  • ATM은 음성, 비데오, 벌크 데이타등과 같은 다양한 형태의 버스트 트래픽을 수용할 수 있다. ATM망에서 트래픽 소오스를 효과적으로 처리하거나 가능한한 대역폭 사용율을 증가시키기 위해서는 통계적 다중화 구조가 채택되어야 한다. 본 논문은 독립적인 입력 소오스를 갖고 유한개의 버퍼 크기를 갖는 큐잉 시스템에서 큐 상태분포를 계산하기 위한 효과적인 계산 절차를 논의하고, 이러한 반복적인 계산방법을 통해 셀 손실율을 정확하게 계산한다. 또한 동질의 ON-OFF 소오스를 갖는 ATM 다중화기에 대해 몇가지의 수치계산 예를 통해 셀 손실율의 특성을 조사해 본다.

  • We have investigated the fabrication and properties of bendable PZT film formed on plastic substrates for the application in flexible memory. These devices used the PZT active layer formed on $SiO_2/Si$ wafer by sol-gel method with optimized device layouts and Pt electrodes. After etching Pt/PZT/Pt layers, patterned by photolithography process. these layers were transferred on PET plastic substrate using elastomeric stamp. The level of performance that can be achieved approaches that of traditional PZT. devices on rigid bulk wafers.

  • 본 연구에서는 포화수증기와 공기의 혼합기내에서 분무수적으로의 열 및 질량 전달률을 계산하기 위하여 수적의 부분혼합모형과 비혼합모형에 대하여 수적내 과도온 도분포의 해석해를 적용성이 보장되면서도 계산상의 어려움이 수반되지 않는 형태로 구하기 위하여 수적내부의 열전도해석에 있어서 적분법을 적용하였다. 적분법으로 얻어지는 과도온도분포의 해는 유한차의 다항식으로 표시되어 비혼합모형인 경우 각시 간 구간의 경계에서의 온도분포가 연속성을 유지하면서 물성치들의 온도에 대한 종속 성이 쉽게 고려되고 계산도 용이한 형태이다. 본 보에서 제시하는 해석결과의 적용 성을 조사하기 위하여 완전혼합모형을 포함하는 세가지 수적모형들에 대한 계산결과들 로부터 얻어진 시간변화에 따른 수적의 무차원 체적평균온도변동을 유효한 실험결과들 과 비교, 검토하였으며, 부분혼합모형에 대하여 혼합기의 압력, 수적의 초기온도, 혼 합기 속에 포함되어 있는 수증기의 체적분율, 수적의 초기크기, 수적의 초기속도 및 분사각도가 주위혼합기로부터 수적으로 전달되는 열 및 질량전달에 미치는 영향을 조] 사하고 도출된 대표적인 검토 결과를 제시하였다.

  • As research on secondary batteries becomes important, interest in analytical methods to examine the condition of secondary batteries is also increasing. Among these methods, the electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS) method is one of the most attractive diagnostic techniques due to its convenience, quickness, accuracy, and low cost. However, since the obtained spectra are complicated signals representing several impedance elements, it is necessary to understand the whole electrochemical environment for a meaningful analysis. Based on the understanding of the whole system, the circuit elements constituting the cell can be obtained through construction of a physically sound circuit model. Therefore, this mini-review will explain how to construct a physically sound circuit model according to the characteristics of the battery cell system and then introduce the relationship between the obtained resistances of the bulk (Rb), charge transfer reaction (Rct), interface layer (RSEI), diffusion process (W) and battery characteristics, such as the state of charge (SOC), temperature, and state of health (SOH).

Rayleigh-Ritz 방법에 의한 흡음재가 부착된 직방형 소음기의 전달 손실 예측 (Prediction of the Transmission Loss of Rectangular Lined Plenum Chamber by the Rayleigh-Ritz Method)

  • The purpose of this study is on the prediction of the acoustic performance of the lined rectangular plenum chamber which can be used in the HVAC systems. The lined plenum chamber is modeled as a piston driven rectangular tube without mean flow and the acoustic pressure in the lined chamber is obtained by superposing the three dimensional pressure due to each of uniformly and harmonically fluctuating pistons. The arbitrary locations of inlet/outlet ports as well as the acoustic higher order modes generated at the area discontinuities of the port chamber interfaces are taken into consideration. The four-pole parameters can be derived by imposing the proper boundary conditions on each inlet and outlet ports. The lining material on the internal wall is assumed to be a bulk-reacting model. A single weak variation statement which satisfies the fluctuating rigid piston condition and the pressure and displacement continuity condition at the interface between the lining material and the airway was developed. The set of cosine functions were used as the admissible function when applying the Rayleigh-Ritz method. Computed results are compared with those predicted by using the locally-reacting lining material and experimental results, respectively. There are a good agreement shown between the results by the Rayleigh-Ritz method and the experiment results. The derived transfer matrices can be easily combined with other four-pole parameters of different types of mufflers for the calculation of the whole system performance.

