Some problems are presented that Korean restaurants in jeonju area don't keep ancient fame, taste and tradition. Therefore, this thesis intends to positively analyse the evaluation of Korean restaurants' menu quality to activate Han brand, centering on Jeonju area. The findings of the study are as follows: First, this thesis named the items of analysis menu quality factor, menu quality evaluation factor, Han brand activating factor. Second, it analysed confirmative factor of menu quality evaluation and found that conformity was $x^2=67.143$, df=14, GFI=0.968, AGFI=0.917, RMR=0.056, NFI=0.902, CFI=0.962. It means that the measure of item variables was selected appropriately. Third, it constructed a menu quality evaluation model of Korean restaurants in Jeonju area and verified hypotheses, such as menu quality factors and their influences on menu quality evaluation, menu quality evaluation factors and their influences on activating of Han brand, and menu quality factors and their influences on activating Han brand. It verified the relations, and, as a result, found them to be positive(+) and selected all of the hypotheses.
This study analyzes the locution of television home shopping show hosts for apparel products with a focus on the selling points and vocabulary use. A qualitative content analysis was conducted for 15 recorded home shopping shows selling women's overcoats and jackets. The results are as follows. First, 8 dimensions of selling points were revealed: Promotions, brand popularities, the experiences of shopping hosts, fashion trend information, conformity motivation and suggestion, intangible attributes, tangible attributes, and compared/leading differences. The most frequent selling point was tangible attributes. Following this were, promotions, conformity motivation and suggestion, compared/leading differences, intangible attributes, brand popularity, the experiences of the shopping hosts, and fashion trend information in order. The selling points were almost proper to decrease the perceived risks of home shopping consumers. Second, shopping hosts frequently used the clothing terms without any expatiations and used loan words (foreign language terms) instead of the direct Korean translations. In the conclusion, the development of a marketing strategy focusing on shopping host management is suggested.
본 논문은 20-30대 소비자들이 사회적 가치가 높은 명품, 매스티지 브랜드와 복제품에 대해 어떤 태도를 가지고 구분하는지, 과시소비성향과 동조성으로 설명할 수 있을지를 탐색하였다. 브랜드들에 대한 태도와 구매의도의 유사성을 기준으로 20-30대 소비자를 구분하고, 집단별로 동조성과 과시소비 성향의 하위차원에서의 차이를 연구하였다. 군집분석을 통해 20-30대 소비자는 네 집단으로 구분되었고, 다변량분산분석을 실시하여 각 집단 간의 차이를 확인하였다. 개성추구성향(F=4.282, p=.006)과 브랜드지향성향(F=23.178, p=.000)은 명품과 매스티지 브랜드와 연관이 있었고, 유행추구성향(F=8.376, p=.000)은 명품과 매스티지 브랜드를 매우 좋아하는 집단과 복제품에도 관심이 있는 집단에서 높게 나타났다. 고가격추구성향은 유의한 차이가 없었다. 동조성(F=3.537, p=.015)은 명품과 매스티지에 대해 약간 좋아하지만 복제품은 싫어하는 집단만 제외하면 모두 높았다. 본 연구는 상징적 의미가 큰 브랜드들에 대한 20-30대 소비자의 태도와 구매의도를 통합적으로 고찰한 연구로서 향후 소비자의 브랜드 범주화에 대한 연구로 발전시키기 위한 탐색적 연구로 의미가 있다.
