Objective: The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of amorfrutin of licorice for Type2 diabetes mellitus. Method: The PubMed, CNKI, Wanfang, OASIS, NDSL, J-STAGE, and CiNii databases were searched from the beginning of the search to September 20, 2020, with no limits on language. Extractions and selections from the literature were made by two authors. The study included in vivo experiments with amorfrutins in high-fat diet-induced obesity C57BL/6 mice and leptin receptor-deficient db/db mice and in silico studies. Results & Conclusion: Four studies were finally selected. We confirmed that amorfrutin treatment considerably improved insulin sensitivity and glucose tolerance and reduced plasma insulin and glucose. Amorfrutins bind to and selectively activate Peroxisome Proliferator-Activated Receptor Gamma (PPARγ), which plays an important role in glucose metabolism. Amorfrutins also strongly bind to the glucagon receptor (GCGR) and work as antagonist. Using the amorfrutins from licorice could therefore be helpful in treating type2 diabetes mellitus.

This paper presents a real-time, false-pick filter based on deep learning to reduce false alarms of an onsite Earthquake Early Warning (EEW) system. Most onsite EEW systems use P-wave to predict S-wave. Therefore, it is essential to properly distinguish P-waves from noises or other seismic phases to avoid false alarms. To reduce false-picks causing false alarms, this study made the EEWNet Part 1 'False-Pick Filter' model based on Convolutional Neural Network (CNN). Specifically, it modified the Pick_FP (Lomax et al.) to generate input data such as the amplitude, velocity, and displacement of three components from 2 seconds ahead and 2 seconds after the P-wave arrival following one-second time steps. This model extracts log-mel power spectrum features from this input data, then classifies P-waves and others using these features. The dataset consisted of 3,189,583 samples: 81,394 samples from event data (727 events in the Korean Peninsula, 103 teleseismic events, and 1,734 events in Taiwan) and 3,108,189 samples from continuous data (recorded by seismic stations in South Korea for 27 months from 2018 to 2020). This model was trained with 1,826,357 samples through balancing, then tested on continuous data samples of the year 2019, filtering more than 99% of strong false-picks that could trigger false alarms. This model was developed as a module for USGS Earthworm and is written in C language to operate with minimal computing resources.

In this paper, we propose a system that can detect the shape of a hand at high speed using an FPGA. The hand-shape detection system is designed using Verilog HDL, a hardware language that can process in parallel instead of sequentially running C++ because real-time processing is important. There are several methods for hand gesture recognition, but the image processing method is used. Since the human eye is sensitive to brightness, the YCbCr color model was selected among various color expression methods to obtain a result that is less affected by lighting. For the CbCr elements, only the components corresponding to the skin color are filtered out from the input image by utilizing the restriction conditions. In order to increase the speed of object recognition, a median filter that removes noise present in the input image is used, and this filter is designed to allow comparison of values and extraction of intermediate values at the same time to reduce the amount of computation. For parallel processing, it is designed to locate the centerline of the hand during scanning and sorting the stored data. The line with the highest count is selected as the center line of the hand, and the size of the hand is determined based on the count, and the hand and arm parts are separated. The designed hardware circuit satisfied the target operating frequency and the number of gates.

Due to various project delivery methods and the complexity of construction projects in the construction industry, developing the framework of construction management for critical, highly complex projects in the construction industry has become problematic. Currently, a set of construction manuals play a pivotal role in planning and managing construction projects as subcontractors try to complete their scope of work according to the instructions of a general contractor. It is challenging for general contractors to write a construction management procedure manual to cover various types of project delivery methods and construction projects. In construction, the construction procedure manuals describe specific actions to be taken through the project. In reality a few contactors own such manuals and their construction schedules include more construction operation activities. Thus, it is hard to estimate the workload and productivity of construction managers because the manual and the schedule do not present the amount of management efforts required to complete a project. This paper proposes a framework to present construction management tasks according to project delivery methods which can be applied to various construction projects. Actions for management tasks were mapped and were integrated with construction activities throughout the project life cycle. The framework can then be used to give specific instructions to project participants, collect management actions, and replicate management actions throughout the project life cycle. The framework can also be can used to visualize complete construction project to analyze and manage construction management activities in each phase of a project in order to enhance productivity and efficiency. The studies of existing construction manuals were carried out to identify construction managers' responsibilities. An artificial intelligence program, CLIPS (C-Language Integrated Production System) was used to search for appropriate actions for impending tasks from a set of predefined actions to be performed for a given situation. The framework would significantly help construction managers to understand interrelations among management tasks or actions within a project. Furthermore, the framework can be embedded into Building Information Modeling (BIM) or Facility Management Systems (FMS) so that designers and constructors would execute constructability review before construction begins.

