  • In this study, the effects of carbonization temperature on the physico-chemical properties of porous wood charcoal are studied by FT-IR and Raman spectroscopies. IR studies showed that cellulose and hemicellulose are mostly decomposed in the precarbonization stage at $500^{\circ}C$, while the decomposition reaction of relatively more stable lignin lasts up to $700^{\circ}C$. Above $900^{\circ}C$, the peak at $1575cm^{-1}$ disappears and a new peak at $1630cm^{-1}$, which seems to be related to the new carbon deposit phase, is evolved. The results of Raman studies, which show the red-shift of D-band and the increase in the relative intensity of D- to G-band, indicate that the size of the crystalline becomes smaller with increasing the carbonization temperature.

  • The methastable state diamond films have been deposited on Si substrates using MWPCVD. Effects of each experimental parameters of MWPCVD including $CH_4$ conentrations, Oxygen additions, Operating pressure, etc. on the growth rate and crystallinity were invesitigated. The best crystallinity of the film at 3% methane concentration addition of oxygen to the $CH_4-H_2O$ mixture gave an improved film crystallinity at 50% oxygen concentration. Upon increasing the operating pressure, the growth rate and crystallinity were increased simultaneously.

  • This paper estimate coefficient of adhesion through speed sensor-less vector control and load torque disturbance observer used for maximum tractive force control. And also proposes anti-slip control algorithm, which controls torque force of motor in order to keep the estimated adhesion force in maximum adhesion by controlling PI torque with the differential value of estimated adhesion force coefficient.

  • In order to analyse the degradation process of epoxy/glass fiber for outdoor condition, FRP laminate was exposed to the wavelength of ultraviolet rays and evaluated by comparing contact angle, surface resistivity, surface potential decay, and ESCA spectrum respectively. Finally, We can conclude that the degradation phenomena on the surface of epoxy composites are dominated by the induction of ester and carboxyl groups.

We have reported previously that apicidin. a histione deacetylase inhibitor. inhibited the proliferation of tumor cells via induction of p21 WAF/C1P1. We extended our study to identify the effect of apicidin on the expression of other cell cycle regulatory protein. such as cyclin E. a critical regulator of the transition from G1 into S phase.   • This paper presents the new protective relaying scheme as a method for discriminating of power transform's transient state associated with magnetizng inrush state and internal fault using wavelet transforms. The simulation of EMTP with respect to different fault and inrush condition in transformer have been conducted, and the result prove that the preposed method is able to discriminate between inrush magnetizing current and internal fault.

  • Purpose: This study was performed to investigate processability of the dental zirconia block. Most of the CAD/CAM zirconia restorations utilize the partially sintered blocks, which are sintered at a temperature lower than $1100^{\circ}C$. Methods: Partially sintered zirconia samples were prepared $40{\times}30{\times}10mm$ and surface treatment by #2000 sandpaper. Scratch hardness was determined by the procedure of ASTM G171-03 using a scratch hardness tester(KS TECH, Korea) equipped with a real time load detector to measure tangential force during scratching. The scratch rate was 30 mm/min. Results: Scratch hardness(Hs) increases steeply with increase in the loads. The highest Hs was sampl 1.42 GPa and lowest was sample 0.42 GPa. Conclusion : The machinability of partially sintered CAD/CAM zirconia blocks can be optivized by manipulation of Hs.

  • The marine diesel engine have been widely applied with a mechanical hydraulic governor to control the ship speed for long time. But it was recently very difficult for the mechanical hydraulic governor to control the speed of engine under the condition of low speed and low load because of jiggling by rough fluctuation of rotating torque and hunting by dead time of diesel engine. In order to analyze the speed control system the transfer function was converted from z to w transformation. The author proposed velocity control system with feedback loop by PID controller in order to stabilize for unstable area. The influence of dead time was discussed by Nichols chart and unit step response curve. It was confirmed through computer simulation that the performance improvement of a mechanical hydraulic governor can be obtained by PID controller.

  • Neutral line current is analyzed by the neutral line CF in nonlinear load balanced and unbalanced conditions. The worst nonlinear load condition is nonlinear balanced load condition. and It is below CFNL=1.194 that a neutral line current could not excess the rated value.

  • 유류비용의 증가, 환경보존, 기존 에너지원의 분산전원으로서의 신재생에너지에 대한 관심과 연구, 개발, 보급등에 대한 관심이 고조되고 있는 현실에서 신재생에너지원에서 발생되는 출력 및 발전환경에 대한 관리 기법의 중요성은 나날히 증가하고 있다. 본 논문에서는 기존의 신재생에너지 시스템의 관리 현황을 분석하고 새로운 방식을 제안함으로서 신재생에너지에서 출력되는 데이터의 효율적인 관리가 가능하도록 하는 네트워크 통합관리 기능에 대해 논하고자 한다. 본 논문에서는 효율적인 관리 툴의 프로그래밍을 위해 NI사의 LabVIEW S/W를 사용하였으며 각각의 데이터 수집을 위해 DAQ와 측정 트랜듀서를 사용하였다.
