The progress of industrialization in Korea has led to increase social participation by females and also a transition toward a nuclear family based system. As a result of it, Korea is nowadays confronted with the issue of childcare, which is emerging as a social problem. In Japan, both combined nurturing facilities and the exclusively dedicated facilities for disabled children are institutionally maintained on a consistent basis. In addition, the enactment of the Children Welfare Act has subsequently given birth to the establishment of the 'Minimum Standard Requirements for Children's Welfare Facilities'. With such act and standards in place, much attention is now paid to a physical improvement of disabled children nurturing facilities, too. In order to make the requirements for such facilities more complete and substantial, local governments have enacted their own ordinances on the basis of the major policies regarding the universal designs for the disabled, such as the Heart Building Act. As Japan has a cultural background similar to that of Korea and is equipped with the nurturing facilities systemized in accordance with the symptom and degree of disabilities, it is believed that a study on the current standards for disabled children in Japan will help to provide our domestic standards applicable to such facilities.

This study was conducted to examine factors influencing mental health of middle-aged adults(N=203) in relation to sociodemographic variables, health behaviors, and social support. The survey with questionnaire was carried out for the subjects of the residents in two communities of a local city located in Gangwon-do, Korea from September 3 to 15, 2003. Data analysis procedure included stepwise multiple regression using mental health as the dependent variable, and sociodemographic variables, health behaviors, and social support as independent variables. There were significant differences in the mental health by birth place(t=-1.67, p<0.10), religion (t=2.27, p<0.05) and subjective economic status(F=2.29, p<0.10). Mental health showed significant positive correlations with both health behavior (r=0.462, p<0.001) and social support (r=0.142, p<0.05). Stepwise multiple regression analysis for mental health revealed that the most powerful predictor was health behavior(β=0.453, p<0.001). Health behavior and religion explained 24％ of the variance. The results suggest the necessity of a intervention that considers the health behaviors should be included in middle-aged adults so as to promote mental health.

Google, Yahoo, Daum and Naver has the POI(point of interest) service. And POI on the map is expending to social commerce, SNS, social game and social shopping. At the same time the uses's position on the map is the starting point of the Humanities Story. That means our current position is the place for stories of tales, children's song, fictional characters, the film background, lyrics and the birth of great people. This study points out that service has the limited to cafe, restaurant and hospital, and suggests the Humanities fusion Map Service which is combined with the POI information.

Giving birth to a new concept of spatial paratext which originated from literature criticism, this paper attempts to illuminate new value, meaning and properties of mobile mixed reality. While physical places can be regarded as 'langue' that refers to fixed structure and main text at the same time, user created participatory authoring in that place and his(her) spatio-temporal trace corresponds to 'parole', and their merging into mobile mixed reality storytelling can be viewed as 'paratexts'. We proposed a design and implementation methods for establishing spatial paratexts, also with aesthetic transformation experiments with them. In this way, we gave shape to the concrete concept and realization methods of mobile mixed reality as spatial paratext.

Objectives : Toxoplasmosis is a member of the zoonosis group and may cause congenital infection . Antibody positive rates of toxoplasmosis were examined in high school students in Cheju, Korea to facilitate the study aim of examining the seroprevalence of Toxoplasma gondii in school teachers of child-bearing age in Cheju Island. Methods : The study population comprised teachers of child-bearing age in primary, middle and high schools, aged 35 years and younger, who wished to be tested for Toxoplasma gondii antibodies (IgG) by the indirect latex agglutination test (ILA) and the enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) method. Results : The overall antibody positive rate was 3.8% in the study subjects (n=314), a rate which showed no significant difference due to birth place, history of bringing up pets, or history of contacting a cat. Conclusion : We confirmed that the seroprevalence of Toxoplasma gondii in a population of child-bearing teachers in Cheju Island was the same as that previously reported in other parts of Korea.

This article examined the historical evolution of changes in the democratization of fashion, identified its characteristics, and defined 'fashionocracy - fashion democracy'- by analyzing various phenomena in the global fashion industry. This research will expand the field of fashion research and spark academic debates about fashion democracy. The democratization of fashion can be summarized in five periods; birth, introduction, early growth, growth, and maturity. The characteristics of the democratization of fashion include individual autonomy, accessibility that many people can access and enjoy, and diversity. According to the principles of democracy- "of the people, for the people, by the people" - which are based on freedom and equality, we have achieved fashion of the people and for the people so far. Furthermore, social media has shifted the balance of power to influencers and bloggers; as such, the masses who have consumed and enjoyed fashion democratization are becoming producers and promoters by actively participating in the process of making fashion, creating a new era of fashion democracy (fashionocracy): - by the people. Ultimately, fashionocracy consists of the '6P's' ; people (active and productive consumers), planet (society and environmental sustainability), products (genderless, ageless, inclusive), price (reasonable), place (multi-channel distribution, virtual spaces), and promotion (horizontal).