An architect creates his/her design to meet owner's requirements. Floor plans, perspective drawings, and scale models are used in order for the owner to choose the design. The tools are a little helpful for communication between the architect and the owner in case the owner does not know architecture. The scale models are good, but it is hard to make scale models while design is in progress. 3D CAD is a good tool for communication, but it is time-consuming and requires high-performance computer hardware. Augmented reality is able to show 3D virtual models that are updated by the architect with smart devices such as a smart phone and a tablet PC. The owner frequently reviews the updated design anytime anywhere. This study proposes a method to use augmented reality for architectural design and construction management. The method supports the communication between the owner, the architect and the contractor to review updated designs, and to complete the building project. 3D models expressed in augmented reality are created using SketchUp with 2D drawings for building construction. An Android application implementing augmented reality is developed by Qualcomm Vuforia and Unity on smart devices. Drawings as markers and 3D models are connected in Unity. And functions that temporarily hide unnecessary parts can be implemented in C# programming language. If an owner, an architect, or a contractor looks at a smart phone on a 2D drawing, he/she can identify building elements such as 3D buildings or columns on a screen. This can help communication between them.
Mental health is attributed to person's well-being, abilities and productivity. The purpose of this study is to suggest the effects of K-culture to people in adversity. It is PungmulPanGut, represented by traditional Korean play culture. Pungmul is a performance with four percussion instruments, Janggu (Korean hourglass drum), Buk (barrel shaped drum), Jing (large gong), Kkwaenggwari (small gong), and play. In Korean, "pan" means that it's a place to do something. Gut means to make a wish. The ensemble Better Than Medicine (eBTM) is a team that has trained and worked with Gamuak (歌,舞,樂; singing, dancing, playing) for a long time, but is not perfect (we refer this as 2% lacking in music). The characteristic of our team is that we share joy while voluntarily participating and doing what we like. It is a combination of singing, dancing, playing musical instruments, and exciting people. There is wind-like energy and there is mutual cooperation, not competition. As we concentrate, we become immersed in each other's breathing and movement. So it makes us forget the hard situation, the hardships, the pain, and so on. In the meantime, our pleasures peak and share happy energy with each other. Even though we are two percent less skilled, our sense of happiness doubles. Music together is not competition but cooperative work and healing. Therefore, we suggest that PungmulPanGut can be better K-culture than medicine in promoting mental health.
An analysis for the computation of Fatigue Damage Index (FDI) under the effects of the various combination of the ocean loads like random waves, current, platform motion and VIV (Vortex Induced Vibration) for a certain design water depth is a critically important part of the analysis and design of the marine riser platform integrated system. Herein, a 'Computer Simulation Model (CSM)' is developed to combine the advantages of the frequency domain and time domain. A case study considering a steel catenary riser operating in 1000 m water depth has been conducted with semi-submersible. The riser is subjected to extreme environmental conditions and static and dynamic response analyses are performed and the Response Amplitude Operators (RAOs) of the offshore platform are computed with the frequency domain solution. Later the frequency domain results are integrated with time domain analysis system for the dynamic analysis in time domain. After that an extensive post processing is done to compute the FDI of the marine riser. In the present paper importance is given to the nature of the current profile and the VIV. At the end we have reported the detail results of the FDI comparison with VIV and without VIV under the linear current velocity and the FDI comparison with linear and power law current velocity with and without VIV. We have also reported the design recommendations for the marine riser in the regions where the higher fatigue damage is observed and the proposed CSM is implemented in industrially used standard soft solution systems (i.e., OrcaFlex*TM and Ansys AQWA**TM), Ms-Excel***TM, and C++ programming language using its object oriented features.
The purpose of this study was to understand the meaning and essence of leisure activities experienced by older females in rural communities and, in reference to that, to provide basic data to help develop health-promoting nursing intervention programs by investigating the indications of leisure and its effects on older individuals' life process. The qualitative research method of van Manen's Hermeneutical analysis and Phenomenological research are useful to study the true meaning and nature of experiences inherited from their language, belief, culture and social traditions. Consequently, the leisure that the women from the rural community were found to have experienced came down to a total of seven themes or activities: (a) to overcome loneliness through social interaction and get-togethers; (b) to achieve balance between body and mind by engaging in physical activities; (c) to try and help ease the burden on one's children; (d) to simply kill time; (e) to find oneself small pleasures; (f) to learn something new and feel proud; and (g) to live one's life as maintaining communication with the outside world. The study herein confirmed that the female elderly in rural area spend their free time on appreciating the nature, maintaining health and social interaction and hanging around with the peers of similar age to overcome economic woes and the feeling of estrangement unique in the social and economic context of rural communities.
Helicobacter pylori infection is often acquired in early childhood. While most infected children remain asymptomatic, H. pylori can cause chronic gastritis, gastric ulceration, and, in the long term, gastric cancer. This article aimed to review different diagnostic and treatment options and discuss the challenges associated with applying the current guidelines in the real world. Relevant articles published from 2015 to August 2023 in the English language in PubMed and Medline electronic databases were extracted using subject headings and keywords of interest to the topic. References of interest in the selected articles were also considered. Invasive and noninvasive diagnostic tests have advantages but also disadvantages and limitations according to the clinical setting and age of the child. Guidelines recommend not performing diagnostic testing in children with long-lasting or recurrent abdominal complaints or cases of a family history of severe disease caused by H. pylori. However, parents regularly consult with the explicit demand to test for H. pylori because of them or a close family member experiencing severe gastric disease caused by H. pylori. In some situations, it may be challenging for the healthcare professional to stick to evidence-based guidelines and not consider "patient-centered care," with the risk of putting a trustful relationship in danger. Physicians may find it challenging not to perform diagnostic tests for H. pylori and prescribe eradication treatment in specific clinical settings when maintaining a trusting patientphysician relationship by applying this "patient-centered care" method when evidence-based guidelines recommend differently.

