  • Large-scale failures resulting from natural disasters or intentional attacks are now causing serious concerns for communication network infrastructure, as the impact of large-scale network connection disruptions may cause significant costs for service providers and subscribers. In this paper, we propose a new framework for the analysis and prevention of network service disruptions in large-scale failure scenarios. We build dynamic deterministic and probabilistic models to capture the impact of regional failures as they evolve with time. A probabilistic failure model is proposed based on wave energy behaviour. Then, we develop a novel approach for preventive protection of the network in such probabilistic large-scale failure scenarios. We show that our method significantly improves uninterrupted delivery of data in the network and reduces service disruption times in large-scale regional failure scenarios.

  • This review aims to synthesize social network theories by drawing on the importance of social network perspectives in understanding knowledge management with technology in organizations. I provide an overview of prior social network research with the following core ideas: the primacy of relations between organizational actors, the utility of actors' embeddedness in social fields, the social utility of network connections, and the structural patterning of social life. On top of that, I summarize critical social perspectives (the social capital theory, the structural hole theory, the embeddedness perspective, the social exchange theory, the organizational learning theory, and the innovation diffusion theory) to suggest potential research questions for future studies in social network research in the knowledge management discipline.

  • The purpose of this study was to determine the social engagement network in Sido Muncul's CSR, the partnership program with farmers, and how the implementation of corporate social entrepreneurship in the program is carried out. The research design uses qualitative methods with a grounded theory approach that tests the validity and reliability of the data using triangulation of data sources and methods, namely, data obtained through documentation and the results of surveys and interviews to more than one observation unit. Data was obtained from surveys and interviews with Sido Muncul's Public Relations and CSR Division, as well as partner farmers. The results of this study indicate that the social engagement network in Sido Muncul's partnership program is related to the role of farmer groups, farmer cooperatives, government, NGOs, universities, and private companies as facilitators and control functions, thus creating mutually beneficial relationships with one another. The process of implementing corporate social entrepreneurship in Sido Muncul's CSR for the partnership program with farmers consists of nine stages: problem identification, coordination with related parties, allocation of resources and commitments, collaboration with NGOs, local entrepreneurs and government, social innovation and the creation of new businesses, documentation of activities, reporting, monitoring and evaluation, as well as publications.

  • Looking at the existing game-related research, innumerable researches such as game acceptance, user satisfaction, continuance intention, wold-of-mouse intention have been carried out. However, there was no cases that applying the concept of service recovery in game researches. The purpose of this study is to evaluate the impact on the characteristic of the mobile social network game that based on domestic mobile social network game platform which focusing on KakaoTalk games on the service recovery. In addition, the study analyzed the characteristic factors of mobile social network game on the basis of Organizational Equity Theory and Innovation Diffusion Theory to identified the causal relationship between those factors and service recovery. As a result, except the independent variable-compatibility, all of the characteristics factors of mobile social network game showed direct or indirect effects on service recovery. The results of this study are expected as a reference for presenting a new business model, reducing risk factors and enriching the related research of the gaming industry.

  • This study analyzes the plan to increase the social value of the KRC (Korea Rural Community Corporation). For this aim, this study examines the current status of participation in the KRC business and the social value, targeting the farmers among the external stakeholders and derived the main characteristics and important projects of the KRC using network analysis. As a result of network analysis, the rural water management business was found to be the most important business in most regions (Rural Water Development Business 0.805, Agricultural and Fishery Production Base Maintenance Business 0.758, Farmland Banking Business 0.762, Regional Development Business 0.643). On the other hand, in the case of Jeju, the agricultural production base improvement business and the regional development project were found to be the most important projects of KRC due to the unique characteristics of the region. The results of this kind of analysis differ in the importance between KRC business by region, and it is necessary to carefully review the local conditions in order to enhance social value through KRC business in the future. However, since the value of degree centrality between each business is different for each region, efforts to increase the value of KRC's social value, while accounting for local conditions, are needed.

  • The purpose of this study analyzes services and the markets creating the profit of the national home network industry and the promotion strategy will be proposed. First, the technologies and products of the home network industry are analyzed, and the value chain of this industry is grasped. Second, the home network industry is classified into the communication common carrier, the construction carrier, the content/solution carrier, and the electronic business carrier. Third, The business model of the home network industry reconstructed based on the researches of Morris et al.(2005) and Chesbrough and Rosenbloom(2002), and the strategies are analyzed. We performed the industrial analysis as the company environment analysis, factor analysis of the value creation, business strategy analysis and so on.

  • BPMS (Business Process Management Systems) is aninformation system that systematically supports designing, administrating, and improving the business processes. It can execute the business processes by assigning tasks to human or computer agents according to the predefined definitions of the processes. In this research we developed a task assignment algorithm that can maximize overall process efficiency under the limitation of agents' capacity. Since BPMS manipulates the formal and predictable business processes, we can analyze the processes using queuing theory to achieve overall process efficiency. We first transform the business processes into queuing network model in which the agents are considered as servers. After that, workloads of agents are calculated as server utilization and we can determine the task assignment policy by balancing the workloads. This will make the workloads of all agents be minimized, and the overall process efficiency is achieved in this way. Another application of the results can be capacity planning of agents in advance and business process optimization in reengineering context. We performed the simulation analysis to validate the results and also show the effectiveness of the algorithm by comparing with well known dispatching policies.

  • In this paper, a contribution is presented covering the data set in improving and developing electronic services provided to citizens through e-government services based on business intelligence in government agencies in the Republic of Sudan. The Business Intelligence Concept Survey was conducted from the perceptions of information department employees in government agencies. The survey was conducted from April to June 2021 using questionnaires. The dataset contains responses about the factors that influence the use of business intelligence and the barriers and limitations to the use of business intelligence. A five-point Likert scale was used to analyze the quantitative data. The opportunities and challenges associated with it were also discussed and explored. As evidenced by the results, the information department employees agree that business intelligence improves the government decision-making process, which helps decision makers and decision-makers to find alternatives and opportunities that contribute to making more accurate and timely decisions. The results also indicate that creating the infrastructure for applying business intelligence in the e-government work model contributes to the successful implementation of business intelligence in Sudan.

  • In biomass gasification, efficiency of energy quantification is a difficult part without finishing the process. In this article, a radial basis function neural network (RBFN) is proposed to predict biomass efficiency before gasification. RBFN will be compared with a principal component regression (PCR) and a multilayer perceptron neural network (MLPN). Due to the high dimensionality of data, principal component transform is first used in PCR and afterwards, ordinary regression is applied to selected principal components for modeling. Multilayer perceptron neural network (MLPN) is also used without any preprocessing. For this research, 3 wood samples and 3 other feedstock are used and they are near infrared (NIR) spectrum data with high-dimensionality. Ash and char are used as response variables. The comparison results of two responses will be shown.
