인터넷은 이미 대중화되어 있으며, 이러한 인터넷 망을 기초로 한 All-IP 망으로의 망 진화에 대한 논의가 활발하게 진행되고 있다. 또한 현재 상용중인 IPv4에 이동성을 부여한 이동 인터넷(Mobile IPv4)에 대한 연구는 IETF(Internet Engineering Task Force)를 중심으로 활발하게 진행 중에 있으며, 이에 대한 구현 및 개발은 이미 많은 연구단체에서 많은 성과를 보여주고 있다. 본 논문에서는 3세대 이동통신 모델 중의 하나인 CDMA2000 1x 환경에서 기 구현된 Wire-less LAN에서의 이동 인터넷(Mobile IPv4)을 연동하여, 이기종 망(Heterogeneous Network)에서의 이동 인터넷(Mobile Ipv4) 모델을 제시한다. 제시된 이동 인터넷(Mobile IPv4) 프로토콜은 Layer-2망으로서 Wireless LAN과 CDMA2000 1x을 모두 사용하며, 하부 망(Layer-2 Network)의 변화에 능동적으로 반응하여, 통신을 유지한다.

The large portion of communication service areas move from a legacy wire-line voice service to mobile data service. For the purpose of satisfaction on market need, many communication systems should be installed and upgraded based on a mobile wide-band transmission facility. Recently, large part of communication service is based on internet protocol by packet switch techniques and required new technologies such as multimedia processing, QoS achievement, and mobility managememobile communication network such as IS-95A/B and CDMA2000-1X. In this paper, I analyzed the network architecture and service provision methods. in CDMA2000-1X nt. In korea, a CDMA communication technique is standardized for digital mobile communication systems. By using the analysed results, I will extract an efficient method for network evolution and a core technique for next generation mobile communication network.

Handoff is an important parameter for system performance and capacity analysis in CDMA cell planning. In this paper, simulation tool for analyzing the effects of soft handoff on cell planning of CDMA network is developed by studying propagation model in 1.9GHz frequency specrum, soft hadnoff algorithm given by IS-95, and several parameters for CDMA cell planning. By using the tool, soft handoff gain and effects of soft handoff on cDMA system performance and capacity are analyzed. Research results and simulation tool developed in this paper can be used for optimal CDMA cell planning for PCS and IMT-2000 in 1.9GHz frequency spectrum such as locating base station and parameter optimization.

SK텔레콤은 1984년 차량전화서비스를 개시한 이래로 무선호출서비스, 아날로그 이동전화 서비스, CDMA 이동전화서비스, CDMA2000 1X/EV-DO 및 WCDMA서비스를 위한 이동통신망들을 연이어 구축해 왔다. 이러한 다양한 서비스 통신망을 구성하는 많은 망장비들을 관리하기 위해 통신망에 대한 망관리시스템 구축은 필수적이었고, 다양한 방식으로 망관리시스템 구축이 시도되었다. 비교적 짧은 기간내 통신망을 구축, 확대하고, 새로운 이동통신망을 도입하면서 기존망과 연동시키는 일들은 망장비에 대한 빈번한 패키지 변경을 낳았고, 이는 특히 망장비로부터 망관리 정보를 수집하고 망관리시스템으로의 보고를 담당하는 망관리대행자(Agent)의 안정성 및 유지보수 문제를 야기시켰다. 이에 본 논문에서는 기존에 개발되었던 망관리대행자들이 가지고 있던 다양한 문제점들을 제시하고 이를 해결하기 위한 망관리대행자에 대한 새로운 구축방안을 제시한다

Next-generation mobile communication systems evolve in the form of high speed data transmission along with integration of wired-wireless network. Therefore, it needs researches on integrating service to heterogeneous networks to offer high speed data transmission and various services while supporting user mobility. In existing studies, heterogeneous networks are linked to single core network separatively, Since vertical handoff between heterogeneous networks leads to some delay, packets may be lost during vertical handoff. To solve this problem, this paper proposes an hierarchically integrated network architecture considering the characteristics of CDMA2000, WiBro, and WLAN. The hierarchically integrated networks are overlaid according to coverage of each network. Therefore, the proposed architecture can minimize handoff delay and packet loss. In addition, this paper proposes an integrated framework for next generation mobile communication networks.

