A study on humidity sensor using ZnO nanowires (ZnO 나노와이어 구조체를 이용한 습도 센서 연구)

  • 습도는 대기중에 분포되어있는 물 분자의 양으로 사람이 살아가는데 있어 막대한 영향을 주는 환경적 요소중 하나이다. 산업적 가스의 순도에 막대한 영향을 끼치기도 하고, 반도체 산업에서 불량률과도 밀접한 관련이 있다. 또한, 식품학이나 기상학, 농사와도 밀접한 관련이 있어서 습도를 측정하는 것은 중요시 되고 있다. 이를 위해서 많은 물질들이 사용되고, 연구되었다. 산화 구리, 산화 아연, 산화 납 등의 산화금속 물질들이나 전도성 고분자, 실리콘 기반의 물질들이 주로 사용되고 있는데, 그 중 산화 금속이 쉬운 합성 방법과 낮은 단가, 명확한 작동 원리로 인해 널리 사용되고 있다. 산화 아연의 경우 넓은 direct band gap energy와 우수한 내화학성으로 인해 주로 사용되는데 그 중 1차원 물질인 nanowire의 경우 비등성 구조와 높은 비표면적을 갖는 특성으로 인해 산화 아연의 nanowire 구조가 많이 사용된다. 본 연구에서는 열처리 공정을 이용하여 산화아연의 nanowire 구조를 합성하였고, 합성된 nanowire는 양쪽의 미세전극을 직접적으로 연결하여 간편한 방식으로 소형 소자를 만들 수 있다는 장점이 있다. 열처리 공정 이전에 전기도금 방식을 이용하여 아연층을 증착 하였다. 전기도금 조건은 0.1 M의 염화 아연과 1 M의 염화 칼륨으로 구성된 용액에 -1.1 V를 인가하였다. 합성된 아연층은 열처리 공정에 의해 산화아연의 nanowire 구조체로 변환되고, SEM (scanning electron microscope)를 통해 표면 형상을 관찰 하였고, XRD (X-ray diffraction)을 통해 미세구조를 확인하였다. -1 V부터 1 V 범위의 전압을 흘려주어 형성된 소자의 전기적 특성을 확인하였고, 1 V를 인가하였을 때, 습도 변화에 따른 센서 소자의 저항변화를 통해 습도 센서로서의 특성을 확인 하였다.

  • 자기누설탐상법은 비파괴검사 방법의 하나로 대상물체를 외부에서 착자시켜 결함이 발생할 경우에 결함부위에서 자기누설이 발생하도록 하여, 누설된 자기장을 측정하여 결함의 유무와 크기 등을 판정하는 시스템이다. 본 논문에서는 MFL 방식의 범용 NDT 검사기의 개발을 위해 영구자석을 이용하여 소형 비파괴 검사기를 설계하고, 3차원 유한요소법을 이용하여 해석하고 실제 데이터를 측정하여 그 결과를 비교 분석하였다.

A Flood Routing for the Downstream of the Kum River Basin due to the Teachong Dam Discharge (대청댐 방류에 따른 금강 하류부의 홍수추적)

  • In this study, the Storage Function Method and Loopnet Model (Unsteady flow analysis model) were used to construct the flood prediction system which can predict the effects of the water release in the downstream region of Teachong Dam. The regional frequency analysis (L-moment) was applied to compute frequency-based precipitation, and the flood prediction system was also used for flood routing of the down stream region of Teachong Dam in the Kum River Basin to calculate frequency based flood. The magnitude of flood, water level, discharge, and travel time to the major points of the downstream region of Teachong Dam, which can be used as an imdex of flood control management of Teachong Dam, were calculated.

  • In case of high-levelled platform in the urban railway system, a certain width of gap is inevitably formed between the train and the platform, and the gap gets wider when it is concerned with curved portion of the tracks at platform. This gap greatly contributes to decrease of passengers' safety while boarding and alighting a train. In particular, it endangers children's safety. Gap filler system is often fitted out to minimize gap and to overcome this safety problem at platform. However, as existing gap fillers are in most case structurally complex and organized to be powered from separate supply unit, there are a range of non-favorable points from the viewpoint of cost, installation and maintenance. In addition, existing gap fillers are due to cause disruptions in operation of train, with failures such as malfunctioning of control system. In this study, the authors will review on the gap filler applicable to the platforms of various height types, which neither requires any modifications of the train nor causes any operational disruptions. The proposed gap filler system here is a by-stage retractile type and based on the idea of interlocking it with train doors open-close mechanism, without any additional power supply unit or control system.

진공밀폐 용해법으로 제조된 $La_zCo_4Sb_{12}$ Skutterudite의 열전특성

  • 열전재료는 열과 전기의 변환이 상호 가역적으로 일어나는 현상을 갖는 재료로서, 사용온도별로 여러 가지 재료가 개발되고 있다. 중온 영역에서 우수한 열전특성을 보이는 skutterudite는 격자 내에 2개의 공극을 갖고 있고 이에 적절한 원자를 충진하여 포논산란을 유도하고, PGEC(phonon-glass and electron-crystal) 개념을 적용하여 재료의 열적인 성질과 전기적인 성질을 동시에 제어함으로써 열전성능의 향상을 도모할 수 있는 재료이다. 본 연구에서는 챔버 내부 기체를 연속적으로 뽑아내어 진공도를 유지하는 방식이 아닌, 석영관을 앰플화한 진공밀폐 용해법을 사용하였다. 진공밀폐 용해법은 성분원소의 산화와 휘발을 억제하는데 있어 매우 유용한 공정이다. 용해를 통해 얻어진 잉곳을 용해와 동일한 방법으로 석영관에 밀봉하여 873 K에서 100시간 동안 진공열처리를 실시하였다. 또한, 합성된 잉곳의 기계적 특성 향상을 위해 $75{\mu}m$ 이하로 파쇄하여 진공 열간 압축 소결하였다. La가 충진된 $La_zCo_4Sb_{12}$ Skutterudites 단일상을 합성하여 La의 충진량(z)에 따른 열전특성과 전자이동특성을 조사하였다.

