광조형용 CAD/CAM 시스템 개발 (CAD/CAM System development for Stereolitihography)

  • The CAD/CAM System oriented to StereoLithographic Rapid Prototyping was constructed and developed. The software architecture uses a 586PC running the windows NT operating system. An .STL file brought into the software program can be verified in divers view points and focused for a detail of concern. A variety of Entity was applied to define an array of triangular facets and sliced loops. The system provides Edit, Scale, Orient, Copy and Divide commands to modify .STL model. The NC codes are created according to various laser beam scan pattern and the software show the parts on the platform before they are constructed. This system is written in Visual C and has been proved as a powerful tool for producing solid parts directly from a CAD modelling, using actual applications.

  • The CAM software for drill grinding has been developed to save time, reduce cost for tool manufacturing and obtain accuracy of tool. In this paper, the developing software for drill will be presented including calculation and simulation of machining processes using 5-axes CNC grinding machine. The algorithm fer helical flute grinding was applied into calculating NC data. The software will generate NC code for machining by using input data of tool geometry, wheel geometry, wheel setting, machine setting. These NC code files will be used in simulator as input file. The simulator provides some functions for simulating machining processes, inspecting and measuring tool geometry.

  • This paper aims to DNC application of car seat cushion die. DNC systems are consist of CAD(CATIA1, CAM(Z-MASTER, OMEGA) software and CNC milling machine. CAM software is purpose to G-code generation for CNC programming. Then CAM software and CNC milling machine are connect to RS-232-C cable for networking.

  • We have developed the exclusive CAD/CAM system for the machining of impeller blades. This study is about the mod-eling method for the effective machining of impeller blades farmed by ruled surface. As the impeller is consisted of boss part and blade part, the boss is modeled by rotational surface of hub curve on z-axis and the blade is described by ruled- surfaces between hub curve and shroud curve. This modeling process can be carried out on the software developed in this study. And, the developed software can describe the impeller as a solid model through interface with Solid-Works soul- ware. The developed software containing the interface method proposed in this study was very effective fur impeller modeling.

  • In this study, a CAD/CAM system for axisymmetric deep drawing processes has been developed. An approach to the system is based on the knowledge based system. Under the environment of CAD/CAM software of Personal Designer, the system has been written in UPL. The geometries of intermediate and final object in deep drawing process, including processes parameters are input for the CAD/CAM system. The input data can be obtained from the results of Pro_Deep. The parts drawing of die sets for each process is generated in tool design module of the CAD/CAM system. Also. the die assembly drawings can be obtained. NC commands for machining of the part can be generated in the developed CAD/CAM system.

  • Generally Cam-Follower systems consist of two elements: Cam is for rotating motion and follower for reciprocating motion. Depending on the shape of cam and type of follower, the motion of cam-follower system is determined. Thus design process and analysis process must be well defined. The design process means to find the coordinates of cam shape which can be defined the given motion of follower and the analysis process means to determine the motion curve of follower corresponding to the given cam based on the dimensions of a cam-follower system. This paper consists of two parts: One is development of a numerical method for design and analysis of cam-follower systems, the other is for development of a CAD program and its application. As the first part of the paper, an iterative contact method is proposed. This method can calculate the contact points between cam and roller and determine their contact angles iteratively. The second part of the paper presents the structure of a CAD program and its availability to the industrial applications.

  • This study deals with the development of CAM system which can machine and measure any shape of mold and die by machining center and coordinate measureing machine . The overall goal of the CAM system is to achieve the mold and die machining , from digitizing through to final cutting. The hardware of the system comprises PC and machining center. CMM. There are three steps in the mold and die machining. (1) measuring of physical model by the CMM, (2) geometric modeling by the CAD system, (3) generation of NC code by the tool path compensated for tool radius. It is developed a software package, with which can conduct a micro CAM system in the PC without economical burden.

  • The pupose of this study is the development of CAM system which can cut any shape by CNC lathe.. The overall goal of the CAM system is to achieve the CNC lathe machining, form roughing through to final measuring. The hardware of the system comprises PC and CNC lathe. There are three steps in the CNC lathe machining, (1) geometric modeling by the shape patterns, (2) NC commands generation by the tool path compensated for tool nose radius,(3) machining and workpiece measuring on the lathe. It is developed a software package, with which can conduct a micro CAM system in the PC without economical burden.