The purposes of this study were: 1) to develop specific AIO variables(clothing variables) based on clothing behavior studies, 2) to segment apparel market by clothing variables, 3) to discribe the profile of each segment with clothing variables, lifestyle variables and demographic variables, 4) to Suggest effective strategies on apparel market of women's clothing. The Likert Type clothing questionnaires measured 6 aspects of clothing (fashion, conformity-individuality, practicality, aesthetics, modesty and brand consciousness & status symbols) dealing with activities, interests and opinions. In addition, lifestyle variables were measured with general AIO statements. The questionnaires were administered to 563 young women (students, career women and homemakers) living in Seoul. The data were analysed by factor analysis, ctustering analysis, multiple discriminant analysis, one-way ANOVA ana Duncan's multiple range test. The results of the study were as follow: 1) 4 factors emerged from factor analysis of clothing variables. Factor 1: lower interest in modesty and higher interest in aesthics, Factor 2: brand consciousness and status symbols, Factor 3: conformity, Factor4 : fashion. 2) Lifestyle variables clustered into 3 factors. Factor 1: positive social activity, Factor 2: family-oriented type, Factor S: materialism. 3) By cluster analysis of the 4 factors of the clothing variables, the apparel market of women's clothing was categorised into 3 segments (innovative aesthetics seeker group, brand and status symbols conscious group, clothing unconscious group). 4) The above three segmented groups were also significantly discriminated by lifestyle and demosraphic variables. 5) On the basis of the findings, effective marketing strategies of women's clothing were suggested.
This study tests the validity of the Susceptibility of Global Consumer Culture (SGCC) Scale that is composed of three dimensions, conformity to consumption trend, quality perception, and social prestige, on Korean consumers. The study also identifies the relationships with consumer susceptibility to interpersonal influence and attitude toward purchasing global fashion brands. Utilizing the convenience sampling method, college students aged over 20 living in the Seoul metropolitan area were selected. Three hundred questionnaires were used in the statistical analysis, exploratory and confirmatory factor analysis, paired t test, and path analysis using structural equation modeling. Confirmatory factor analysis revealed that the SGCC scale measured by three dimensions fit well for young Korean consumers. Path analysis showed that identical conformity positively influences all three dimensions of the SGCC scale and that informational conformity positively influences purchasing intention toward global fashion brands. Among the three dimensions of SGCC, quality perception and social prestige positively influence purchasing intention toward global fashion brands.
The purpose of this study was to analyze the general wearing attitude & brand Image Perception for Golf Wear in wearer's mind, and to investigate the brand preference on the image characteristics of golf wear, and to find out the wearer's purchasing point for golf wear, for developing the possibility and strategy of the golf wear market for the apparel marketers and manufacturers. For this study, the data obtained from 210 respondents were analyzed by the descriptive statistics, Pearson's simple correlation, Crossing Analysis, parato graph. The results from the study were as follow : The respondents who were specially wearing for golf game were 23.3%(49 persons) among the 210 respondents. The 210 respondents evaluated highly the features of golf wear, such as design(51%), quality(44.3%), materials(36.2%), color(35.2%), size(21.0%), as the purchasing point for golf shirts, otherwise, the 210 respondents evaluated lowly the social aspects of golf wear, such as, fashion conformity, brand loyalty and promotion. And the most important material features for the golf wear was the elasticity, speed dryness by the 210 respondents The most frequent brand by 207 respondents described in the free style was Daks(11.1%) and Ping(11.1%). The 205 respondents described in the free style evaluated Daks(14.6%) as the most preference brand. The reason for the most preference brand was based with the comfort and pleasure of design, quality, color, size, materials.
Since personality lead to relatively consistent responses to one's own environment, consumers' distinct personality influences their buying behavior. In order to understand the relationship between consumer's personal characteristics and purchase behavior, the study investigated the effect of consumers' personality trait on the clothing selection criteria and preferred clothing image. Survey was utilized to collect the data and subjects were 333 high school students. Measures consisted of three main constructs: Consumer's extroversion and openness based on the Big-Five personality trait, clothing selection criteria, and preferred clothing image. The data were analyzed using PRELIS 2, LISREL 8.8, and SAS 9.2. The subjects was classified into three groups; Group 1 was a group of intermediate-level in openness and extroversion while Group 2 was a group of high-level in both personality traits. Group 3 was a group of high-level in openness but of low-level in extroversion. Clothing selection criteria were confirmed to have five constructs: other-directed, aesthetic, fashion & conformity-oriented, brand-oriented, and practical. In the buying situation, Group 1 prioritized fashion & conformity-oriented and brand-oriented criteria but regarded other-directed and aesthetic as less important than other groups did. Group 2 considered that all of the clothing selection criteria were important except practical. "The were six factors in the clothing image: elegance, simple, ethnic, masculine, active, and modem. The result showed a significant difference between groups in preferred clothing images. Group 2 liked most of the clothing images but group 3 did not. Group 3 preferred simple clothing image more than masculine or ethnic ones. Overall, the study concluded that the openness and extroversion of Big-Five personality traits could serve as a predictor of clothing selection criteria and preferred clothing image.
