아세토니트릴-메탄올 혼합용매계에서 질산벤질과 아닐린의 친핵성 치환반응 (Kinetic Studies on the Nucleophilic Reactions of Substituted Benzylnitrates with Anilines in $CH_3CN-CH_3OH$)

  • 50-100% $CH_3CN-CH_3OH$ 혼합용매계에서 파라-치환된 질산벤질과 아닐린과의 친핵성 치환반응에 대한 2차 속도상수를 전기전도도법으로 구하였다. 속도자료를 이용하여 Hammett ${\rho}_N$${\rho}_C$값, Bronsted $\beta$값 및 용매화 파라미터 계수들을 구하였으며 이들을 PES및 양자역학 모형에 적용하여 구조 변화를 논의하였다. 연구 결과 결합형성보다 결합절단이 비교적 많이 진행된 상태에서 치환기 변화에 따라 결합절단의 진척이 결합형성을 촉진하는 동시적 $S_N2$ 반응메카니즘으로 진행됨을 알았다.

Influence of Oxyfluorination on Properties of Polyacrylonitrile (PAN)- Based Carbon Fibers

  • In this study, the oxyfluorination of PAN-based carbon fibers was undertaken at room temperature using fluorine-oxygen mixtures, and the influence of oxyfluorination on properties was investigated. The surface characteristics of the modified fiber were determined by using X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS) and dynamic contact angle analyzer. The oxyfluorination of carbon fibers was one of the more effective methods to increase surface wettability by the formation of semicovalent C-F bond and C-O bond depending on reaction conditions. When oxygen mole fraction is increased from 0.5 to 0.9, it is probable that attached fluorine atoms at the surface of the fibers reacted with other components. As increased oxyfluorination time and decreased its pressures, semi-covalent peak is increased at 0.5 of oxygen mole fraction. The total surface free energy of oxyfluorinated carbon fibers decreased with increasing oxygen mole fraction over 0.5. These results indicate that the surface of carbon fibers became much more hydrophilic after the short oxyfluorination. The surface free energy of oxyfluorinated carbon fibers progressively decreased after 10 min treatment. The polar components of surface free energies were however, significantly higher for all oxyfluorinated samples than that for the untreated carbon fiber.

The improvement of Cu metal film adhesion on polymer substrate by the low-power High-frequency ion thruster

  • The adhesion interface formation between copper and poly(ethylene terephthalate)(PET), poly(methyl methacrylate)(PMMA) and Polyimide films was treated using Ion assisted reaction system to sequential sputter deposition by High-Frequency ion source. The ion beam modification system used a new type of low power HF ion thruster for space application as new low thruster electric propulsion system. Low power HF ion thruster with diameter 100mm gives the opportunity to obtain beams of Ar+ with currents 20~150 mA (current density 0.5~3.5 mA/cm2) and energy 200~2500eV at HF power level 10~150 W. Using Ar as a working gas it is possible to obtain thrust within 3~8 mN. Contact angles for untreated films were over 95$^{\circ}$ and 80 for Pet, 10o for PMMA and 12o for PI samples as a condition of ion assisted reaction at the ion dose of 10$\times$1016 ions/cm2, the ion beam potential of 1.2 keV and 4 ml/min for environmental gas flow rate. 900o peel tests yielded values of 15 to 35 for PET, 18 to 40 and 12 to 36 g/min. respectively. High resolution X-ray photoelectron spectrocopy is the Cls region for Cu metal on these polymer substrates showed increases in C=O-O groups for polymide, whereas PET and PMMA treated samples showed only C=O groups with increase the ion dose. Finally, unstable polymer surface can be changed from hydrophobic to hydrophilic formation such as C-O and C=O that were confirmed by the XPS analysis, conclusionally, the ion assisted reaction is very effective tools to attach reactive ion species to form functional groups on C-C bond chains of PET, PMMA and PI.

