The Purpose of this study is to analyze the green design strategies in residential building, based on case study of Solar Decathlon in USA. This study could provide the basic reference data and theocratical foundation for finding new green design strategies and applicability of green design for korea. The Solar Decathlon is an green design competition that challenges collegiate teams to design, build, and operate the green residential building with optimal energy production and maximum efficiency. As a result of the analysis of this study, the green design strategy is identified and analyzed design issues related in energy, materials, and indoor/outdoor environment. Also, it is useful to find best green design strategy with more economical and environmental benefits presented by renewable energy and design solutions. This study is based on selected 18 green housings of Solar Decathlon from 2002 to 2013. This result is helpful to understand the green design strategies for green residential building's design of modern residential building, and expect future green residential building design approach.

A new concept termed the Innovative Nuclear Power Plant Building Arrangement (INBA) strategy is a new nuclear power plant building arrangement method which encompasses upfront consideration of more efficient decommissioning. Although existing decommissioning strategies such as immediate dismantling and differed dismantling has the advantage of either early site restoration or radioactive decommissioning waste reduction, the INBA strategy has the advantages of both strategies. In this research paper, the concept and the implementation method of the INBA strategy will be described. Two primary benefits will be further described: (1) early site restoration; and (2) radioactive waste reduction. Several other potential benefits will also be identified. For the estimation of economic benefit, the INBA strategy, with two primary benefits, will be compared with the immediate dismantling strategy. The effect of a short life cycle nuclear power plant in combination with the INBA strategy will be reviewed. Finally, some of the major impediments to the realization of this strategy will be discussed.

Nation-building comprises activities related to creating good, smart and courageous people, building a system that supports the nation's people to live together in an orderly way and building a context that facilitates the nation's people and the nation's system to undertake its duties to the fullest capacity, under the agreed ideology. The process of nation-building is complex and there are many components that contribute to the success of nation-building. As the world is developing towards the knowledge society in the present time, ICT is one tool that will help make the process of nation-building, easier, faster and more successful. Therefore, this article aims to analyze how ICT is important to nation-building covering all aspects of economics, politics and society and involving, people, systems and contexts of Thai society, to explain the present ICT situation in Thailand; and to recommend Thailand's innovative strategy on ICT for nation-building.

Purpose : The study applied control strategy to reduce through optimal control and operation of pump by applying control on variable speed to the circulation pump of HVAC system in the office building. The study has the purpose to review validity of control on variable speed as ESMs(Energy Saving Measures) and establish the control technology on variable speed pump. The study performed reduction analysis of building energy and economic evaluation of pump through energy effectiveness control strategy of HVAC system. Method: The study sought possible reduction through energy control strategy which can provide proper flow fitting to building load by applying control on variable speed pump. The study applied control strategy to reduce through pressure differential set-point control and operation of pump by applying control on variable speed to the circulation pump of HVAC system in the office building. Result : The results showed that about 16-35% of pump energy could be saved by using these optimal control strategies. In the result of analysis on 10 years life cycle cost of analysis on payback period of initial investment pump, variable speed pump control showed 5.1 years.

The aim of this study is to develop a strategy for building healthy schools. For this, the concept of a healthy school was defined and the need for healthy schools was identified and reviewed. This included comparative studies of foreign countries as well. This study found that the elements of a healthy school were physical, psychological, environmental, nutritional, educational, serviceable, and practical. The strategy of building this model was to connect students and teachers, school and administration, and parents and community within one circle on the basis of these elements.

고객의 중요성이 지속적으로 증대됨에 따라 조직 구조를 고객 중심 구조로 전환해야 한다는 요구가 증대되고 있다. 건설업은 제조업과는 달리 비 반복적이고 비표준화의 업무특성을 가지고 있으므로 하나의 건축물을 완성하기 위하여 다양한 자재, 인력, 기술, 장비 등을 투입하여 복합적인 업무를 수행하게 된다. 따라서 이러한 업무를 추진하는데 있어서 예기치 못했던 상황들은 쉽게 발생하기 마련이다. 본 연구의 목적은 비용 관리 및 브랜드 관리를 통하여 공동주택 상품의 고객서비스를 개선하기 위한 전략을 연구하는 것이다. 본 연구를 위해 공동주택을 중심으로 고객서비스 및 경영전략에 대한 경영학적 정의와 개념을 정리하고, 문제점 분석을 위하여 주택 입주 고객과 전문가집단을 대상으로 설문조사를 실시한다. 또한 국내 주요 건설 회사들의 외부 환경 및 내부 역량을 분석하고, 고객서비스의 시장상황을 반영하여 SWOT 분석을 실행한다. 이를 통하여 기간별 전략 추진계획을 세우며, 전략추진 경영자원을 분석하여 전략의 성과를 예측한다.

We propose a new application method of the datamining technique that might help building an efficient trade strategy in the stock market, where the analysis of the huge database is essential. The proposed method utilizes the association rules among the price changes of individual stock from the market basket analysis (a datamining technique typically used in the Marketing field) in building the strategy We also apply the proposed method to the daily stock prices in Korean stock market, from Jan. 2000 to Dec. 2001. The application results show that the proposed method gives an significantly higher yield rate than the actual stock chage rate.

Apartment Building remodeling market is now growing centering around non housing building. Unlike non housing building remodeling business, understanding of remodeling demanders accustomed to profit of reconstruction, deficiency of experience performing remodeling project and construction, shortage of will performing remodeling policy and detailed action method are difficulties in performing apartment building remodeling business. Understanding change of remodeling demanders, strong economic incentive by government, construction management paradigm shift from new construction into building life cycle, application of construction method using existing building condition before remodeling and remodeling related industry infrastructure are required to improve this remodeling business circumstances.

This work aims to develop a platform to investigate the effect of operation schedules on the building energy consumption and to derive a simulation model based optimal start and stop daily strategy. An open-source building energy simulation tool DOE2 is used for the engine, and the developed simulation model is validated using ASHRAE guideline 14. The effect of late-start/early-stop operation of HVAC system on the daily building energy consumption was analyzed using the developed simulation model. It was found that about 10% of energy consumption cut was possible using the control strategy for an hour of advance of the stop operation, and about 3% per an hour of delay of the start operation.

This research deals with the PLAN's capabilities and its implication for regional security, and suggests some measures for maritime security cooperation among regional states. China has began to focus its national strategy more on 'rising as a new maritime power' since the 18th Party Convention in November 2012. Chinese new strategy aims at building a strong navy, contributing economic prosperity and national security, and thus elevating its prestige in international society. Most of all, building a strong navy is the foremost task at this time, and that is why the PLAN has the priority for military modernization. Chinese new maritime strategy could cause naval arms race in East Asia and aggravate maritime territorial disputes among concerned parties. It is the time for regional states to discuss some measures to build confidence, such as arms control of naval weapons, establishment of multilateral maritime security mechanism, and foundation of regional security regime, thus enhancing regional maritime cooperation.
