The research conducted a survey using convenience sampling for adult women (from 20 years to 60 years) who purchased cosmetic items within 6 months. A total of 463 samples were used for the final analysis. Data analysis consisted of descriptive statistics, Cronbach's alpha, a confirmatory factor analysis, and a structural equation modeling analysis. Customer cosmetic consumption need had six factors: exhibition need, safety need, need to look younger and to pursue beauty, need to go along with others, eco-friendly need, and pleasure need. The buying motive had four factors: others-oriented motive, motive to keep skin healthy, economic motive, and motive to change products. The causality model showed that customer consumption need influenced buying motive, brand satisfaction, brand attachment, and brand loyalty. There were also significant effects on buying motive for brand satisfaction, brand attachment, and brand loyalty. In addition, there were indirect effects on the relationship between customer consumption need and brand loyalty. The pursuit for pleasure had a significant indirect effect on brand loyalty.

  • This research investigates the effect of brand-self identification on brand attachment and brand commitment focusing on luxury brand. Another purpose of this study is to examine how the relationships among brand identification, brand attachment and brand committment are moderated by consumers' regulatory focus. Structural Equation Modeling using 214 questionnaires was conducted to test hypothesized model. The results reveal that perceived luxury brand personality including excitement, competence, and sophistication influences brand-self identification positively, which in turn has a signifiant positive effect on the brand attachment. It is also found that consumers' emotional attachment to luxury brands has a positive influence on the luxury brand commitment while the effect of the brand-self identification on the brand commitment is not signifiant. This finding strongly supports that brand attachment and brand commitment are distinct construct, which confirms the results of the previous studies. In addition, the results show that consumers-luxury brands relationships are moderated by consumers' regulatory focus. This finding explains that prevention-focused individuals who have interdependent self-view respond to the loss caused by relationship break more sensitively compared to the promotion-focused consumers. Finally, based on the findings of this study, theoretical contribution and managerial implications are discussed.

  • This study examined the effects of brand attachment on internal modification behavior and usability expanding behavior of product. It has been found that the attribute alignable difference of product plays a moderating effect in internal modification behavior and usability expanding behavior. As a result of the study, the more brand attachment is high, the more behavior of product internal modification behavior and usability expanding behavior of product are high. In addition, consumers with high brand attachment showed greater internal modification behavior of the product when the difference of attribute alignability was high. Also, consumers with high brand attachment showed greater usability expanding behavior of the product when the difference of attribute non-alignability was high. Companies can improve brand attachment and retain loyal customers by increasing the difference of attribute alignability in consumer's product internal modification behavior. In terms of consumer's behavior of expanding product usage, we can strengthen brand attachment and can be used as a differentiated competitive advantage of products through the attribute nonalignable difference.

Despite growing interest in these influencers, there remains a dearth of empirical research examining the impact of their characteristics on consumer attachment and brand loyalty. This study, therefore, investigates the relationships between social platform influencer characteristics, consumer attachment, and brand loyalty. An online survey targeting Chinese consumers was conducted, and a total of 360 responses were analyzed using SPSS and AMOS software. • With science and technology getting more and more advanced, the scope of digital product is expanding and the new products continuously are introduced on the market. On the basis of consumers' attachment to products, we investigated the consumers' behaviors towards the product when a digital product is extended. As a result of an empirical analysis, it turned out that a consumer tended to have higher trust and a positive emotion about relevant goods if he or she had a strong attachment to digital products. However, even though one had a strong attachment to digital products, the emotion about the corresponding brands did not necessarily appeared to be positive. In the event that a brand of digital products was extended to other new products, only the trust in the brand exerted significant influence on the consumers' behaviors towards the extended products. Finally, this study suggests some theoretical and managerial implications for effective strategies in response to customers' attachment to digital product.

Brand attachment, brand name, and image congruence play important role on consumer behavior in terms of reinforcing consumers' perception of food service companies and differentiating them from competing brands. Following the planned behavior theory, this paper examines the effect of linking brand attitude to word-of-mouth and revisit intentions in the restaurant sector. Research design, data, and methodology: This paper examines the structural relationship among brand attachment, brand name, image congruence, brand attitude, WOM, and revisit intention. In order to test the purposes of this study, research model and hypotheses were developed. The questionnaire items were modified and used according to the content of this study based on previous studies. All constructs were measured by multiple items tested and developed in the previous research. The study is based on the quantitative method and considered 519 questionnaires fulfilled by customers of restaurants. The data were explored employing the partial least square-structural equation modelling (PLS-SEM). Frequency analysis was conducted to identify the general characteristics of the survey subjects. To measure the reliability and validity of the measurement tools, confirmatory factor analysis was conducted. Structural model analysis was conducted to verify the research model. Result: The findings demonstrate that brand attachment and brand name had positive effects on attitude while image congruence did not have. Also, attitude had positive effect on WOM and revisit intention. Conclusions: This study expands the literature about WOM and revisit intentions.