  • Nucleophilic addition reactions of p-substitutedbenzylamines $(XC _6H_4CH _2NH _2)$ to $\alpha$-phenyl-$\beta$-thiophenyl-acrylonitriles ($YC _4SH _2CH=C(CN)C_6H_4$Y') have been studied in acetonitrile at 25.0, 30.0, and 35.0 ${^{\circ}C}$. The reactions take place in single step in which the $C_\beta$ -N bond formation and proton transfer to $C_\alpha$ of $\alpha$-phenyl-$\beta$-thiophenylacrylonitriles occur concurrently with four-membered cyclic transition structure. These mechanistic conclusions are drawn based on (i) the large negative $\rho$x and large positive $\rho$Y' values and also large magnitude of $\rho$X, (ii) the negative sign and large magnitude of the cross-interaction constants ($\rho$XY), (iii) the normal kinetic isotope effects ($k_H/k_D$ > 1.0), and (iv) relatively low $\Delta H ^\neq$ and large negative $\Delta S ^\neq$ values.

체액 모사 인산폐수로부터 인공뼈 재료로서의 수산아파타이트 합성에 관한 연구 (Synthesis of Hydroxyapatite as the Artificial Bone Materials from Phosphate Wastewater Simulating Human Body Fluid)

  • 인이 함유된 폐수를 칼슘으로 침전 처리하는 과정에서 폐수에 존재하는 다른 물질들의 조성이 body fluid와 동일한 상황을 상정하여 하이드록시아파타이트 침전물을 인공 뼈의 재료로 활용하는 방안에 대한 기초 연구를 수행하고자 합성된 인공의 인산폐수 내에서 수산아파타이트 결정의 생성과정을 조사하였다. 수산아파타이트의 결정은 인공폐수 내에서 Ca($NO_3$)$_2$$.$$4H_2$O와 ($NH_4$)$_2$ $HPO_4$을 각각 과포화 시켜 침전반응을 일으켜 생성하였으며, 이 때 석출된 결정은 8$0^{\circ}C$에서 건조과정을 거쳐 그 조성을 분석하였으며, 소결 온도에 따른 결정 구조의 차이점과 결정 생성의 열적 거동을 검토하였다. DTA/TG 결과 $100^{\circ}C$부근에서 $H_2O$의 증발이 관찰되었으며 $250^{\circ}C$에서 암모니아의 분해와 lattice water의 휘발에 의한 무게 감소가 나타났다. 열처리된 시료의 XRD 분석결과 시료의 대부분이 수산아파타이트로 구성되어 있었다. FT-IR측정 결과 건조 시료의 경우, 인공 인폐수 제조에 사용된 물질의 bond가 관찰되었으며, 열분해 한 시료의 경우, hydroxyapatite의 구성성분과 동일한 $OH^{-}$ , PO$_4^{3-}$ , $CO_3^{2-}$ bond가 관찰되었다.

  • 열차폐코팅층의 박리는 세라믹/금속접합층 계면에서 취성이 큰 스피텔의 생성, 금속과 세라믹의 열팽창계수의 차이, 세라믹층의 상변태, 코팅층의 잔류응력에 기인한다. 본 연구에서는 인코넬 713C에 전자빔 코팅 및 플라즈마 용사법으로 코팅된 안정화지르코니아/CoNiCrAIY 계면의 산화거동을 조사하기 위하여 $900^{\circ}C$에서 등온산화시험동안 생성되는 산화막층과 스피넬 생성 거동을 관찰, 분석하였다. 코팅 직후 코팅층에 고르게 분포하고 있는 Co,Ni,Cr,AI,Zr의 원소들이 산화시간에 따라 확산하여 산화반응을 하였다. 초기 20시간의 산화기시간에 안정화지르코니아/CoNiCrAIY 계면에 주요 성분이 $\alpha$-$AI_2O_3$인 산화막층이 생성되었고, CoNiCrAIY층에는 AI의 외부확산으로 인한 AI 결핍지역이 생성되었다. 산화시험동안 $\alpha$-AI2O층이 임계두께까지 성장한 후에 산화막층의 성장속도는 감소하였고, 안정화지르코니아/산화막층 계면에 스피넬, $Cr_2O_3$, $CO_2CrO_4$의 형성으로 인한 크랙이 관찰되었다.

