Intelligent Emergency Alarm System based on Multimedia IoT for Smart City

  • These-days technology related to IoT (Internet of Thing) is widely used and there are many types of smart system based IoT like smart health, smart building and so on. In smart health system, it is possible to check someone's health by analyzing data from wearable IoT device like smart watch. Smart building system aims to collect data from sensor such as humidity, temperature, human counter like that and control the building for energy efficiency, security, safety and so forth. Furthermore, smart city system can comprise several smart systems like smart building, smart health, smart mobility, smart energy and etc. In this paper, we propose multimedia IoT based intelligent emergency alarm system for smart city. In existing IoT based smart system, it communicates lightweight data like text data. In the past, due to network's limitations lightweight IoT protocol was proposed for communicating data between things but now network technology develops, problem which is to communicate heavy data is solving. The proposed system obtains video from IP cameras/CCTVs, analyses the video by exploiting AI algorithm for detecting emergencies and prevents them which cause damage or death. If emergency is detected, the proposed system sends warning message that emergency may occur to people or agencies. We built prototype of the intelligent emergency alarm system based on MQTT and assured that the system detected dangerous situation and sent alarm messages. From the test results, it is expected that the system can prevent damages of people, nature and save human life from emergency.

A Fluid Analysis to develop the Damper for Tsunami Prevention in Nuclear Power Plant (원자력 발전소에서 쓰나미 방지용 댐퍼 개발을 위한 유동해석)

  • The purpose of this study is to develop a damper that protects against the dangers of tidal waves since there's no function to block the inflow of large amounts of water into the inside When natural disasters such as tidal waves occur. Therefore, it intended to derive the design data by simulating through flow analysis in order to predict the pressure that a damper configured to open and close manually or automatically receives. It examined the preceding researches first and conducted the flow analysis, to predict the force of the damper installed on the bottom of the building's outside to prevent the inflow of seawater into the inside when natural disaster occurring. As a result, it showed that, in the event of a tsunami, it moved about 170m and the time impacting the damper occurred within about eight seconds, and, at the moment, the damper door was pressured about 17bar. Also, it could identify that the load was approximately 900kN and the force by the fluid was applied to the damper door.

  • Using 3D based BIM(Building Information Modeling) enables a variety of construction simulations. The is no case to simulate BIM demonstration experiment on deeply immersed virtual reality environment in korea. This paper develops a multi screen based simulation system to enable 3D based immersed environment to diverse decision making and virtual construction simulation. In a developed simulation laboratory, we can carry out BIM drawing review, disaster evacuation simulation, constructability review on wild land and design urban planning using haptic device on 3-side space with 4K resolution . Also, It can review large amount of drawings without data conversion because of compatibility with BIM software.

  • With the change and development of modem architecture, architectural configurations are increasingly diversified and irregular. However, the building configurations without proper seismic considerations may cause severe damages under earthquake loads. Therefore, it is necessary to establish and implement more properly classified, specific and advanced conceptual seismic design strategies. This study explores the relationship between building configurations and seismic performance by adopting several horizontal building configurations with various re-entrant corners. For the clear comparison of five different horizontal configuration models, almost aspects of structural properties are equalized. The equivalent static analyses are conducted with the aim of understanding the characteristics of various re-entrant comers under standard earthquake loads. The seismic advantages of regular configuration model are clearly approved and the structural weak points at the re-entrant comers are investigated numerically and graphically.

The Development of an Agent-Based Model for Simulating Self-Controlled Team Building Behavior (에이전트 기반 자율적 팀 결성 행동 시뮬레이션 모형의 개발)

  • It is necessary for an instructor to understand the student's team building behavior for an effective guidance of team activities. In this study, we developed an agent-based computational model for simulating the student's self-controlled behavior. We validated the model by comparing the actual behavior. Through the simulation, we found that the time to stabilization of team formation and the ratio of the students having no team are decreasing as the population of the student increases. However, we also found that over a certain amount of population, the time and the ratio do not show much progress in the difference. The simulation also shows that the more heterogeneity between the students the higher chance of delaying the team formation and increasing the ratio. We expect to use the model as a tool for guiding and supporting students' team activities.

