Hyang-Yack-Ku-Keup-Bang(鄕藥救急方) is our own, medical work written about the middle of the time of Korea Dynasty. I restored and researched this book because it needed to be illuminated about its medico-historic value and then I came to some conclusions as follows. 1. Hyang-Yack-Ku-Keup-Bang was published in Dae-jang-do-kam(大藏都監) of Kanghaw island(江華島) about the middle of Korea Dynasty. Choi Ja-ha(崔自河) republished it on original publication ground in Euiheung(義興) of Kyungsang-Province(慶尙道) in July, Taejong's(太宗) 17th year of Chosen Dynasty (A.D.1417) and this book was published again in Chungcheng Province(忠淸道) in Sejong's(世宗) 9th year(A.D.1427). The book published in Taejong's days was in the possession of books department of Kung-nae-cheng(宮內廳) in Japan and was the oldest medical book of existing ones. 2. Bang-Jung-Hyang-Yack-Mock-Cho-Bu(方中鄕藥目草部) of this book was originally intended to be adjusted in each division with the title of Bang-Jung-Hyang-Yack-Mock(方中鄕藥目). But Herb part(草部) only followed editing progress of Jeung-Lew-Bon-Cho(證類本草), the rest is not divided into each part and is together arranged at the below of Herb part with the title of Bang-Jung-Hyang-Yack-Mock-Cho-Bu. The Korean inscriptions on some drugstuffs in this book are different between Native Name(鄕名) of three volumes of provisions and general-spoken(俗云) of Bang-Jung-Hyang-Yack-Mock-Cho-Bu. In this, it is estimated that the publishing time and editor of tile volume of provisions and Bang-Jung-Hyang-Yack-Mock-Cho-Bu are different. I think Choi Ja-ha compiled this behind three volumes of provisions when he published. 3. This book picked some prescriptions which consisted of obtainable drugs with ease in Korea in the books of Chell-Keum-Yo-Bang(千金要方), Oi-Dae-Bi-Yo(外臺秘要), Tae-Peong-Sung-Hye-Bang(太平聖惠方), Ju-Hu-Bang(?後方), Kyung-Hum-Yang- Bang(經驗良方) Bo-Je-Bon-Sa-Bang(普濟本事方) Bi-Ye-Baik-Yo-Bang(備預百要方) and so on and got together our own prescriptions. On the whole Bi-Ye-Baik-Yo-Bang was a chief referrence book, On this, other books referred to and corrected. 4. In provisions quoted from Hyang-Yack-Jip-Sung-Bang(鄕藥集成方), there are seven provisions; leg-paralysis part, coughing part, headache part, obstetrics part, etc. don't show in this book. This is why Choi Ja-ha published only certain texts on Dae-jang-do-kam edition his own posession. So we can think the existing edition has a little misses compared with original edition. 5. This book recorded only names of drugstuffs in animal drug department like fowls, crab, goldbug, earthworm, etc. and didn't tell us ways of taking those. This is effect of Buddhist culture on medicine. This is efforts to practice 'Don't murder';one of Five Prohibition of Buddhism. 6. Beacause this book was published at the time, when our originative medicine would be set forth. This followed the Chinese ways in Theory, Treatment, Prescription and used 'Hyang Yack' in Medication out of theory of Korean medicine, which was a transitional form. So this is all important material which tell us aspects of development of 'Hyang Yack' the middle of Korea Dynasty.and this is also the beginning of originative, medical works like Dong-Eui-Bo-Kam(東醫寶鑑), Dong-Eui-Su-Bo-Won(東醫壽世保元). 7. There are few contents based on 'Byen-Jeung-Lon-Chi(辨證論治)'in this book. So we can see this book is not for doctors who study medical thoughts but for general public who suffer from diseases resulted from war. Because this book was written for a first-aid treatmeant, this is an index of medical service for the people those days. And this is also an useful datum for first-aid medicine or military medicine in these modern days. 8. Nowadays, parts of learned world of Korean medicine disregard essential theories and want to explain Korean medicine only by the theories or the methods of Western medicine. Moreover they don't adopt Chinese and Japanese theorys & thoughts about Oriental medicine in our own style and just view in there level. What was worse, there is a growing tendency for them to indulge in a trimming policy of scholarship and to take others' ideas. I think these trends to ignore our own medical thoughts involving growth of 'Hyang Yack' in the middle of Korea Dynasty, Dong-Eui-Bo-Kam and Dong-Eui-Su-Se-Bo-Won. So we, as researchers of Korean medicine, must get out of this tendency, and take over brilliant tradition and try to develop originative Korean medicine.

However, when we take a look at domestic condition we come to know that Korean juvenile publishing has been occupied mostly by the studying book. Also, the cautious book selection by the well educated parents in l990's has brought up the change of juvenile publishing world. Such a presen t condition bears of juvenlie publi.,;hing world. Such a present condition bears problem, which is the checking 190 translat.ions among the published picture- books of the last ye ar children's book Nevertheless, there was a sucessful domestic planned creative picture book last year. That is "Puppy s shit", which was sold out 15 000 copies and be st se ller of children's book. Whe n we take a look at the commercial success of "Puppy s shit", it is possible that domestic work holds a position in the publishing market. "Puppy s shit" is the story about valuable nature with Korean styled illustration, which tells the prefemece of Korean book in do mestic pu blis hin f.i market. This study analyzed the main bodies, sizes of litters, spaces between letters, Words, lines, length of lines, sizes of main body and margin, Position of the main bodies of PDF(Portable Document Format) in high schools and "the criteria of reading system for the textbooks" which was suggested by the Department of Education and Provided some suggestions for the improvement. First, it is judged that spaces of the main body of textbooks should be shrunken to make the ratio of 50:50 between the main body and space margin. Second, it is judged that the main body should be placed in the center of text page. Third, the results of the above findings showed that it would be difficult to deal with the task of deciding space and position or the main body and marginal space in a form of single project, because there are many variables involved and psychologically complicated elements which can not be measured objectively.