  • $trans-PdEt_2(PMe_3)_2$와 styrene을 반응시켜 얻어진 $Pd(PMe_3)_2$(styrene)에 methacrylic acid와 trans-crotonic acid를 각각 반응시켜 새로운 팔라듐(O)-올레핀착물로서 $(PMe_3)_2Pd{CH_2=C(CH_3)COOH}$(PMe_3)_2Pd{(CH_3)CH=CHCOOH}$를 합성하고, 구조와 특성을 원소분석, IR 및 $^1H-,\;^{13}C-,\;^{31}P-NMR$ 등의 분광학적 방법으로 조사하였다. methacrylic acid 와 trans-crotonic acid에 존재하는 올레핀의 이중결합은 팔라듐(O)에 ${\pi}$-결합을 형성하였고, 카르복실산은 팔라듐에 결합되지 않았음을 알게되었다. 그리고 동일한 반응에서 metallacycle을 형성하는 3-butenoic acid와 비교 검토하였다.

벤질 m-술폰산니트로벤젠과 N,N-디메틸아닐린類와의 反應에 關한 反應速度論的 硏究 (Kinetic Studies on the Reaction of Benzyl m-Nitrobenzenesulfonate with N,N-Dimethylanilines)

  • Benzyl m-nitrobenzenesulfonate와 N,N-dimethylaniline類와의 反應速度를 아세톤 溶媒에서 電氣傳導度法으로 測定하였다. N,N-디메틸아닐린의 反應性에 關한 置換基效果와 直線 自由에너지 關係를 考察하였다. 反應速度常數 k는 2.55∼487 $10^{-4}l{\cdot}mol^{-l}{\cdot}sec^{-1} (35^{\circ}C)$였으며 置換基가 電子를 주는 能力이 클수록 反應은 빨랐다. Hammett 도시에서 置換基常數 ${\sigma}$${\sigma}p$-MeO = -0.35의 새로운 값을 使用했을때 ${\rho}$ = -1.37의 좋은 直線이 얻어졌다. 本反應의 경우 r값은 브롬화벤질에 比해 큰 값을 가졌다. Bronsted 圖示에서 溶媒效果에 基因된 p-MeO基를 除外하고는 좋은 直線이 얻어졌으며 C${\cdot}{\cdot}{\cdot}$O 結合의 쪼개짐이 結合 形成보다 優先的인 $S_N2$ 轉移狀態를 갖는다고 推定된다.

Kinetics and Mechanism of the Anilinolysis of Aryl Ethyl Isothiocyanophosphates in Acetonitrile

  • The nucleophilic substitution reactions of Y-aryl ethyl isothiocyanophosphates with substituted X-anilines and deuterated X-anilines were investigated kinetically in acetonitrile at $75.0^{\circ}C$. The free energy relationships with X in the nucleophiles exhibited biphasic concave downwards with a break point at X = H. A stepwise mechanism with rate-limiting bond formation for strongly basic anilines and with rate-limiting bond breaking for weakly basic anilines is proposed based on the negative and positive ${\rho}_{XY}$ values, respectively. The deuterium kinetic isotope effects (DKIEs; $k_H/k_D$) changed gradually from primary normal with strongly basic anilines, via primary normal and secondary inverse with aniline, to secondary inverse with weakly basic anilines. The primary normal and secondary inverse DKIEs were rationalized by frontside attack involving hydrogen bonded, four-center-type TSf and backside attack involving in-line-type TSb, respectively.

Dual Substituent Effects on Pyridinolysis of Bis(aryl) Chlorothiophosphates in Acetonitrile

  • The nucleophilic substitution reactions of bis(Y-aryl) chlorothiophosphates (1) with X-pyridines are investigated kinetically in acetonitrile at $35.0^{\circ}C$. The free energy relationships with both X and Y are biphasic concave upwards with a break point at X = 3-Ph and Y = H, respectively. The sign of cross-interaction constants (CICs; ${\rho}_{XY}$) is positive with all X and Y. Proposed mechanism is a stepwise process with a rate-limiting leaving group departure from the intermediate with all X and Y. The kinetic results of 1 are compared with those of Y-aryl phenyl chlorothiophosphates (2). In the case of Y = electron-withdrawing groups, the cross-interaction between Y and Y, due to additional substituent Y, is significant enough to change the sign of ${\rho}_{XY}$ from negative with 2 to positive with 1, indicative of the change of mechanism from a rate-limiting bond formation to bond breaking.
