this point of view the most frequently discussed problem is how to apply the theory in actual job, but in reality it's true that the improvement of job transfer can't reach the expectations of the E&T programs. In literature view study, the concepts of job transfer in E&T, the general theory on E&T, and the actual condition and points at issue of the existing E&T practices in the medium and small-sized hospitals were defined. As the results from empirical analysis, we could find followings: First, in evaluation of the job transfer, demographic characteristics (seniority, occupational category, position) variables have a significant different. Second, in degree of the job transfer, E&T programs characteristics(contents of E&T, design of E&T, conditions of E&T, teaching ability of lecturer, methods of E&T) variables have a different influence upon each of the evaluation levels of E&T. Third, support of CEO variables have a different influence on the job transfer according to contents, design, conditions of the E&T programs. Fourth, support of co-works variables have a different influence on the job transfer according to design, conditions, method of the E&T programs. Fifty, support of organizational atmosphere variables have a different influence on the job transfer according to contents, design, conditions of the E&T programs.

The objective of this research is to identify the critical success factors influencing the implementation of the ERP system and to suggest the tasks to be considered first for the effective implementation of the system. The results from the analysis of data collected from the 169 firms among those which have implemented either the Oracle package or the SAP package in Korea are as follows. The important factors for the successful implementation of the ERP system include the strength of rivalry among competing firms; the degree to which information systems are matured; the information systems strategy of a firm; the support and concern from the top; and the technical openness between the ERP system and the legacy system such as network, hardware, and software. The tasks to be considered first for the effective implementation of the ERP system cover the same degree of feeling between labor and management on the threat to survive; the formulation of information systems strategy at the strategic level; CEO's strong will and resolution; the process automation and informatization of a firm; and the infrastructure including intranet and databases.

  • Purpose - The purpose of this study is to elucidate the perception differences between CEOs and employees, and to derive a plan for improving performance by using theory of planned behavior (TPB) to enhance the competitiveness of SMEs exposed to various difficulties until recently. Research design, data and methodology - A total of 238 valid questionnaires were collected for CEOs and members of SMEs. In order to clarify the difference of perception, independent sample t-test and multi-group analysis using AMOS were conducted. Simple regression analysis and structural equation were used to confirm whether the theory of planned behavior was applied at the level of SME. Results - The CEO group is more aware of company's ethical responsibility activities and organizational support than the group of employees, and collectivism contributes more to organizational development than individualism tendency. Also, the theory of planned behavior is applied to the SME level as well. Conclusion - This study suggest that CEOs need to accept the pluralism of their members for the development of SMEs. In addition, it is necessary to form a consensus on ethical responsibility activities that corporations are performing by supporting diverse strategies and members' participation in management decision-making.

  • The purpose of this study was to identify the impact of e-commerce system satisfaction on e business success factors. We developed the questionnaire for measuring system satisfaction and success factors and tested internal reliability and construct validity. Cronbach's alphas of all system satisfaction factors were above .79 and that of e business success factors were above .82 except partnership (.66). In the regression models, we tried to identify all possible independent variables such as individual factors, organizational factors, system vendor size, order items in their systems and system satisfactions. Using Partial F-test, the regression model with system satisfaction factors, individual and organizational factors was identified as the optimal model in explaining the dependant variable. In the best model, system readiness and timeliness was significant determinants of e-business success evaluation. After using 7 success evaluations factors as the dependant variables, only three models were significant linear models, which were the models with partnership, CEO willingness to e-commerce and e-commerce support. In those models, system readiness and timeliness showed consistent influences to success factors.

  • The ERP system comes to existence in the period of change. In other words, the ERP system is adopted to the company with BPR project. In general, the ERP system is introduced to companies as packages rather than in-housing systems. There are several researches in IS literatures which have a conclusion that organizational context affects the performance of ERP system. This study attempts to review the organizational context from the prospective of organizational structure and change management. Regarding the organizational structure, we choose some widely known variables such as the degree of formalization and centralization. For the analysis of change management, we set the variables, which are the most importantly considered, such as the power of CEO's promotion and user participation. The extent of customizing is introduced as moderating variables between the organizational context and the implementation performance. With collected data, we performed the reliability test, the factor analysis and the regression analysis. In summary, the introduction of an information system such as ERP system has a behavioral and organizational impact. The organizational change may breed resistance and opposition and can lead to the failure of the system. Therefore, implementation of the system requires careful change management, active involvement of users and high level of management support.

  • As the 4th Industrial Revolution unfolds rapidly, it is important to re-light the intrinsic mission given to universities from a system theory perspective as a condition for the university to survive. In this study, the university was prescribed as a fifth service industry that creates high value-added through higher education services, and attempted to provide a new and novel perspective to various university officials for the scientific rationalization of university management by re-describing it based on the Multidisciplinary perspective based on business administration, but in particular on the theory of service operation management. To this end, the primary purpose of this study is to classify the nature of educational organizations, research organizations, service organizations, and support organizations to properly perform the university's essential mission of education, research, and service, and to explore concepts and techniques for performing management activities that are appropriate to them. In addition, after identifying the university from an academic and practical point of view as a fifth service industry that creates high value-added through higher education services, but more specifically, to provide a new perspective and means for the scientific rationalization of university management by re-identifying university administration based on the business administration theory, in particular the theory of service operation management, and further reflecting a recent trend to view the university president from the CEO's point of view, the specific purpose of this study is to look at this academic system.