Purpose When the patients takes myocardial perfusion SPECT using $^{201}Tl$, the operator gives the patients an injection of $^{201}Tl$. But the uniformity correction map in SPECT uses $^{99m}Tc$ uniformity correction map. Thus, we want to compare the image quality when it uses $^{99m}Tc$ uniformity correction map and when it uses $^{201}Tl$ uniformity correction map. Materials and Methods Phantom study is performed. We take the data by Asan medical center daily QC condition with flood phantom including $^{201}Tl$ 21.3 kBq/mL. After postprocessing with this data, we analyze CFOV integral uniformity(I.U) and differential uniformity(D.U). And we take the data with Jaszczak ECT Phantom by American college of radiology accreditation program instruction including $^{201}Tl$ 33.4 kBq/mL. After post processing with this data, we analyze spatial Resolution, Integral Uniformity(I.U), coefficient of variation(C.V) and Contrast with Interactive data language program. Results In the flood phantom test, when it uses $^{99m}Tc$ uniformity correction map, Flood I.U is 3.6% and D.U is 3.0%. When it uses $^{201}Tl$ uniformity correction map, Flood I.U is 3.8% and D.U is 2.1%. The flood I.U is worsen about 5%, but the D.U is improved about 30% inversely. In the Jaszczak ECT phantom test, when it uses $^{99m}Tc$ uniformity correction map, SPECT I.U, C.V and contrast is 13.99%, 4.89% and 0.69. When it uses $^{201}Tl$ uniformity correction map, SPECT I.U, C.V and contrast is 11.37%, 4.79% and 0.78. All of data are improved about 18%, 2%, 13% The spatial resolution was no significant changes. Conclusion In the flood phantom test, Flood I.U is worsen but Flood D.U is improved. Therefore, it's uncertain that an image quality is improved with flood phantom test. On the other hand, SPECT I.U, C.V, Contrast are improved about 18%, 2%, 13% in the Jaszczak ECT phantom test. This study has limitations that we can't take all variables into account and study with two phantoms. We need think about things that it has a good effect when doctors decipher the nuclear medicine image and it's possible to improve the image quality using the uniformity correction map of other radionuclides other than $^{99m}Tc$, $^{201}Tl$ when we make other nuclear medicine examinations.