In K-12 education, reassessment is a common practice, providing students with opportunities to enhance their understanding through low-stakes assignments. However, reassessment is underutilized in higher education, including during the challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic. Our study advocates for expanding the use of reassessment in university settings to promote holistic learning and focus on what shifts of change were made by students in an initial mathematics content course as they sought to gain licensure for teaching in a birth (daycare/pre-K setting) to eighth-grade classrooms. Our study took place during COVID-19 semesters and aimed to examine how using a reassessment approach early on in a gateway course for Prospective Teachers (PTs) affected the pass rate of the course. Results showed significant differences between the PTs who engaged with the test recovery and those who did not. We propose recovery opportunities like ours provide the necessary guidance to support early degree necessary classes that are typically gatekeeping and, as another, likely cause too few students within the courses because they were able to advance into the teacher pipeline and out into the field. Future studies may consider how the reassessment could be done more before the official summative assessment of a unit or chapter to continue the shifts in teaching practices and pedagogy that are constant within the K-12 education systems at the university level.

The mobile phone and wireless network, location based technology and other newly introduced technologies and communication media gave birth to the new terminology "ubiquitous" and are changing our daily life. Influence of such technologies and communication media is not an exception in the arts. New media art pieces using these technologies are increasing, and taking on the characteristics of public art within a wider scope of a city as a backdrop, beyond the traditional boundaries of art galleries. Of such art, locative media art using locative media has a closer relationship with city space than any other form of an, and makes various attempts to allow the spectator to reinterpret and experience city space and induce communication. These characteristics of locative media art can be considered as a method that can solve quality problems of the city space, especially the loss of the sense of place and the absence of communication. is one such locative media project with a purpose of solving quality problems of city space, especially the recovery of commercial sites and inducing communication. This project uses the paths of the city as its canvas, movement of people as its brush, the color of the roads as its pallet, and by allowing the partakers to draw paths of their own and to share their paths with others. People are encouraged to share stories about their paths. The project proceeds using barcodes that are frequently used commercially. When users wish to create their own place, they can enter their place and colors of their choice using input devices installed in the city space. Paths that are created through such a process will be displayed in public areas throughout the city, shared with others, and can create and share a stories about the city using on/off-line media.

The Scripture of Myriad Laws was first published in 1986 and then reprinted in 1994 and 1995. It gained widespread recognition as a mysterious text or a Buddhist document containing enigmatic content that deemed difficult to comprehend. Through the analysis of the content of The Scripture of Myriad Laws, it was revealed that the book was published by the Dragon Flower Order, a Jeungsanist religion founded by Seo Baek-Il (徐白一). Therefore, the various texts included in The Scripture of Myriad Laws can be classified as 'Songs of Jeungsanism' (Jeungsan-gyo Gasa 甑山敎歌辭). The contents included in The Scripture of Myriad Laws often mention terms unique to the Jeungsanist orders, such as 'the Reordering Works of Heaven and Earth' (天地公事), 'presiding over cures' (醫統), 'Degree Number' (度數), 'the West God' (西神), 'the nobility of heaven' (天尊), 'the nobility of earth' (地尊), 'the nobility of humanity' (人尊), 'ruling the world for 50 years' (治天下五十年), and 'the era of Resolving Grievances (解冤時代).' It also discusses the birthplace and birth date of Kang Jeungsan, his family name, and the duration of his existence. The contents directly quote the words spoken by Jeungsan and incorporate them into songs. They also mention unique Jeungsan terms such as 'Five Immortals Playing Baduk' (五仙圍碁), 'open-weight wresting match,' 'birth, growth, harvest, and storage' (生長斂藏), 'the god who listens to words' (言聽神), 'pillar of foundation' (基礎棟樑),' 'Ocean Seal' (海印), and 'the higher gods' (上計神). It is also notable that some verses of Chinese poetry that Jeungsan taught his disciples are directly quoted in this scripture. Furthermore, the scripture shows traces of Buddhist salvational beliefs; particularly those that emphasize faith in Maitreya Bodhisattva (彌勒信仰). However, The Scripture of Myriad Laws differs from traditional Buddhist beliefs in that it anticipates and emphasizes the birth of a specific individual endowed with the power and abilities of Maitreya Buddha. While emphasizing Maitreya Buddha (彌勒世尊) and the Dragon Flower Gathering (龍華會上), the scripture also specifically mentions Geumsan-sa Temple (金山寺) located on Mount Moak (母岳山) in North Jeolla Province, and these details are sung about in a special manner. This positive portrayal serves to affirm the belief of followers that Jeungsan, centered around Geumsan-sa Temple, was an incarnation of Maitreya Buddha. Moreover, The Scripture of Myriad Laws subtly asserts that Seo Baek-il, the leader of the Dragon Flower Order, who is mentioned in the scripture, is the absolute savior who has come to this world in place of Jeungsan. In support of this teaching, his birth date, birthplace, years of imprisonment, release date, and honorific name (號) are all recorded in precise detail.

This is a survey on congenital posterolateral diaphragmatic hernia, conducted by the Korean Association of Pediatric Surgeons(KAPS). A registration form for each patient during the 5-year-period between 1998 and 2002 and a questionaire were sent to each member. Twenty-ninemembers in 22 institutions returned completed forms. The average number of patients per surgeon was 1.4 cases a year. The male to female ratio was 1.64: 1, and annual incidencewas 1/14,522 live births. In this review, factors influencing survival in congenital posterolateral diaphragmatic hernia were age at admission, birth weight, time of antenatal diagnosis, birth place, Apgar score, onset time of symptoms and signs, preoperative cardiopulmonary resuscitation, associated anomalies of themusculoskeletal system, central nervous system, or chromosomes, preoperative stabilization, levels of preoperative $FiO_2$, pH, and $AaDO_2$, perioperative complications, bilaterality of defect, size of the defect, and presence or absence of hernia sac.
