Implement of VLC System Based on CAN Communication (CAN 통신 연동 가시광 통신 시스템의 확장구현)

  • In this paper, we implement the VLC system based on CAN communication which is usually used in car, plane, ship, product line control system, medical device and industrial device. We implement the application circuit which is VLC and CAN communication and explain the principle. Circuit's pulse features are demonstrated by each part's signal. Total communication distance is 3m and it's transmission performance is error free.

  • In this paper, an interface unit is designed to efficiently monitor transmission data in Controller Area Network(CAN)-based control systems. The CAN uses a serial multi master communication protocol that efficiently supports distributed real-time control with a very high level of data integrity, and communication speeds of up to 1Mbps. The interface unit is composed of a DSP controller which collects data on the CAN bus and transfers data to a personal computer via serial communication to save and display of interesting signals. The experimental system consists of three DSP controllers which represent electronic control units of a vehicle, an interface unit for analysing the data on the bus, and a graphic monitoring program coded on the Windows platform. The validity and the effectiveness of the proposed simple type of CAN interface unit are shown through the experimental results.

  • CAN communication developed for communication between electric control devices in vehicle, was recently applied to automatic braking devices, and can also be applied to field bus for production automation. Recently, field bus is introduced in engine control, etc. for large ship. In this paper, cabin access control system can be implemented, based on CAN communication. The cabin access control system based on CAN communication consists of access control server, embedded system based on ARM9, and micro-controller built-in CAN controller. The access control server can be able to manage overall access control system by accessing with manager. And embedded system adopted ARM9 processor transmits access information of RFID reader controller connected with CAN networks to server, also performs access control. The embedded system can carry CAN frames to server, so it can be used as gateway.

  • Language is the method for communication. Semantician, G. Leech categorized the function of language as informational, expressive, directive, aesthetic and phatic one. Therefore, language can be defined as the social symbol system and the media for communication. Space, also, performs the role of symbol, information and communication. Space can be the media for the communication and the design can be logical construction process by it's arbitrary interpretation. The researcher considered the common points between verbal language and visual language as the tools for the mutual communication, tried to transit them into the 'space' as object language after analyzing 'image of poetry' as meta language, so that the old perspective of space design as function can be renewed as information system of the significant meaning delivery in the context of language's multiplicity, expandibility and changeability.

  • In this paper, we added that developed communication control system between the PLC of pressure machine and the control computer, and developed a new protocol in order to communicate between the PLC signal of pressure machine and the control computer. This communication control systems play an important role in transforming the PLC vendor self-interface type and between computer and PLC. This system has PLC access function to control computer on the backbone network, and then could be operated by PLC through this system. The benefits we can obtain by developing this communication control systems are as follows; First, we can improve the quality of goods and the management of materials using the communication network and then implement the centralization management. Second, we can decrease manpower for production. Finally, we can maximize the company's profit with the increasing productivity by supervising the equipment wrong workings in the central.

  • In order to satisfy the requirements of time reduction and cost saving for development of electronic control systems(ECU) in automotive industry, the applications of a standardized real-time operating system(RTOS) and a communication protocol to ECUs are increased. In this study, a body control module(BCM) that employs OSEK/VDX(open system and corresponding interfaces for automotive electronics/vehicle distributed executive) OS tour the RTOS and a controller area network(CAN) fur the communication protocol is designed, and the performances of the system are evaluated. The BCM controls doors, mirrors, and windows of the vehicle through the in-vehicle network. To identify all the transmitted and received control messages, a PC connected with the CAN communication protocol behaves as a CAN bus emulator. The control system based upon in-vehicle network improves the system stability and reduces the number of wiring harness. Furthermore it is easy to maintain and simple to add new features because the system is designed based on the standards of RTOS and communication protocol.

  • With the development of Cyber-Physical Systems(CPS), several technologies such as automation control, automotive and intelligent house systems have been developed. To enable communication among various components of such systems, several wired and wireless communication protocols are used. The Controller Area Network(CAN) is one of such wired communication protocols that is popularly used for communication in automobiles and other machinery in the industry. In this paper, we designed and implemented a response time analysis system for CAN communication. The reliable data transfer among various electronic components in a significant time is crucial for the smooth operation of an electric vehicle. Therefore, this system is designed to conveniently analyze the response time of various electronic components of a CAN enabled system. The priority for transmission of the messages in the CAN bus is determined by the message identifier. As the number of nodes increases the transmission of low priority messages is delayed due to the existence of higher priority messages on the bus. We used Raspberry Pi3 and PiCAN2 board to simulate the data transfer for studying the comparative delay in low priority nodes.

  • A wireless power transfer technique can solve the power capacity problem in wireless rechargeable sensor networks (WRSNs). The charging strategy is a wide-spread research problem. In this paper, we propose a demand-based charging strategy (DBCS) for WRSNs. We improved the charging programming in four ways: clustering method, selecting to-be-charged nodes, charging path, and charging schedule. First, we proposed a multipoint improved K-means (MIKmeans) clustering algorithm to balance the energy consumption, which can group nodes based on location, residual energy, and historical contribution. Second, the dynamic selection algorithm for charging nodes (DSACN) was proposed to select on-demand charging nodes. Third, we designed simulated annealing based on performance and efficiency (SABPE) to optimize the charging path for a mobile charging vehicle (MCV) and reduce the charging time. Last, we proposed the DBCS to enhance the efficiency of the MCV. Simulations reveal that the strategy can achieve better performance in terms of reducing the charging path, thus increasing communication effectiveness and residual energy utility.

  • In this study I construct CAN(Controller Area Network) for automobiles similar to LAN(Local Area Network) and build communication modules in the major part of an automobile to link several sub-systems. Since each station replaces the communication function of sub-systems and has various types of sensor, actuator, controller, and switch, every information about automobile's status is obtained from the network. The manufactured system showed a superior capability. The following is the contents of study. 1. The definition of communication packet through the analysis of CAN protocol. 2. The Design of modules using micro-controller 80C196CA. 3. The Network configuration.

  • When we execute a online game in the network, a lots of game informations and user informations are transfered between game server and game clients. This information has deferent data structure and communication protocol. So, game developers will be design the communication protocols and packet structures after analyze the game. And, they will be design the database for user management. It will be lots of overload to the game developers. From a user point of view, they must be register to each game server to use several games. It is a undesible operation for the game users. This problems are solved by using the communication server which operates commonly with several game servers. Game providers can get the benefit of multiple access of users and get freedom from user management. Game users can access the several games which connected to communication server by register the communication server only. In this paper we design the communication packet and propose a communication protocol which operates on the communication server described previous.