Wireless technology is glowing rapidly in the new millennium period. By this technical progress, new idea which separate CDMA 2000-1x service and existing mobile service by the account appears in interconnection market. Especially fixed operator and mobile operator insist contrary opinions. Account Separation of CDMA 2000-lx service is not studied despite it's importance. This paper deal with this subject and analyse logic of operators opinion. By the result of this paper, CDMA 2000-lx is more a 3rd generation service than a 2.5rd generation service and the current account separation criteria based on using frequency bandwidth is not desirable.

단문 메시지 서비스(Short Message Service)는 짧은 길이의 텍스트 메시지를 이동 단문 단말들간에 전송하는 데이터 서비스이다. 이 서비스는 통화로를 직접적으로 이용하지 않으며 구현과 이용이 쉽고 다양한 부가서비스를 제공할 수 있다 본 논문에서는 단문메시지를 상용 CDMA 망에 구현한 예를 제시하고자 한다. 단문 메시지 센터를 도입하고 메시지 서버를 개발하였으며 기존 이동전화 망의 프로토콜을 단문 메시지 서비스를 위해서 개선하였다 이 프로토콜을 교환기와 이동가입자 위치등록기등의 CDMA 망에 적용하였다.

최근 차세대통합네트워크(NGN), ALL-IP 망 진화 방향과 함께 동기식과 비동기식 IMT-2000 망의 통합(Convergence) 또는 연동(Harmonization)에 관한 연구가 활발히 이뤄지고 있으며, 이동통신 망의 개방화에 대한 분위기가 점차 무르익어 가고 있다. 이러한 추세에 UMTS, cdma2000, WLAN 과 같은 서로 다른 방식의 무선 액세스 망으로부터 요구되는 무선인터넷 접속 요구를 하나의 통로로 연결하고 수용할 수 있는 모바일 액세스 통합 게이트웨이가 필요하다. 본 논문에서는 차세대 네트워크 발전 방향과 이동통신 망 개방의 흐름에 맞추어 동기식 망과 비동기식 IMT-2000 망에서 동시에 무선인터넷 서비스 접속을 제공하는 통합 게이트웨이 시스템(A-MiDAS)을 개발하기 위한 형상 설계 방법과 시스템 개발 시 고려사항 등에 대해서 기술한다.

The cdma2000 mobile network covers a wide area but its characteristics are high cost and low bandwidth. On the other hand, WLAN covers a small area like a hot spot area but its characteristics are large bandwidth and low cost. Thus we can provide efficient services when we employ an integration network between WLAN and cdma2000 mobile networks. In this paper, we propose an integration scheme between WLAN and cdma2000 mobile networks. In addition, we design and implement the dual mode terminal which receives seamless data services in the integrated network. The proposed dual mode terminal manages connections by monitoring the signal strength of WLAN and selecting a proper network. We validate the functions through the implementation of VOD and show the effectiveness through the performance measurement.

본 논문은 CDMA2000 1x 망에서 이동단말 측의 측정정보와 TCP 동작 수정을 통하여 TCP 윈도우 크기를 제한하고 RTT(Round Trip Time)을 일정 수준으로 안정화시키는 방안을 제시한다. CDMA2000 1x망은 망 구성의 특성으로 인하여 큰 RTT 값을 가지면 변화가 큰 전송률을 제공한다. TCP는 이러한 CDMA2000망에서 지나치게 큰 전송 윈도우로 인하여 변동이 큰 RTT를 보이며 베이스 스테이션의 버퍼링 부하를 증가시킨다. 본 논문에서는 CDMA2000 1x망에서 사용되는 PPP프로토콜을 이용하여 무선 최대 전송률을 측정하고, TCP timestamp option을 이용하여 RTT를 측정하는 방안을 제시한다. 또한 이 측정값을 적용하여 TCP 수신측에서 RTT와 베이스 스테이션의 버퍼링을 일정수준으로 유지시키는 방안을 제시하고, 리눅스 프로토콜스택 수정을 통해 적용 결과를 보인다.
