Many manufacturers applying third party logistics (3PLs) have some challenges to increase their logistics efficiency. This study introduces an effort to estimate the weight of the delivery trucks provided by 3PL providers, which allows the manufacturer to package and load products in trailers in advance to reduce delivery time. The accuracy of the weigh estimation is more important due to the total weight regulation. This study uses not only the data from the company but also many general prediction variables such as weather, oil prices and population of destinations. In addition, operational statistics variables are developed to indicate the availabilities of the trucks in a specific weight category for each 3PL provider. The prediction model using XGBoost regressor and permutation feature importance method provides highly acceptable performance with MAPE of 2.785% and shows the effectiveness of the developed operational statistics variables.
The maximum weight of single stock in mutual fund is limited by regulations to enforce diversification. Under incomplete information with added constraints on portfolio weights, enhanced performance had been reported in previous researches. We analyze a weight vector to examine the effects of additional constraints on the portfolio's performance by computing the Euclidean distance from the in-sample tangency portfolio, as opposed to previous researches which analyzed ex-post return only. Empirical experiment was performed on Mean-variance and Minimum-variance model with Fama French's 30 industry portfolio and 10 industry portfolio for the last 1,000 months from August 1932 to November 2015. We find that diversification-constrained portfolios have 7% to 26% smaller Euclidean distances with the benchmark portfolio compared to those of unconstrained portfolios and 3% to 11% greater Sharpe Ratio.
In this study, we analyzed the factors affecting the introduction of Smart Factory by domestic SMEs through AHP analysis and tried to provide implications for the introduction of Smart Factory. It was confirmed that the manufacturing and introduction group, the non-manufacturing introduction group, and the already introduced group had the highest weight in the cost reduction in the first hierarchy standard. At this time, it can be seen that the weight for cost reduction is relatively high in the manufacturing introduction group and the introduction group, and the weight for the productivity improvement is relatively high in the non-manufacturing introduction group. It can also be seen that the portion of marketing enhancement does not have a significant impact on smart factory choices. It was confirmed that image enhancement is the highest in the manufacturing introduction group and the non-manufacturing introduction group in the first hierarchy standard, and the marketing has the highest weight in the introduction group. In the two - tiered standard, customer - friendly and proper inventory maintenance weights were relatively high in all the introduced groups, except for the high rankings.
Recently, the logistics companies are constructing distribution market for logistics service in hinterland which is convenient for management and activity of logistics. Since the expansion of hinterland has physical constraints and related to the adjacent cities, it is vital to select value added types of logistics in the business. This study determines the priority of logistics business types in the hinterland of Busan's new port using DHP, and also it suggests future types of logistics business by comparing result of study with the enterprises located in the hinterland. As a result, the inter-modal transport business has higher weight than the storage business. The distribution manufacturing business also has relatively high weight. Therefore, the inter-modal business and storage business need to keep a present status in hinterland, and the distribution manufacturing business should consolidate the role.
The aim at this paper is to provide how to adopt statistical technique like Lisrel, one at the software programs, to secondary data tram Lee Yong-Ju(1998). We develop three research questions and analyze the data at women in their twenties to their fifties simultaneously rather than each age group so that we compare the results at each age group within one model in this study. At each age group the relationships between the satisfaction at the weight and women's lower body parts regarding waist girth, hip girth and thigh girth are investigated. The results reveal that women are satisfied with different lower body parts according to the satisfaction of their weight in terms of their age range and imply the satisfaction of their lower body parts by analyzing the satisfaction of their weight does not correspond with increases in their age.
The purpose of this study was to analyze body image of women and investigate the relationships of apparel management behavior and weight(figure) control behavior. To achieve the purposes, a questionnaire was conducted to 329 females from October 5 to October 25, 2011. The final data were analyzed with spss 17.0 program. The results were as follows. First, It was found that body image were classified 4 factors of care for appearance, concern about weight, effort of appearance improvement. and appearance attractiveness. Second, there were significant differences of body image by demographic characteristics. Third, there were significant differences of BMI, apparel management behavior and weight(figure) control behavior by demographic characteristics. Forth, there were significant differences of body image, apparel management behavior and weight(figure) control behavior by BMI. Fifth, there were partial significant relations of body image, BMI, appearance management behavior and weight(figure) control behavior. Thus, it was found that body image is related to appearance management behavior and weight(figure) control behavior.

How to manage a business effectively and successfully is the most important goal of all businesses on their way to expand and develop. Most researchers have confirmed that highly committed employees may perform better than less committed ones. The paper aims to find out what critical factors really affect employee's commitment for success of a business. The findings show that three factors having impacts on organizational commitment are leadership, meeting effectiveness and job satisfaction. Particularly, leadership positively affects meeting effectiveness with weight of 0.838. It is believed that if employees feel satisfied with their job, they become more committed to their organization. In addition, it is evident that meeting effectiveness positively affects organizational commitment with weight of 0.296. Last but not the least, in the relationship between meeting effectiveness and organizational commitment, there is a mediator of job satisfaction with the indirect effect of 0.454 and its bootstrap errors at 0.053. It emphasizes the importance of meetings in workplaces. In order to make subordinates satisfied with their jobs, every conflict or problem needs to be thoroughly resolved in meetings. That's why meeting effectiveness has a significant effect on job satisfaction. Furthermore, whether meetings are effective or not is based on leaders or meeting organizers.

This paper empirically explores the predicting ability of the newly proposed smooth transition (ST) time-varying combining forecast methods. The proposed method allows the "weight" of combining forecasts to change gradually over time through its unique feature of transition variables. Stock market returns from 7 countries were applied to Ad Hoc models, the well-known Generalized Autoregressive Conditional Heteroskedasticity (GARCH) family models, and the Smooth Transition Exponential Smoothing (STES) models. Of the individual models, GJRGARCH and STES-E&AE emerged as the best models and thereby were chosen for constructing the combined forecast models where a total of nine ST combining methods were developed. The robustness of the ST combining forecasts is also validated by the Diebold-Mariano (DM) test. The post-sample forecasting performance shows that ST combining forecast methods outperformed all the individual models and fixed weight combining models. This study contributes in two ways: 1) the ST combining methods statistically outperformed all the individual forecast methods and the existing traditional combining methods using simple averaging and Bates & Granger method. 2) trading volume as a transition variable in ST methods was superior to other individual models as well as the ST models with single sign or size of past shocks as transition variables.
Purpose: In this study we aim to identify factors affecting successful inter-firm collaboration. We tried to find out whether government subsidies to small-business owners should be made to experienced and competent cooperatives or to cooperatives with potential even if inexperienced. Research design, data and methodology: Using analytic hierarchy process (AHP), we examine if evaluation criteria for the Small Business Collaboration Grant (SBCG) reflect the potential of successful collaboration of applicant cooperatives. Results: We found that experts tend to think that applicant cooperatives without any experience as a recipient for the SBSG need to be evaluated by their growth potential and their preparation of the application rather than by their business performance or achievement history. The weight of the evaluation must be different between the growth potential and the achievements already achieved. By means of an expert survey, we confirmed that Rookies should weigh evaluation indicators that can reflect their growth potential, and experienced groups should give weight to evaluation indicators that can reflect their achievements. Conclusions: For SBCG applicants with experiences, experts tend to weigh more on SBCG business performances and feasible sharing systems. The screening procedure for the first applicant cooperatives need to focus more on "partner selection" stage, whereas elements related to "realization" apply to experienced applicant cooperatives.
