Endosseous implants have restored normal function and dental health to many patients. When implants were introduced as an effective treatment modality, their efficacy was limited by the amount of available bone. Today, various grafting procedures can surgically create bone width and volume. Implants can be placed in more ideal locations for successful prosthetic reconstruction. The use of autogenous bone grafts represents the "gold standard" for bone augmentation procedures. Either intraoral or extraoral sites may be considered for donor sites. Alveolar ridge augmentation using autogenous bone block, can be done during implant placement or staged with implant placement, after bone graft healing. In the staged technique, a better implant positioning and the use of wide diameter implants are possible. Alveolar ridge augmentation using autogenous block graft is a predictable way of treatment, for the atrophic alveolar ridge before implant placement. The cases presented in this article clinically demonstrate the efficacy of using a autogenous block graft in generating effective new bone fill for dental implant placement.

Linear roller bearing (LRB) is an important mechanical element that is widely used in precise positioning systems that are subjected to large loads. This paper presents a new model for estimating the displacement of an LRB subjected to external forces. For this purpose, assuming that the linear motion block (LM block) is rigid, the equilibrium conditions for the LRB were obtained by solving the equilibrium equations of the rollers and the rigid LM block using the iterative Newton-Raphson method. The contact loads between the rollers and raceways were determined considering the profiled rollers. Then, the structural deformations of the LM block, subjected to the contact loads from the rigid LM block model, were computed using a finite element model for the LM block. The displacements of the LRB were then determined by superposition of the rigid LM block displacements on the induced displacements due to the structural deformations of the LM block. The proposed method was verified through comparison with a program by the bearing manufacturer.

In this study, the program was modified by adding the empirical formula of EurOtop (2018) to enable calculation of wave overtopping on armoured slope structures in the FUNWAVE-TVD model using the fully nonlinear Boussinesq equation. The validity of the modified numerical model was verified by comparing it with CLASH data and experiment data for the rubble mound structure. This model accurately reproduced the change in wave overtopping rate according to the difference in the roughness factor of the armoured block, and well reproduced the rate of decrease in wave overtopping rate due to the increase in relative freeboard. The overtopping rate of the armoured slope structures showed significant differences depending on the positioning condition of the armoured blocks. When Tetrapods were placed with regular positioning, the overtopping rate increased significantly compared to when they were placed with random positioning, and it was consistent with when they were placed with Rocks. Meanwhile, when rocks were placed in one row, the wave overtopping rate was greater than when rocks were placed in two rows, which is believed to be due to the influence of the roughness and permeability of the structure's surface.
Background: The purpose of this prospective randomized single-blind clinical trial was to evaluate the effect of tilting the head on the anesthetic efficacy of inferior alveolar nerve block (IANB) in patients with symptomatic irreversible pulpitis. Methods: Ninety-two patients were divided into two groups: the first group received IANB and the head was tilted in the direction of the block for 15 min, whereas the second group received IANB and the head was tilted to the opposite side. Access cavity preparation was initiated after 15 min. Success was defined as no pain or faint/weak/mild pain during endodontic access preparation and instrumentation. The anesthetic success rates were analyzed by Pearson chi-square test at 5% significance levels. Results: The same side position and opposite side position yielded 41% and 30% anesthetic success rates, respectively; there was no significant difference between the two sides. Conclusions: Relative head position has no effect on the anesthetic success rate of IANB.

There are many positioning studies utilizing Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) in tourism industry. In this study, it was tried to develop new evaluation criteria for positioning and to discuss the importance of evaluation factors, as the development of tourist's spots was pursued in diversified ways. The purpose of this study was to allow the development of tourist spots more objectively and more efficiently utilizing Analytic Hierarchy Process ("AHP" hereunder) to appoint the best place for the tourism complex in Buyeo. According to AHP analysis procedures, 5 places near Baikje Cultural Block connecting with a ferry in Buyeo-gun were selected as candidates. To perform AHP analysis, evaluation criteria and a survey were used and then weight of evaluation criteria was induced. With the conditions on criteria, standard score of each criterion and candidate was calculated. By multiplying standard score and final weight and then summing up, the candidate place with the highest score shall be appointed as the most optimal place for Buyeo-gun Agricultural Tourism Complex.
For the purpose of development of anti-jamming GPS receiver we have developed an anti-jamming algorithm and its Simulink implementation model. The algorithm used here is a form of Space-Time Adaptive Processing (STAP) filter which is well known as an effective way to remove wideband jamming signals. We have chosen Minimum Variance Distortionless Response (MVDR) block-adaptive beamforming algorithm for our development since it can provide relatively fast convergence speed to reach optimal weights, stable and high suppression capability on various types of jamming signals. We will show modeling results for this MVDR type adaptive beamformer and some simulation results. We also show the integrity of the demodulated satellite signals and the accuracy of resulting navigation solutions after anti-jamming operation.

Safety system including location monitoring system for blasting workers was studied. Positioning performance of the location monitoring system was highly dependent on communication protocol and the number of access points in the blasting cell. RTLS(Real Time Location System) is an important technology to develop the location information of workers and variously used to enhance workers safety. Location monitoring system with Cell-ID and RSSI wireless communication technology was verified to have a proper positioning performance for the steel block application.

Many kinds of materials have been used up to now for vocal fold paralysis. Although silastic block has been the most popular material, some difficulties in carving, positioning, and placing have been the causes to find more easily applicable materials. Hy-droxylapatite, gelfoam, hyaluronic acid and fat have been suggested and used for this purposes with some limitations. During last decade, Gore-Tex was introduced and replacing old materials and showed good surgical results with less difficulties. This material is biocompatible and familiar to surgeons because it had been invented in 1960's. In addition it is easy to shape and place Gore-Tex into the window with many clinical experiences. In some problem cases, it is easy to remove from the body with less damage to surrounding tissue. The basic surgical techniques are as follows. 1) Creating window. 2) Positioning and placing the material. 3) Immobilizing the material and closing the window. The modified methods ae introduced in details with figures.
Recently, the recording density of hard disk drives has improved at an annual percentage rate of 100%. Therefore for faster access, higher disk rotational speeds will be required. The influence of the airflow produced by the rotation of a disk on the positioning accuracy has become a serious topic of research and the aerodynamic aspect of hard disk drives is now quite considerable with the increases in recording density and higher rotational speeds. Unsteady airflow in an actual hard disk drive is numerically simulated by using LES(Large Eddy Simulation) technique, we could predicted and aerodynamic mechanism that was related actuators' surroundings in HDD. At a result, with modifying the various shapes of the E-block and Damper, we estimated the characteristic of the influence of airflow in HDDs.
To achieve high productivity of assembly hull blocks, it is important to predict welding deformations accurately and to apply these data to the production planning. In the deformation analysis of hull block, simplified methods (elastic analysis) such as inherent method, equivalent loading method and local & global approach are usually used instead of thermal-elastic-plastic analysis because of calculating time and cost. To be much more practical, these simplified methods should consider gravity effect of plate and contact condition between the plate and the positioning jig. In this research, using finite element method, practical predicting method for the welding deformation of the curved hull blocks with considering welding sequence, gravity effect and contact condition is proposed.