The purpose of this study is to form a different evaluation method of academic libraries in Korea. In order to this product life cycle and product portfolio matrix have been used. While they are based upon products and services, their general concept is useful for library managers as they help to distinguish which books have potential for growth. Writer tried to transform them into book life cycle and book portfolio matrix as a tool for assessing the quality of stock on the library shelves. With this method, writer a n.0, ppraised practically the Sociology Collection of Pusan National University Library by the state of usage and classified them into four groups that were development books, growth books, maturity books, and declining books.

This paper describes qualities of a library classification system that are commonly discussed in the LIS tradition and literature, and explains such a system’s three main functions, namely knowledge mapping, information retrieval, and shelf arrangement. In this vein, the paper states the functional requirements of bibliographic classifications, which broadly are subject collocation and facilitation of browsing the collection. It explains with details the components of a library classification system and their functions. The major components are schedules, notations, and index. It also states their distinguished features, such as generalia class, form divisions, book numbers, and devices for number synthesis which are not required in a knowledge classification. It illustrates with examples from the WebDewey good examples of added features of an online library classification system. It emphasizes that institutional backup and a revision machinery are essential for a classification to survive and remain relevant in the print and e-environment.

In 1613 the official-scholar LI Zhi-zao (李之藻) of the Ming Dynasty, in collaboration with the Italian Jesuit Matteo RICCI (利瑪竇), compiled the treatise Tongwen Suanzhi (同文算指). This is the first book which transmitted into China in a systematic and comprehensive way the art of written calculation that had been in common practice in Europe since the sixteenth century. This paper tries to see what pedagogical lessons can be gleaned from the book, in particular on the basic operations in arithmetic and related applications in various types of problems which form the content of modern day mathematics in elementary school education.

By virtue of the characteristics inherent in diagrams, diagrammatic reasoning has potential and limitations that distinguish it from general thinking. It is natural that diagrams rarely appeared in Joseon mathematical books, which were heavily focused on computation and algebra in content, and preferred linguistic expressions in form. However, as the late Joseon Dynasty unfolded, there emerged a noticeable increase in the frequency of employing diagrams, due to the educational purposes to facilitate explanations and the influence of Western mathematics. Analyzing the role of diagrams included in Jo Taegu's 'JuseoGwangyeon', an exemplary book, this study includes discussions on the utilization of diagrams from the perspective of mathematics education, based on the findings of the analysis.

The study explored the extent of the effect of content book trailer services among the specialized services of the library using the latest technology. The AIDMA&AISAS model was employed to measure the seven reactions of user behavior: Attention, Interest, Search, Desire, Memory, Action, and Share. A total of 287 responses were analyzed by conducting surveys with users who had experienced book trailer services at 13 public libraries located in Incheon. The study found that there were significant differences in user behavioral reactions in all of the content genre, including message, conflict, and character, and in particular, the character genre had the highest effects, followed by conflict and message genres. However, the post-hoc test indicated that there was no significant difference between the genres of conflict and character in terms of interest, search, and user satisfaction. The present study suggests theoretical implications by assessing and confirming the effects of book trailer services of the content genre on the reactions of user behavior compared with previous studies that measured the effects of the book trailer services of the form genre, and further practical implications for effective book trailer services.

A Digilog Book is an augmented reality (AR) based next generation publication supporting both sentimental analog emotions and digitized multi-sensory feedbacks by combining a conventional printed book and digital contents. As a Digilog Book authoring software, ARtalet provides an intuitive authoring environment through 3D user interface in AR environment. In this paper, we suggest ARtalet authoring environment based trajectory editing method to generate and manipulate a movement path of an augmented 3D object on the Digilog Book. Specifically, the translation points of the 3D manipulation prop is examined to determine that the point is a proper control point of a trajectory. Then the interpolation using splines is conducted to reconstruct the trajectory with smoothed form. The dynamic score based selection method is also exploited to effectively select small and dense control points of the trajectory. In an experimental evaluation our method took the same time and generated a similar amount of errors as the usual approach, but reduced the number of control points needed by over 90%. The reduced number of control points can properly reconstruct a movement path and drastically decrease the number of control point selections required for movement path modification. For control manipulation, the task completion time was reduced and there was less hand movement needed than with conventional method. Our method can be applicable to drawing or curve editing method in immersive In-Situ AR based education, game, design, animation, simulation application domains.

This study aims to develop a stereoscopic image authoring tool to effectively produce e-Book content that enhances user's sense of immersion in 3D environments. The proposed authoring tool consists of three core systems; 3D object editing, stereoscopic image, and image media production systems. First, the object editing system arranges and produces diverse objects that constitute virtual 3D spaces to fit the purpose of the content. In this case, commercial graphic authoring tools are utilized to design efficient data structures that can include produced external models. In addition, the material and textures of objects are made to be revisable and editable into the form wanted by the user. Thereafter, a stereoscopic image system will be implemented to produce the generated virtual scenes into stereoscopic images. This study uses the Anaglyph method so that the user can implement and use stereoscopic image scenes more easily. This method include functions to change the color of stereo cameras and control depth scaling. Finally, an image media production system will be implemented that will enable producing the produced stereoscopic images into single images or videos so that they can be effectively utilized in e-Book content.