초음파 진동자에 의해 유도된 음향유동을 이용한 첨단 냉각법 (A Novel Cooling Method by Acoustic Streaming Induced by Ultrasonic Resonator)

  • 30 ㎑의 초음파 (ultrasonic wave)의 미세 진동에 의해서 유도된 음향유동 (acoustic streaming)에 의한 공기대류를 이용한 새로운 냉각방법을 소개한다. 초음파 진동은 압전소자 (piezoelectric device)에 의해서 얻어지며 50 m 정도의 진동진폭을 얻기 위해 기계적 진동 증폭자인 혼 (horn)을 추가하여 전체 진동 시스템이 공진하도록 구성된다. 음향유동에 의한 열전달 효과의 상승을 측정하기 위해 열원 (heat source) 및 열원 주위의 대기의 온도변화를 실시간으로 측정하였다. 초음파 진동 시작 후 시간지연 없이 음향유동이 유도되어 진동자 주위의 대량의 공기유동으로 인한 급격한 온도감소가 관찰되었다. 또한 열원과 진동자와의 거리가 방사 (radiation)되는 음파 (sound wave)의 반파장 (half wave length)의 정배수가 될 때 열원의 냉각효과가 극대화됨을 실험적으로 관찰하였다. 이는 음파의 공진현상에 기인한 것으로 이론적 고찰을 통한 검증 또한 수행되었다. 음향유동을 이용한 냉각법의 장점은 초음파 진동을 이용하기 때문에 무소음이며 이동 형태의 부품이 없기 때문에 반영구적으로 사용할 수 있다. 또한 기존의 전기모터를 이용한 냉각팬 (cooling fan)으로는 냉각이 어려운 초소형 기전시스템 (MEMS)의 냉각법으로 사용될 수 있는 첨단 냉각방법이다.

광-유체링공진기(OFRR) 바이오센서에 관한 공진이동과 양호도의 시뮬레이션 (Simulation of Resonance Shift and Quality Factor for Opto-fluidic Ring Resonator (OFRR) Biosensors)

  • In this work, the finite element method was used to investigate the shifts of resonance frequencies and quality factor of whispering-gallery-mode (WGM) for an opto-fluidic ring resonator (OFRR) biosensor. To describe the near-field radiation transfer, the time-domain Maxwell's equations were employed and solved by using the in-plane TE wave application mode of the COMSOL Multiphysics with RF module. The OFRR biosensor model under current study includes a glass capillary with a diameter of 100 mm and wall thickness of 3.0 mm. The resonance energy spectrum curves in the wavelength range from 1545 nm to 1560 nm were examined under different biosensing conditions. We mainly studied the sensitivity of resonance shifts affected by changes in the effective thickness of the sensor resonator ring with a 3.0 mm thick wall, as well as changes in the refractive index (RI) of the medium inside ring resonators with both 2.5 mm and 3.0 mm thick walls. In the bulk RI detection, a sensitivity of 23.1 nm/refractive index units (RIU) is achieved for a 2.5 mm thick ring. In small molecule detection, a sensitivity of 26.4 pm/nm is achieved with a maximum Q-factor of $6.3{\times}10^3$. These results compare favorably with those obtained by other researchers.

