고층빌딩 외벽 유지관리 로봇 시스템 조사연구 (A Survey on Robot Systems for High-rise Building Wall Maintenance)

  • With recent growth of the economy and development of construction technology, the increase of high-rise buildings is appearing rapidly in urban areas. For this reason, the interest in building maintenance has also been increasing. However, it has many safety problems because it is difficult for the workers to access the exterior wall of building. Therefore, the maintenance system of high-rise building stands out as being important issues to be developed, so that a variety of robot systems have been developed to accomplish the building-wall maintenance works. In this paper, the maintenance robots are classified in painting, inspecting, cleaning systems according to the maintenance works. Then, their locomotion and adhesion mechanisms are analyzed including their applicability to the real maintenance works. This study can be used to develop maintenance robotic system that is more efficient and stable than existing ones.

  • The aim of this paper is improvement plan of mechanical field construct production system in Korea construction industry market. Recently Korea's construction production system is changing rapidly. While change, mechanical system construction field must prepare proper system for construction production system and later mechanical construction work will give order directly. Through this study the author will show the improved mechanical field construct production system and it can useful future construction industry production system in Korea.

Recently Korea's construction production system is changing rapidly.   • Increased density of racks has resulted in increased use of data center cooling energy and the needs for energy efficient cooling systems has increased. In response to these needs, ASHRAE presented a performance indicator, which is Mechanical Load Component (MLC), for the purpose of evaluating systems at the design stage. However, the MLC metrics presented in the current standard can only be determined for system compliance and compared alternative systems with the system configuration completed. Therefore, there are limitations to considering MLC from the early stages of design. In this study, to extend the scope of application of MLC in the design phase, the design factors of the main equipment comprising the cooling system are classified by the MLC load component and interrelations between design factors were identified.

  • The purpose of this code is to relate the various controllable factors to the comfort and well-being of the people using the building, so that the requirements of the system may be specified to the designers and the constructor. This study deals with the work involved in design and installation of residential mechanical ventilation. The recommendations made in this code recognize the need to optimize the use of energy, reduce hazards and minimize effects detrimental to the environment. This code was prepared by a committee convened by SAREK. The code provides broad guidance only on certain topics. The titles of standard and code referred to in this code are listed on the reference.

실내오염 저감을 위한 공동주택 환기시스템의 개선방안에 대한 연구 (The Study on the Renovation Method of Apartment House Ventilation System for Reducing Indoor Air Contamination)

  • Recently, Indoor air quality (IAQ) is one of the most important problem in our daily life of modern societies. Mechanical ventilation system is being recommended as an effective method to improve IAQ in apartment houses. And then, in Korea, building industry should install ventilation system in apartment house by the building construction code. In this study, to improve IAQ caused by microbial and chemical contaminant such as bacteria and TVOC, three types of mechanical ventilation system of apartment house including HRV were simulated by multizone modeling. Simulation results suggest an appropriate and economical renovation method of apartment house ventilation system for reducing indoor air contamination.

  • Maintenance works for current high-rise buildings significantly depend on human labor, unlike other construction processes that are gradually being automated. Herein, this paper proposes robotic building maintenance system using motion control, in specific, reducing a system jerk which is directly subjected to improve the process performance and economic feasibility. The sensor for detecting straight and curvature section of the building facade, moreover rail-joint segment can be detected and be utilized for reducing jerk of the system. Analysis of the proposed system error caused by excessive vibration, e.g. jerk motion is introduced. To enhance the stability and safety of the system, herein, the strategy is proposed for enhancing the performance of the system based on anti-jerk motion control algorithm which comes out increasing the stability and sustainability of the integrated system, as well.

솔크 생물학 연구소에 적용된 건물시스템 통합기법 분석에 관한 연구 (Analysis on the Building System Integration Methods of the Salk Institute for Biological Studies)

  • Salk Institute for Biological studies is widely considered as architectural masterpiece of Louis Kahn's. Its iconic plaza with symmetrical concrete structures, overlooking the Pacific ocean in La Jolla, has been acclaimed as a facade to the sky. Little has been written on Kahn's achievements in the building system integration in order to bridge the gap between technology and design. This paper explores the technical issues, the design intents, and the major building systems to identify the Kahn's integration methods between building systems. The project is analysed into four major systems; structure, mechanical, envelope, and interior system. The integration methods of building systems are investigated in physical, visual, and functional aspects. The most distinguished cases of building system integration are the introduction of the interstitial floors between the laboratories and the creation of the smooth and warm materiality of exposed concrete walls. Kahn proposed open floor plans for the laboratories which are capable of easily adapting to changing needs. He also introduced the interstitial floors which are framed of the vierendeel truss systems and deliberately overlapped the structure systems with the mechanical systems such as ducts, water pipes, and electric conduits. The exposed concrete walls mixed with pozzolan ashes look very much like granite or limestone as the result of the physical and visual integration between structure, envelope, and interior systems.

CFD를 이용한 박스형 건물의 풍압분포 분석에 관한 연구 (A Study of Wind Pressure Distribution for a Rectangular Building Using CFD)

  • This paper studies the wind pressure distribution over the Commonwealth Advisory Aeronautical Council building model (CAARC model) using CFD. We also considered the interaction between the CAARC model and other buildings. The Reynolds number based on the building height was 380,000. The number of sells for the simulation was about 500,000. The wind pressure was lowest when the wind direction was blowing at an angle 45 degrees of the CAARC model. When the gap between the two buildings in front of the CAARC was over 1/2 the horizontal length of the CAARC model, the wind pressure was higher than the pressure without the two buildings. When the distance between the two front buildings and the CAARC was less than 1.5 times the vertical length of the CAARC model, the wind pressure increased. Accordingly, the relative distance between two buildings or the distance from the CAARC model should be considered when extra wind exists due to other buildings.

온도, 습도 및 냉방부하 예측에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Estimation of Temperature, Humidity and Cooling Load)

  • The peak demand of electricity in summer season mainly comes from the day time cooling loads. Ice thermal Storage System (ITSS) uses off-peak electricity at night time to make ice for the day time cooling. In order to maximize the use of cold storage in ITSS, the estimation of day time cooling load for the building is necessary. In this study, we present a method of cooling load estimation using 5 years of normalized outdoor temperature, relative humidity, and the building construction data. We applied the hourly-based estimation to a general hospital building with relatively less sudden heat exchange and the results are compared with the measured cooling load of the building. The results show that the cooling loads estimation depends on the indoor cooling design temperature of the building.
