  • In this paper shows the development of the Program(FDS2EXODUS) for Generating Hazard condition file of BuildingEXODUS code based on the FDS Fire-simulation Data. The program were applied with numerical method to translate from FDS to BuildingEXODUS. Using both single or multi block meshes of FDS get to be possible. For application of fire effect, the fire data were loaded directly to BuildingEXODUS in the case of FDS code with using this Program(FDS2EXODUS). It was very convenient to input to BuildingEXODUS and could be reduced the procedure of egress simulation from fire disaster.

  • Recently with the increasing economics, many hish-rise and complicated building with new architecture features are constructed in Korea. These higher and bigger building have many difficulties of fire safety concerns, especially evacuation plan. In this paper, aims to present logical basis for forecasting egress behavior of occupants and systematized Egress-Prediction Model by analysing expectable decisive factors among influential factors each step until completing egress from perception of fire cues.

Evacuation Simulation for the Exit with a Windbreak Door in Underground Arcade (지하상가 출입구 방풍문 설치에 따른 피난안전해석)

  • This paper presents a study on the evacuation analysis in underground arcade. In this study, the effect of the exit with a windbreak door has been investigated by using evacuation simulation program (building EXODUS). Also, the simulation has included the impact of smoke, heat and toxic gases by fire simulation program (CFAST). The results were obtained for the conditions of without and with door of the two exit with 1,088 evacuation population. As a results, for non-fire evacuation, there was only a little difference of evacuation time for both conditions. However, for fire emergency evacuation, the evacuation time for the condition with door increased more 110 seconds than for the condition without door. When the auto door not opened, the evacuation time was increased more 670 seconds than for the condition without door. Consequently, in case of fire, the automatic door should be operating by the signal of fire detector and keep open when the fire accidents. To lead the evacuees well to the escape route the luminaries for an emergency exit sign have to be reinforced to the wall and floor around the exit.

  • This study was performed to analysis the influence of smoke alarm detector on evacuation safety in housing fire. The analysis was conducted by CFAST fire simulation program and building EXODUS evacuation program. The effects of the earlier response time on evacuation safety were investigated by using evacuation simulation program with several steps of different response time and smoke alarm activation time for 4 occupants. The smoke detecter was activated 37.1 second after fire. The first two mortuary were occurred for 170 seconds of response time at the end of living room near exit. But for the 37.1 seconds of response time 4 occupants evacuated safely. From this study, the fire alarm detector is more important for safety evacuation in housing fire.

  • For life safety design of shopping mall, we selected a shopping mall, and calculated the evacuation time of means of egress. It is calculated by two kind of evacuation method. One is the computer simulation model, EXODUS. The other is Japan's method. Study way is a model structure study, selecting real shopping mall and setting scenario, calculating the evacuating time. result of study, evaluation time is very high. Therefore we confirmed that the building of means of egress is not fit to evacuation more the capacity of setting population.

  • The evacuation simulation study was performed with the boundary condition of a fire simulator, referring to Dae-gu Subway Fire Accident which was a real station fire. The subway station was modelled from B3F station building to B2F waiting room in fire simulation. Also, a fire simulation were performed with CFAST and FLUENT. In CFAST, the total 29 zones were divided into 18 station buildings in B3F and 11 station buildings in B2F. In FLUENT, the simulated space had the same establishment as zone of CFAST. The study focused on possibility for application of fire simulation in underground station by comparing the resulted values from two simulators. For application of fire effect, the fire data were loaded directly to EXODUS in the case of CFAST and performed a passenger evacuation simulation. In the case of FLUENT, Out Data values of a fire simulation were difficult to be compatible with EXODUS. Two resulted values of passenger evacuation simulation by fire simulation were compared with the Dae-gu Subway Fire Accident in reality.

A Study on the Changes of the Apartment price in Accordance with Project process of Super high-rise mixed use buildings (초고층 주상복합 건물의 개발사업 단계에 따른 주변지역 아파트가격의 변화에 관한 연구)

  • High-rising buildings are a sort of solution to recent cities. Till now real estate development was concentrated in new development on vacant lots, and it resulted urban sprawl. Generally large cities are confronted with the exodus of industry and population from city. High-rising buildings solve many problems associated with this problem. The purpose of this research is to identify the effect of super high-rise mixed use building project process on apartment price. For this study, the hypothesis is that price of apartments is influenced by project process of super high-rise mixed use building. The study concerned 4 variations of project process that is building permits stage, sale stage, construction starting stage and stage of moving into building. The target projects of buildings are selected by number of floor(over 40 floors) and construction time. And 48 apartment complex are selected around super high-rise mixed use building. This study uses hedonic price function to analysis effect of project process of super high-rise mixed use building. A price of apartments is defined as a dependent variable. Characteristics of residence, complex, district and super high-rise building are defined as independent variables. The results are as follows; first, there is no error in price model of this study. Second, it is found that apartment price was influenced negatively by building permit stage and sale stage of super high-rise mixed use building. But that was influenced positively by construction starting stage and stage of moving into building of that. Third, as the project process of super high-rise mixed use building was proceeded, price of apartments was increased.