  • This study is focused on the problems and the suggestions of proper ideas for solving them which are arisen from appling CIF, Incoterms 1990 into the contract of sale after reviewing of the contents of traditional CIF contract and the main changes of CIF, Incoterms 1990. This study summerized as follows: First, when the seller provide the buyer with non-negotiable sea waybill or inland waterway document instead of negotiable bill of lading, it is my feeling that the essence of symbolic delivery in traditional CIF contract is fading. And if the buyer has paid for the goods in advance, or a bank wishes to use the goods as security for a loan extended to the buyer, it is not sufficient that the buyer or the bank be named as consignee in a non-negotiable document. This is true because the seller by new instractions to the carrier could replace the named consignee with someone else. To protect the buyer or the bank it is therefore necessary that the original instructions from the seller to the carrier to deliver the goods to the named consignee be irrevocable. Second, CIF term can only be used for sea and inland waterway transport. When the ship's rail serves no practical purposes such as in the case of roll-on/roll-off or container traffic, CIP term instead of CIF term is more appropriate to use. Third, the EDI method still contains many legal and technical problems to be solved in order to be used thoroughly' in the international sale of goods. Therefore, the parties wishing to replace the traditional paper-based trade documents by electronic messages must exchange the agreement on EDI each other in order to prevent and sol ye unexpected problems. Forth, it may be that the goods are to be carried in bulk without such marking or naming of consignee as would amount to appropriation. Then the risk will not pass until effective appropriation has been made. Therefore, the seller needs to appropriate by issuing of separate bills of lading or delivery orders for parts of the bulk cargo. And in case the goods are bought while they are carried at sea, some problems on the passing of risk would arise. One possibility is that the buyer might have to assume risks which have already occured at the time when the contract of sale is entered into force. The other possibility would be to let the pissing of the risk concide with the time when the contract of sale is concluded. The parties are advised to ascertain the applicable law and any solution which might follow there form. Finally, Incoterms are restricted to deal with the main principles for the division of functions, costs and risks between the parties and the rest is left to their individual contract as supplemented by the custom of the trade, the individual terms of the contract of sale and the applicable law. Thus, the parties are advised to ascertain the applicable law on their individual contract of sale in order to solve the problems on the transfer of property, the remedy and so on.

The Interfacial Nature of TiO2 and ZnO Nanoparticles Modified by Gold Nanoparticles

  • The surfaces of $TiO_2$ and ZnO nanoparticles have been modified by gold (Au) nanoparticles by a reduction method in solution. Their interfacial electronic structures and optical absorptions have been studied by depth-profiling X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS) and UV-vis absorption spectroscopy, respectively. Upon Au-modification, UV-vis absorption spectra reveal a broad surface plasmon peak at around 500 nm. For the as-prepared Au-modified $TiO_2$ and ZnO, the Au $4f_{7/2}$ XPS peaks exhibit at 83.7 and 83.9 eV, respectively. These are due to a charge transfer effect from the metal oxide support to the Au. For $TiO_2$, the larger binding energy shift from that (84.0 eV) of bulk Au could indicate that Au-modification site of $TiO_2$ is different from that of ZnO. On the basis of the XPS data with sputtering depth, we conclude that cationic (1+ and 3+) Au species, plausibly $Au(OH)_x$ (x = 1-3), commonly form mainly at the Au-$TiO_2$ and Au-ZnO interfaces. With $Ar^+$ ion sputtering, the oxidation state of Ti dramatically changes from 4+ to 3+ and 2+ while that (2+) of Zn shows no discernible change based on the binding energy position and the full-width at half maximum (FWHM).

M2M 통신에서 서비스의 효과적인 처리 방안에 대한 연구 (A Study about effective handling method of service in M2M Communications)

  • 최근 국내 이동통신사들의 차세대 성장 동력으로 사물지능통신 (Machine to Machine, M2M)이 주목받고 있다. 따라서 그 쓰임새와 활용도가 각종 분야로 점점 넓어지고 있으며, 기존의 통신에 비해 사용되는 단말의 수가 점점 증가하게 되면서 사물마다 전송되는 정보들의 수도 증가하고 있다. 대량의 단말로부터 전송하는 각각의 데이터가 이동통신망을 이용하는데 있어 트래픽이 한계상황에 도달하게 된다면 M2M 통신의 서비스 처리를 원활하게 하지 못하는 상황이 발생 할 수 있다. 본 연구는 M2M 통신에서 사용하게 될 이동통신망이 한계점에 도달했을 때 M2M 서비스의 원활한 처리를 위한 방안을 제시한다. 이러한 방안은 데이터 트래픽이 한계점에 도달하게 된 이동통신망에서 우선적으로 처리해야 될 M2M 통신의 서비스 순위를 결정짓는데 사용 될 것이며, M2M 기술이 더욱 발전하게 되어 점차 소형화 되는 사물들이 많아짐에 따라, 폭증하게 될 이동통신망에서 M2M 서비스를 처리하는 것이 원활하도록 도움을 줄 것이다.