  • The damage detection method using the extended Kalman filter(EKF) technique has been continuously used since EKF can estimation the responses of the damaged building structure and the stiffness of the structure. However, in the use of EKF, the requirement of setting the initial paramters P, Q, and R has caused the divergence and instability of the state vector, and various researches have been conducted to determine theses parameters. In this paper, adaptive extended Kalman filter(AEKF) method is proposed to solve the problem of setting the values of P, Q, and R, which are important parameters determining the convergence performance of the EKF state vector. By using the AEKF method proposed in this study, the P, Q, and R parameters are updated every k steps. The proposed algorithm is applied for the estimation of stiffness and the damage detection of 3-DOF problem. Based of the verification, it can be found that the selection process for the values of P, Q, and R can improve the convergence performance of EKF.

  • The purpose of this study is to derive the design characteristics of the pattern, which can effectively support the building facade design and to analyze the correlation of their characteristics. This paper deals with five different design patterns suggested by Ben Pell. They are the applied pattern, perforated pattern, layered pattern, casting pattern, and tiled pattern. This paper analyzes the design characteristics of the applied pattern, which shows the highest point in the previous survey. The 'continuous' has a high emotional correlation. The high correlation with the emotional word 'continuous' and 'regular' was derived. The final emotional design characteristic is 'continuous-discontinuous', and 'irregular-regular'. and these emotional words can be summarized as the relatively highest correlation. In this paper, it is worth analyzing design characteristics of building facade by a support of digital technology and discussing utilization of design characteristics derived.

A Study on Efficient BACnet/SC to ensure Data Reliability in Wireless Environments (무선 환경에서 데이터의 신뢰성을 보장하는 효율적인 BACnet/SC 개선 방안 연구)

  • Recently, smart buildings that can efficiently manage energy using ICT technology and operate and control through the building automation system by collecting data from a large number of IoT sensors in real time are attracting attention. However, as data management is carried out through an open environment, the safety of smart buildings is threatened by the security vulnerability of the existing building automation protocol. Therefore, in this paper, we analyze the major data link technology of BACnet, which is used universally, and propose OWE-based efficient BACnet/SC that can ensure the reliability of data in a wireless environment. The proposed protocol enables safe communication even in an open network by applying OWE and provides the same level of security as BACnet/SC in a TLS environment. As a result, it reduces the connection process twice and reduces the average time required by 40%, enabling more efficient communication than before.

  • Augmented reality makes people feel realistic and reduces the damage to cultural properties that can come into contact with the actual cultural heritage. Augmented reality has the advantage that it can show the past appearance of the historical building or relics, the environment, or related information in addition to the current real environment. Despite these values ​and advantages, As a result of researches and analyzes of the Augmented Reality contents of the National Museum, 'palace in my hand', and the Miruksa project In the field of domestic cultural heritage warriors, augmented reality technology has shown a very negative attitude such as simply showing cultural heritage content or using it as a guide. However, various conditions such as display and sensor hardware and technology needed to realize augmented reality more effectively are improving day by day. And If you have various facilities such as the idea of ​adding storytelling to the exhibits and WiFi building, In the near future, it will be equipped with a display system of cultural heritage contents that combines augmented reality with a more complete one.

Oil Leakage Characteristics of Asphalt Mastic Waterproofing Membrane Coating According to Particle Size and Content of Organic/Mineral Extender (유·무기질 체질안료 입도 및 함량에 따른 아스팔트 매스틱 도막방수재의 누유 특성)

  • In this study, the purpose of this study was to quantitatively grasp the specific correlation between the raw material and the occurrence of leakage by analyzing the characteristics of leakage by adjusting the type and content of the raw material constituting the asphalt mastic coating waterproofing material. To this end, two raw materials, CA (calcium carbonate) and ASE (anti-sedimentation), which are organic and mineral extender for asphalt mastic waterproofing membrane coating, were selected. viscosity and oil leakage stability (20 ℃, 40 ℃) was evaluated. As a result of the evaluation, the oil leakage stability and viscosity were inversely proportional to the CA average particle size, and it was quantitatively proven that a correlation in proportion to the ASE content was established. The results of this study are expected to be used as core data for basic mixing design in the future mixing studies to improve leakage of asphalt mastic waterproofing membrane coating.