The purpose of this study was to identify Chinese university women's appearance management characteristics and clothing purchasing behavior. A self-administered questionnaire was used. Research period was 15th - 30th March. Frequencies, percent, factor analysis, cluster analysis, ANOVA, chi-square test were done. The results of study were: 1. The factors of appearance management characteristics were food management, skin care, weight control & tooth correction, nail & hair care, and use of identity kits. The factors of clothing selection criteria were outlook & appropriateness, management & service, fashion & brand, and individuality & price, and factors of information resources were marketer oriented & neutral and consumer oriented & store. 2. Chinese university women were segmented into positive appearance management group, food & skin management group, nail care & identity kits using group, and appearance management stagnated group. Positive appearance management group selected their clothing to pursuit individuality & relaxation, fashion, and conformity, considered fashion or brands more, used various information sources. Food & skin management group purchased their clothing for conformity. Nail care & identity kits using group considered management & service of clothing more, utilized consumer oriented & store information more. 3. Positive appearance management group were younger, and spent more pocket money and for their appearances. Food & skin management group were older, but nail care & identity kits using group were older. Appearance stagnated group spent less pocket money and appearance management.
The purpose of this study was to compare clothing attitude and clothing purchase behavior of two age groups of adult men,- college students and middle aged. Four aspects of clothing attitude (fashion interest, status symbol, conformity, practicality/comfort) were assessed with 20 Likert type questionnaires adapted from the previous researches. Four aspects of purchase behavior(information sources used, store patronage, importance of store attributes, clothing selection creteria for occasions) were measured with forced choice questionnaire developed or adapted from previous researches. The questionnaire were administrated to 512 male college students and middle aged men. The data were analysed using frequency, percentage, and t-test. The major findings drawn from this study were as follows : 1. Clothing comfort among four aspects of clothing attitude according to the age group was that middle-aged men showed higher conformity than college students. 2. For the information source for apparel purchase, college students used consumer dominated information source while middle-aged men used market dominated information source. 3. For apparel purchase, students preferred brand franchise store, and factory outlet/off-price store, while middle-aged preferred department store and custom-made. Among six store attributes, convenience and price were the most important attributes to the students, while convenience and high quality to the middle aged. 4. The most important clothing selection creteria for formal occasion (job interview, wedding ceremony) was dignity. Comfort/practicality were important creteria for both of leisure occasion and daily attendance (office, school).
The purpose of this study was to identify features of masstiege high-end products by comparing to original old high-end products. For this purpose, the differences in values between each consumer groups divided by preferred products types (high-end products, original old high-end products) were examined. This study was executed by consumer survey and 279 female data were used in analysis. The results are as follows. First, the value factors pursued on high-end products were constructed by factor analysis and the factors consisted of 4 elements; conspicuous, aesthetic, durable, conformity. Next, the differences in value elements between masstiege high-end products and original old high-end products were identified by t-test. The consumers preferring original old high-end products pursued conspicuous features significantly more and the consumers preferring masstiege high-end products considered aspects of aesthetic and conformity elements as more important. And according to kinds of preferring high-end product, demographic characteristics were different. The consumers who were of high age, high education and high income and married consumers preferred original old high-end products, whereas the consumers who were of low age, low education and low income and unmarried consumers preferred masstiege high-end products. Finally, marketing strategies for masstiege brand were suggested on the base of the results.