A Study on the Inverse Emulsion Polymerization of Anionic Arcrylamide and Acrylic Acid (음이온성 아크릴아미드와 아크릴산의 역유화 중합에 관한 연구)

  • To developed new process for obtaining maximum molecular weight of anionic acrylamide and acrylic acid copolymer by inverse emulsion polymerization. Concentration of initiator, reducing agent, surfactant and mole ratio of acrylamide-acrylic acid were studied for the process. Semi-batch processes with method of redox, control of reaction temperature, feeding method of monomer and reaction time, was suitable for maximum molecular weight of P(AMAC) from this process obtained $3.09\;{\time}\;10^6({\bar{M}}n.)$ and $4.41\;{\time}\;10^6({\bar{M}}w.)$ in molecular weight measured by the intrinsic viscosity method. inverse emulsion polymerization mechanism of P(AMAC) does not followed the Smith-Ewart and Medvedev theory, but selected for concentration of initiator, reducing agent, surfactant, water solubility of monomer.

The Effects of Temperature and Light on the Quality Change of Oils and Fats (유지의 품질변화에 미치는 온도 및 광선의 영향)

  • AOM and lamp tests were carried out with soybean, corn, palm oil and beef tallow without the addition of antioxidant. The evaluation of rancidity for the stability was determined by changes of peroxide value and acid value, and the correlation between the stability and the composition of fats and oils was examined. The results obtained were as follows. 1. In the AOM test, POV began to rise in the order of corn oil, soybean oil, beef tallow and palm oil. However, the time required to reach POV 100 in beef tallow was faster than other fats and oils. It was found that there was a good correlation between POV and content of tocophrol. 2. In the lamp test by light of main wavelength 253.7nm, beef tallow was stabler than soybean and corn oil. It was because the absorption of light into beef tallow was much smaller than others, since beef tallow was fats. Palm oil was very stable in all the samples during AOM and lamp test.

  • The purpose of the study was to get the valuable data for developing the new natural fat soaps which have an excellent biodegradation performance. Thus, natural fat soaps mixed with the two types of detergents (AOS and LAS) on the various concentrations were made and the biodegradation of the samples were analysed by Dissolved Oxygen method using active sludge. Also, the results were compared with the commercial synthetic detergents and market soaps. The results from the study were the followings: 1. The plant fat soap and the wasted oil soap with the concentration of 5 mg/l and 15 mg/l had an excellent biodegradation rather than animal fat soap. 2. There was little difference among samples with the concentration of 5 mg/l, but there was much difference among them with the concentration of 15 mg/l. 3. The periods for consuming oxygen of wasted oil soap mixed AOS and LAS was the fastest.

  • Soluble epoxide hydrolase (sEH) is a metabolic regulator of epoxyeicosatrienoic acids (EETs). EETs have many beneficial effects, vasodilation, anti-diabetes, anti-inflammation, cardiovascular protection, renal protection. Therefore, selective sEH inhibitors have a potential for treating these diseases. In the present study, screening methods for sEH inhibitors using PHOME ((3-phenyl-oxiranyl)-acetic acid cyano-(6-methoxynaphthalen-2-yl)-methyl ester) and 14-15-EET as substrates were established. To determine selectivity, microsomal epoxide hydrolase (mEH) inhibition assay was also developed using styrene oxide as a substrate of microsomal epoxide hydrolase. Our results obtained from 12-[[(tricyclo[3.3.1.13,7]dec-1-ylamino)carbonyl]amino]-dodecanoic acid (AUDA) used as a positive sEH inhibitor and valpromide used as a positive mEH inhibitor showed that these methods are useful for discovery of drug candidates.

Evaluation of Oxidative Stress and Antioxidant Enzyme Expression in Human Hepatocarcinoma SK-Hep-1 Cells Treated with Stearic Acid (인간 간암 세포주인 SK-Hep-1에서 Stearic Acid에 의한 산화적 스트레스 및 항산화효소의 발현변화 평가)

  • Nonalcoholic steatohepatitis(NASH) is serious metabolic disease related to fatty acid. According to "two hit theory", fatty acid-induced oxidative stress is important factor to progress nonalcoholic steatohepatitis from steatosis. In this study, we evaluated stearic acid induced oxidative stress in human hepatocarcinoma SK-Hep-1 cell. Cell viability, reactive oxygen species (ROS) production, glutathione (GSH), malondialdehyde and expression of antioxidant enzymes were determined at various time-points and concentrations of stearic acid. At 0.2 mM, non-toxic concentration, of stearic acid, production of ROS was significantly increased at 24 hours and the level of GSH was significantly decreased. Expression of superoxide dismutase-1 and 2 was slightly increased in 0.2 mM stearic acid at 24 hours. These results represent that the non-toxic concentration of stearic acid resulted in oxidative stress, suggesting that stearic acid may play a critical role in development of steatohepatitis.
