  • Wavelet thresholding is a method for he reduction of noise in image. Wavelet coefficients of image are correlated in local characterization. Thee correlations also appear in he original pixel representation of the image, and they do not follow from the characterizations of the wavelet transform. In this paper, we compare noise-free distributions of Bayes approach to improve the classical threshold algorithm.

  • This study focuses on spatial/temporal relationship deaths caused by Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV) and Alcohol Use Disorder (AUD). Several studies have found links between these two diseases. By looking for clusters in mortality of Alcohol and HIV related deaths this study contributes to the field through the identification of exact spatial/temporal time of high and low occurrence risks based on the observed over the expected number of deaths. This study does not provide political or social interpretations of the data. It merely wants to show where clusters are found.

  • Digitalized multimedia contents is changing active digital contents in form passed from manufacturer directly to consumer though digital network of high speed, also face with big problem that is protection of rights to protect digital contents, to protect those and effort to active digital contents process height. Also, in situation that require change to more efficient system, the efficiency of rights document that is basic intermediate to be used in business of digital contents field is emphasized. Therefore, the design of common business model to share contents that have same purpose without depending on specific system to offer contents with another system is required. This paper designed adaptable rights business model to general digital contents, and designed and implemented rights document editing system to editable document for Right management according to designed business model.

  • The Purpose of this study is to consolidate the management status of Saggoson in the Choson period by literature research, and examined latest status by field investigation. During the Choson period, there were fish distributors such as Saggoson and Kakju. Saggoson took charge of fish distribution from the fishing ground to the land, and handed over the fish to Kakju who sold over them to the whole country: This distibution system of fish was started from and adapted to the yellow-corvenia fishery of Westhern Sea. There were two resons far this. One was that these fish were. caught much from vast fishing grounds and had a very strong demand, for which professional disributors were needed. The thor was that because fishermen had very limited capital, they had to supply the money for fish production from capitalists like Kakju whom they agreed to sell fish directly to. By this time, it was thought that the fish distibution system for the Westhern Sea fishery was determined by the background and tradition. Meanwile, Saggoson, which has been working far a long time in Westhern Sea, is placed in changing circumstances. That is, small scale fishery Saggoson deals with will be getting fewer, because the big scale reclamation projects in this area threatens the fishery's existence. Also, Saggoson, presently, might be forced to become more efficient in its distribution in the future. In this situation, the management status of a Sggoson in the past and present needs to be consolidated and investigated through this study.

  • Purpose - The purpose of this study is to provide a systematic literature review related to environmental upgrading in Global Value Chains (GVCs) and suggest possible future research agendas in advancing environmental upgrading and ultimately GVC boundaries. Research design, data, and methodology - The academic databases such as Science Direct, EBSCO, ProQuest and Google Scholar were explored using a structured keywords searches to identify relevant research in the environmental upgrading area in GVCs. Only relevant papers were selected after reading the abstracts, and analyzed using qualitative content analysis. Results - Overall analysis of the literature review suggests two critical developments in the field of environmental upgrading. The first and foremost major development is an enhanced understanding of environmental upgrading as a concept and phenomenon. The second significant development is that environmental upgrading has been empirically proven to be fundamentally based on relationships and power structures within GVCs. Conclusions - Environmental upgrading in GVCs has been studied individually and not in relation to financial outcomes and social upgrading. Hence, the relationship of environmental upgrading with financial outcomes and social upgrading needs to be investigated. Furthermore, the impact of the interaction of varying institutional structures on environmental upgrading is worthy of future study.

  • This paper is to survey the research process and the problems in statistics of The Chronicle of Korea Fishery. The contents of The Chronicle were researched by two groups. One group is the managers of every province, the other group is the officers of every county. The managers performed the literature investigation research and field study and also arranged the reports from the county officers. But the managers seemed not to pay the full attention about the consistency of contents. The main contents about fishery are the number of coastal households and population, the number of fishery households and population, the number of fishing boats and fishing net. The body of The Choronicle and the table of fishing affairs in the appendages must be carefully compared to use the statistics. Though these statistics lack the consistency, the number of fishery households and boats deserves the attention. The fishing households account for less than 3% of all households, and about one third of fishing households has fishing boat.

  • This study is an analysis of the growing trend from 1971 to 1980 on the four major fisheries in Korea; large powered purse seine, anchovy drag net, two boats large trawl and one boat large trawl. The main purpose of this study is to find some solutions against the problems which these fisheries are faced with, through the analysis of the growing trend of income, capital structure and main ratios of finance. According to the result of the analysis, the problems are as following: \circled1 Revenues per vessel was decreased when catches per vessel was decreased in 1979, 1980. therefore the increase ratio of the revenues per vessel was weakened from 1979. \circled2 Catches per vessel was decreased from 1979 in spite of the increase of gross cathes in its field. \circled3 Production costs in fishing, such as the cost of wages, fuels and repairs, was steadily up year by year. \circled4 Profitability was deteriorated from 1978. \circled5 productivity was lower from 1978. \circled6 Stability was lower from 1978. The solutions out of the above problems are as follows; \circled1 Fisheries resources must be fostered. \circled2 The numbers of vessels should be reduced according to the fisheries resources. \circled3 The precise amount of resources should be dynamically estimated. \circled4 The fishermen must be educated to reduce fishing cost such as the cost of fuels and repairs, etc. \circled5 The old vessels should be replaced. \circled6 The production efficiency should be promoted. \circled7 The rate of interest should be cut down to reduce financial cost.
