This paper presents the results of an investigation into the frequency-dependent electrical parameters for different types of soil as a function of moisture content. The frequency dependence of soil electrical parameters is very important in the design of grounding systems. In fact, the performance of grounding systems is greatly dependent upon various factors such as soil type, particle size, water content, temperature, frequency, and the like. The resistivity and relative permittivity for four different soils were measured and analyzed in the frequency range of 1kHz - 1MHz. Soil resistivity declined as moisture content and frequency increased. In particular, the frequency dependence of soil resistivity was significant as the moisture content was low. In contrast, the relative permittivity of soil dramatically declined at the frequency of 10kHz or below as the moisture content increased, showing the opposite pattern in terms of variation patterns, compared to resistivity.

접지 저항을 줄이기 위해서 접지전극을 병렬로 시공할 경우 보다 쉽게 원하는 접지저항을 얻을 수 있다. 그러나 근접된 접지전극이 병렬로 매설되어 있을 경우 전위간섭의 영향으로 인해 합성 접지저항은 크게 감소하지 않는다. 현재의 전위간섭을 고려한 병렬접지전극의 합성 접지저항 및 합성 접지임피던스에 관한 연구는 많이 이루어지지 않았다. 본 논문에서 수직 접지전극을 정4각배열로 매설하였을 경우에 모의해석 방법을 제안하였으며 그 정확도를 평가하기 위해 실측값과 비교하였다.

Clustering or classification is a very fundamental task that may occur almost everywhere for the purpose of grouping. Optimal clustering is an example of very complicated combinatorial optimization problem and it is hard to develop a generally applicable optimal algorithm. In this paper we propose a general-purpose algorithm for the optimal clustering based on SA(simulated annealing). Among various iterative global optimization techniques imitating natural phenomena that have been proposed and utilized successfully for various combinatorial optimization problem, simulated annealing has its superiority because of its convergence property and simplicity. We first present a version of accelerated simulated annealing(ASA) and then we apply ASA to develop an efficient clustering algorithm. Application examples are also given.

This paper presents the characteristics of grounding impedance of counterpoises buried at various soil structures. Grounding impedance measurements were made by the Fall-of-Potential method. The experiments were carried out in 50 m counterpoise of 25 $mm^2$ buried at a depth of 0.5 m. The test current was injected by the impulse generator having the front time of $1{\sim}60{\mu}s$. As a result, the soil structures greatly influences on the grounding impedance characteristics of counterpoise. The transient grounding impedances strongly depend on the injection mint and the front time of impulse current.

사회의 발달에 따라 전기 전자 통신설비에 대한 중요성 및 이용률이 커짐에 따라 전기사고 발생 시 파급되는 인적, 물적 피해 또한 급증하여 안정적인 전력공급이 필수적으로 요구되고 있는 실정이다. 본 논문에서는 수배전반 전기사고 사전 예방을 위해 전기 관리자가 시간과 장소에 구애받지 않고 전력설비의 상태를 실시간으로 감시할 수 있도록 구축한 스마트폰을 활용한 수배전반 종합 감시 시스템에 대하여 설명한다. 스마트폰을 활용한 수배전반 종합 감시 시스템은 크게 전력설비의 상태를 모니터링 할 수 있는 감시부분, 설비 데이터 분석을 통해 전력설비의 상태를 미리 예측하고 이상을 진단하는 진단부분, 그리고 승인된 관리자만 접속 및 관리가 가능하도록 하는 보안부분으로 구성하였다. 향후 스마트폰을 이용한 수배전반 종합 감시 시스템의 활용은 수배전반 전기 사고의 감소와 관리 효율 증대에 큰 도움이 될 것으로 사료된다.

The impedance of a vertical grounding electrode is not lowered by expanding the dimension of the grounding electrode, and the length of thr vertical grounding electrode which shows the minimum value of the grounding impedance for each condition of frequency and soil characteristics is existent, and it is defined as Critical length. In this paper, the critical lengths for the vertical grounding electrodes are calculated by using the distributed parameter circuit model. The adequacy of the simulations has been confirmed by comparing the simulated results with the measured results.

A single specimen of Kentrocapros flavofasciatus (measuring 145.9 mm in length) belonging to the family Aracanidae, order Tetraodontiformes, was collected for the first time in 2017 on Jeju Island, Korea. This specimen had isolated bony plates on a caudal peduncle, a carapace with six ridges, and a tail depth equal to its tail length. It is similar to K. aculeatus and K. rosapinto but differs from K. aculeatus in that its carapace is without spines; it differs from K. rosapinto in that the anterior end of its gill opening does not reach below the center of its eye. We propose new Korean names: Yug-gak-bok-gwa for the family Aracanidae, and Hwang-Jul-yug-gak-bok for the species K. flavofasciatus.

Non-insulin dependent diabetes mellitus (NIDDM) is characterized by hyperglycemia, hyperinsulinemia. and impaired insulin action. Insulin resistance is considered to be the underlying mechanism in the pathogenesis of type 2 diabetes. which also leads to dyslipidemia, hypertension. and obesity. Thazolidinediones are a class of oral insulin-sensitizing agents that improve glucose utilization without increasing insulin release. They significantly reduce glucose, lipid and insulin levels in rodent models of NIDDM and obesity, and recent clinical data support theri efficacy in obese diabetic patients. (omitted)
