A Study on the Requirements Allocation and Tracking by Implementing Functional Analysis (기능분석을 이용한 항공기 설계요구의 할당 및 추적에 관한 연구)

  • By implementing the Systems Engineering process for the aircraft preliminary design, functional analysis study is performed, hence Functional Interface Data Flow(FIDF) and Functional Flow Block Diagram(FFBD) are generated. Based on FIDF and FFBD, allocable and non-allocable design/performance/RM&S requirements are allocated to the appropriate levels. Weight and cost tracking and design margin management methodologies are studied and implemented for the balanced aircraft design.

An Experimental Study on the Block Shear Rupture of Flange for H-Beam Tension Members (인장력을 받는 H형강 플랜지의 블록전단 파단에 관한 실험적 연구)

  • In this paper, an experimental study have been many studies on the propriety of block shear design code. according to limited state design criteria of steel structures recently established in Korea, by an experiment on the joint of H-Beam Flange tension members. The objects of this study were to compare with the results of other studies on block shear rupture mode and ultimate capacity, and to evaluate the propriety of the design criteria. The result is that the joint happened, two types, tension yield-shear ruptures and shear yield-tension ruptures, and the experimental rupture load was 23% higher than the capacity entered in the criteria design code In this criteria, it was found that ultimate strength of block shear of H-Beam Flange was lowly estimated. Therefore, we emphasize the need of estimates on the block shear rupture by carrying out many studies in this field.

  • Owing to the mass-housing policies of high-density and high-rise, the residential environments in Korea have come to be uniform and monotonous. Nevertheless, the design competitions introduced for the first time in 1980s have Played significant roles in developing the fresh ideas and concepts in housing design. And in our country, the land of the gradient $0-9^{\circ}$ that is able to plan as level sites come up to 32.5% of the total land and the land of the gradient $10-29^{\circ}$that should be designed by considering the characteristics of the sloping sites is 53.2% of the whole. For that reason, the development of the apartment housing in the sloping site has been done largely to solve the issues associated with the scarcity of the land. Therefore, it is very meaningful job to see the various design methods on the basis of the characteristics of the sites, particularly gradient, by analyzing the prizewinners in the design competitions. In this context, the research analyzed the works that won the design competition after 1990, and organized the types of the block plans and the design characteristics applied in our residence housing. Secondarily, it classified that types by the gradient and analyzed statistically and compared the numerical value.

A Development of Ship-Block Dividing CAD Module Connected to WWW (WWW와 연계된 선박 조립 구조물의 분할 CAD모듈 개발)

  • A ship-block cutting module is being developed as part of a computational system for a ship design. The module supports product-information to other modules in design process and displays ship-blocks in cutting-operation. Welding-information is essential to process-planning and scheduling. In the module, ship-blocks are modeled by Plate-Objects and then divided into several cutting pieces. The module automatically creates Welding-Objects containing welding-information in the process. Since the module is connected to WWW(World Wide Web), users in various platforms can access the models simultaneously In addition, users can check manufacturing constraints by inspecting a virtual model.

System Level Design of Multi-standard Receiver Using Reconfigurable RF Block

  • In this paper, we review the four receiver architectures and four methods for multi-standard receiver design. Propose reconfigurable RF block can be used for both low-IF and direct conversion architecture. Also, using reconfigurable mixer method, it can be operated at $2{\sim}6$ GHz range for multi-standard receiver. It consists of wideband mixer, filter, and automatic gain control amplifier and to get wide-band operation, $2{\sim}6$ GHz, wide-band mixer use flexible input matching method. Besides, to design multi-standard receiver, LNA bank that support each standard is necessary and it has good performance to compensate the performance of wide-band mixer. Finally, we design and simulate proposed reconfigurable RF block and to prove that it has acceptable performances for various wireless standards, the LNA bank that supports both IEEE 802.11a/b/g and WCDMA is also designed and simulated with it.

THE DESIGN OF AN EFFICIENT LOAD BALANCING ALGORITHM EMPLOYING BLOCK DESIGN

  • In order to maintain load balancing in a distributed system, we should obtain workload information from all the nodes on network. This processing requires $O(v^2)$ communication overhead, where v is the number of nodes. In this paper, we present a new synchronous dynamic distributed load balancing algorithm on a (v, k + 1, 1)-configured network applying a symmetric balanced incomplete block design, where $v\;=\;k^2$\;+\;k\;+\;1$. Our algorithm needs only $O(\sqrt[v]{v})$ communication overhead and each node receives workload information from all the nodes without redundancy. Therefore, load balancing is maintained since every link has the same amount of traffic for transferring workload information.

  • Two-dimensional hybrid codewords are generated by using each row of identity matrix for spatial encoding and nonideal symmetric balance incomplete block design(BIBD) code for spectral encoding. This spatial/spectral optical code-division multiple-access (OCDMA) network uses single-balanced detectors to abstract the desired information bits and to eliminate the multiple-access interference(MAI). Analytical results show that the number of simultaneous users increases significantly by using the proposed hybrid codes.

  • In this paper, we propose the design criteria of the pre-processing scheme used in ABAB type quasi-orthogonal space-time block code(QOSTBC) and derive. The proposed design criteria show how to obtain full-diversity and full-rate (FDFR) property, single-symbol decodability, and increased coding gam. We design an improved ABAB type QOSTBC using the proposed design criteria. The desinged QOSTBC has a superior performance to Dalton's QOSTBC and inherits the merits of Dalton's QOSTBC, which are FDFR property, and single symbol decodability for PAM signal constellation.

  • Nonparametric procedure in randomized block design (RBD) was proposed by Friedman (1937) for general alternatives. Also Page (1963) suggested the test for ordered alternatives in RBD. In this paper, we proposed the new nonparametric method in randomized block design using aligned method suggested by Hodges and Lehmann (1962) and the joint placement described in Chung and Kim (2007). Also, Monte Carlo simulation study was adapted to compare the power of the proposed procedure with those of previous procedure.
