  • There were many books on infectious disease prevention act, and still remained 5 books including Ganuibyeokonbang. Epidemics were seriously ill and widely contagious, so it was important to prevent them. Therefore, they wrote various preventive measures from epidemics on those books. They emphasized medication, and used not only compound prescriptions but also singular ones. They wrote 5 compound prescriptions including Sohaphyangwon and many singular ones on Ganuibyeokonbang, and they used folk medicine such as red-beans준 for practical use on that book. On Sinchanbyeokonbang, they emphasized Hyangsosan and presented many prescriptions to specialize in epidemics. Heojun presented various prescriptions for Dangdokyeok on Byeokyeoksinbang, and he excluded incantation methods to cope with epidemics medically. Since Ganuibyeokonbang they had tried to improve personal hygiene such as boiling clothes of patients.

  • In this article, we associate a contact structure to the conjugacy class of a periodic surface homeomorphism, encoded by a combinatorial tuple of integers called a marked data set. In particular, we prove that infinite families of these data sets give rise to Stein fillable contact structures with associated monodromies that do not factor into products to positive Dehn twists. In addition to the above, we give explicit constructions of symplectic fillings for rational open books analogous to Mori's construction for honest open books. We also prove a sufficient condition for the Stein fillability of rational open books analogous to the positivity of monodromy for honest open books due to Giroux and Loi-Piergallini.

  • The purpose of this study is to explore ways to get children in the information age of today to develop good reading habits and make reading a central part of their lives from an early age. The results of the study are as follows : 1. First of all, it is important for children to gain the habit of reading books from their early childhood during activities such as eating food, sleeping, studying, playing, going errands and watching TV etc. 2. The habituation of reading is formed by repeating and reenforcing the habit once it is acquired. Then we will do it easily, unconsciously and automatically. 3. Habituation is formed by the course of formalizing, training, reenforcing, and motivating like other daily activities. 4. The prerequisites of habituation for reading are the early integration of reading books, putting reading books at the core of curriculum, developing an interest in reading, motivating to read books, giving good rewards for reading, and simply encouraging reading. 5. Lastly, other ways to form good reading habits are inducing interests in books and reading books, and reading in the course of learning.

  • The purpose of this study is to identify the effects of school library personnel on students' reading behaviors and to identify differences between schools on it. For this purpose, this study surveyed 5,349 elementary, middle and high school students from 154 schools across Korea, and conducted a survey on reading environment, school library, and DLS. The results of the analysis showed that the students at the school where teacher librarians works are more likely to read books, participate in various reading programs, receive more help from teacher librarians in selecting books to read, lending more books, have more experience with DLS and satisfaction with it. The differences between the schools were in the order of 'classes which school library personnel took part in,' 'number of borrowed books,' 'help in selecting books,' 'average reading time per day,' 'number of home books,' 'reading in school library.' Therefore, it is necessary to expand the placement of school library personnel and develop their professionalism in order to prevent inequality in the educational environment between schools.

  • This study analyzed the difference between the two situations to verify the effectiveness of the book selection by the subject professionals in a academic library. In this, some circulation statistics before and after introduction to subject specialists were compared. Moreover, by using Minitab and t-test, ANOVA among other statistical techniques, 186,435 books selected 3 years before September 2005 and after 3 years and 622,213 circulation statistics about those books in 'S' University Library were compared and analysed. The results were as follows: (1) After introduction to the subject librarian, the proportion of books selected by librarians were increased. (2) After introduction to subject reference librarian, the foreign books selected by the faculty and the librarians were statistically significantly increased. (3) By academic field, the academic fields of the books selected by the faculty were significantly increased, but the academic fields of the books selected by the students were significantly decreased.

  • This study aims to analyze the current status of e-book management and services in academic libraries and identify related issues in the provision of the services. To do that, it performed case studies with A and B university libraries. E-book usage statistics was collected from each library and interviews were conducted with librarians responsible for e-book management and services. The interviews included questions regarding obstacles to e-book management and services and current issues as well as budget and acquisition, access and catalogues, usage, and marketing for e-books. The results show that in both libraries, the usage of e-books is low compared with that of printed books and the usage of e-books has declined recently. This is because of lack of new books with shortage of budget. Also, the most important issue surrounding e-book services is academic library evaluation, enacted by Academic Library Promotion Act in 2015. This study discussed how the criteria for academic library evaluation influence the way the academic libraries acquire and manage e-books.

  • RFID ( Radio Frequency IDentification ) is an automatic realization technology that recognizes things or a person with data stored tag, card, label, etc that have microchip by using radio frequency. Automation and efficient data base management(DBM) of system are possible by replaces using Bar-code that is used widely with using RFID. In this paper, we designed RFID tag data format that used to recognize information of books in Library and implemented library management system. Library management system is divided checking collection of books, self-loaning books system, self-returning books system, management books information system for a librarian. RFID leader realized information of tag and transfer it to host computer through RS-232 interface. Host computer processes and operates information with middleware. System that we made is depending on executive system for a librarian.

  • The Purpose of the study was to research the effectiveness of book selection each by faculty, librarians and students. For this purpose, the study performed a case study on K Academic Library to compare the circulation rate of the books selected by each group. According to the book selection and circulation records of 7,717 titles (16,809 volumes) during the last 3 years. it was shown that about 76% of the books were selected by librarians. With regard to the rate of books with more than 1time circulation record, books selected by librarians showed the highest with about 85%. With regard to the circulation rate of books with circulation record, books selected by students showed the highest.

  • The purpose of this study is to see if reading guidances using the happy point books are effective. In this study, reading guidances were carried out to the 6th grade students of J Elementary School who have Enneagram Personality type 2. Books were selected as a source of reading guidance. These are self-growth theme books preferred by Enneagram Personality Type 4 students, a happy point of Enneagram Personality Type 2 students and books containing psychological functions of Enneagram Personality Type 4 students. A reading guidance was conducted in 14 sessions over a period of 5 weeks. Pre and post test using a measurement tool was implemented to measure the effectiveness of reading guidance in terms of emotional intelligence and self-esteem. And, written observation record cards and learning logs of the attendants were also made. As a result, the emotional intelligence and self-esteem of attendants appeared to be improved, and they are satisfied with reading guidance of applying to happy point books.
