The written case that reflects the course of treatment for a person is central to the East Asian medical tradition. This paper examines the approaches and particularities of producing the actual written account of the clinical encounter, or a particular aspect of a case, that may be required by acupuncture practitioners and researchers. It will discuss the influences that can be brought to bear on the construction and production of these accounts. In addition, it will outline and highlight historical approaches to the case record documentation process as well as debate the value and purpose of these. This paper aims both to assist the production of helpful and authoritative case records for practitioners and researchers, and to highlight the usefulness of such case records. Moreover, it will discuss not only why the case needs to be written and for whom, but also which agencies support and control what is written. How can contemporary requirements and traditional views both be incorporated accurately, with context and with meaning? The essence of this paper is that practitioner/patient interactions need to be documented, and it will explore how this can best be supported.

CASE tools are complex software products offering many different features. Systems professionals have evaluated various CASE products from a feature and attribute basis. Each product has a different mix of strengths and weaknesses as perceived by the end user. Specific CASE tools support different steps of the applications development process as well as varying methodologies. In this paper we develop a method for evaluating CASE tools. The model has an analytic hierarchy process for evaluating CASE tools in terms of functionality, management efficiency, and support ability of provider, and a data envelopment analysis for overall evaluation considering cost and AHP results. We applied the developed model to a real world case study.

Several modalities that have been used in Korean medicine have not undergone evaluation. The Korea Institute of Oriental Medicine (KIOM), a South Korean national research agency, launched the Korean medicine case Report (KORE) program in May 2019 to promote case reports, especially among clinicians. The aim was to (1) introduce the KIOM-initiated KORE program, (2) report the results from the KORE program, and (3) present the challenges and limitation from the KORE program. We conducted a narrative review of the cases to which KORE was applied. A total of 16 proposals were reviewed since May 2019. Five proposals were rejected, and 7 case reports were included. Case reports for 3 therapies have been created under guidance. The KORE program makes it easier for Korean medicine doctors to initiate and complete case reports.

Purpose: This study was conducted in order to present the effects of case management of a home visiting health service for clients with hypertension. Method: One-group pretest-posttest design was used. The subjects were 280 clients who received case management among the first and second registered group. The data were eight-week-case management results from January to December, 2010. In order to evaluate the effect of the visiting nursing service, biological indexes(blood pressure, total cholesterol, triglyceride, high density lipoprotein, low density lipoprotein, BMI) and self-care abilities(knowledge/attitude of hypertension, management of medication, nutritional care, confidence of self care) were measured. Result: Biological indexes and self-care abilities were improved, except total cholesterol, low density lipoprotein. Conclusion: The case management of home visiting health service by public health centers is considered to be an effective nursing service. Therefore, greater effort is needed for better maintenance of case management, and more research is needed in order to examine a variety of biological indexes.

This paper investigates the performance of phone case with different permittivities like plastic, urethane and silicone. Then, we put an electromagnetic band gap (EBG) structure in phone case to reduce the specific absorption rate (SAR). In order to design the phone case, a loop antenna for PCS 1900 band was used. The phone case consists of a hairpin-like EBG structure that is more compact than other EBG structures. The SEMCAD X fdtd simulation results showed that, this proposed phone case can reduce SAR by 13 - 30% at similar power that is radiated by the antenna. This phone case can be used in future to reduce the SAR from mobile phones.

The importance of reliability and safety, recently, shows a tendency to increases in railway system constructions and projects. At the point of view of safety, especially, the railway authority proposes an establishment of the safety case that is the documented demonstration that products comply with the specific safety requirements in railway industry. In case of reliability activities, there is no systematic documented demonstration in the railway industry. At this circumstance, this study presents the establishment of Reliability, Availability and Maintainability Case for railway system based on the MoD(Ministry of Defence) 00-42. This RAM Case will support that systems and products produced from suppliers or manufacturers meet the specific RAM requirements during the system life cycle(i.e, from design to operation & maintenance) through systematic process and evidences. Also, it is expected that railway system operations will be managed and supported from reliability activities in accordance with RAM Case.

This paper addresses the methodology development far the automated machining setup planning system using case-based reasoning(CBR). The case-based reasoning is used to develop a setup planning system. which consists of part input and representation module, case retrieval module, and case adaptation module. We present new approaches in the part input and representation module and the case retrieval module focusing on the similarity index determination. An illustrative example is included to demonstrate the proposed method.

If a machine has some faults, we can detect them using vibration or noise signals. However some maintenance engineers who don\`t have export knowledge, need the help of vibration experts for diagnosing the machine. In this paper a case based reasoning (CBR) system is developed which is able to manipulate the past experiences of vibration diagnosis experts. In the CBR system, the maintenance engineers can retrieve the information form previous cases which are most similar to new problem s that they can solve new problem using solutions form the previous cases. In this paper, a new case retrieval method of CBR system using Petri net is proposed and also applied to diagnosis for electric motors as a practical problem.

The goal of this paper is to examine how Case Drop (the drop of the case markers) correlates with the prosodic structure in Korean. On the assumption that intervocalic Lenis Stop Voicing (LSV) applies within the domain of the Accentual Phrase (AP), voicing analyses are performed on intervocalic lenis stop consonants before and after Case Drop. A statistical analysis reveals that the drop of the nominative and accusative case markers significantly alter the AP structure. Pitch values will then be extracted to verify that such changes in the AP structure conform to the pitch properties proposed for the AP (Jun 1993, 1998). The results show that the AP structure suggested by LSV does not always coincide with that imposed by the pitch properties.

Objectives This study aimed to provide a basis for treatment of soyang person by investigate published case series of soyangin Methods We have reviewed case series of soyangin in the Journal of Sasang Medicine from 2007 to 2016. Results A total of 16 case series related to soyangin were reported. Among them, herbal medicine was used in 16 papers (100.0%), of which 'Hyeongbangjihwang-tang' was the most frequently used, reported in five papers (31.3%). For acupuncture of 12 papers (75.0%), acupoint 'ST36' was the most frequently used, reported in four papers (33.3%). Conclusions Most of the included case series were effective in treating patients of soyangin. However, the number of papers was insufficient to suggest standardized treatment for "diseases-Sasang medicine pattern-treatment" systems.
