This paper proposes a touchless fingerprint acquisition device for five fingerprints. In conventional devices, they are focused for taking 1 touchless fingerprint image. But this device is taking 5 fingerprint image at a time. Also, it considers problems for focus and rolling in touchless fingerprint recognition for using camera. They affects fingerprint recognition, so this research is performed to measure and analyze these problems.

In this paper, a generalized version of the Motion Silhouette Image(MSI) called the Generic Motion Silhouette Image (GMSI) is proposed for gait recognition. The GMSI is a gray-level image and involves the spatiotemporal information of individual motion. The GMSI not only generalizes the MSI but also reflects a flexible feature of a gait sequence. Along with the GMSI, we use the Principal Component Analysis(PCA) to reduce the dimensionality of the GMSI and the Nearest Neighbor(NN) for classification. We apply the proposed feature to NLPR database and compare it with the conventional MSI. Experimental results show the effectiveness of the GMSI.
In this paper, we propose a method that extracts invariant iris codes from user's iris pattern in order to apply these codes to a new cryptographic construct called fuzzy vault. The fuzzy vault, proposed by Juels and Sudan, has been used to manage cryptographic key safely by merging with biometrics. Generally, iris data has intra-variation of iris pattern according to sensed environmental changes, but cryptography requires correctness. Therefore, to combine iris data and fuzzy vault, we have to extract an invariant iris feature from iris pattern. In this paper, we obtain invariant iris codes by clustering iris features extracted by independent component analysis(ICA) transform. From experimental results, we proved that the iris codes extracted by our method are invariant to sensed environmental changes and can be used in fuzzy vault.

Currently, the leakage of internal information has emerged as one of the most significant security concerns in enterprise computing environments. Especially, damage due to internal information leakage by insiders is more serious than that by outsiders because insiders have considerable knowledge of the system's identification and password (ID&P/W), the security system, and the main location of sensitive data. Therefore, many security companies are developing internal data leakage prevention techniques such as data leakage protection (DLP), digital right management (DRM), and system access control, etc. However, these techniques cannot effectively block the leakage of internal information by insiders who have a legitimate access authorization. The security system does not easily detect cases which a legitimate insider changes, deletes, and leaks data stored on the server. Therefore, we focused on the insider as the detection target to address this security weakness. In other words, we switched the detection target from objects (internal information) to subjects (insiders). We concentrated on biometrics signals change when an insider conducts abnormal behavior. When insiders attempt to leak internal information, they appear to display abnormal emotional conditions due to tension, agitation, and anxiety, etc. These conditions can be detected by the changes of biometrics signals such as pulse, temperature, and skin conductivity, etc. We carried out experiments in two ways in order to verify the effectiveness of the emotional recognition technology based on biometrics signals. We analyzed the possibility of internal information leakage detection using an emotional recognition technology based on biometrics signals through experiments.
This paper presented new biometrics data transfer model, and use MD5 (Message Digest5) and RSA (Ron Rivest, Adi Shamir, Len Adleman) algorithm to improve biometrics data's security. So, did so that can run user authentication more safely. That is, do so that may input fingerprint among biometrics through client, and transmit processed fingerprint to server. When fingerprint information is transmitted, it uses MD5 algorithm to solve problem that get seized unlawful living body information from outside and information does Digest. And did to pass through process that transmit again this by RSA method. Also, experimented general text data and living body data that is not encoded, transmission speed and security of living body data that encoding and transmit each comparison. By running user authentication through such improved method, is expected to be applied in several. fields by method to simplify certification procedure and is little more correct and stable.
In this paper, we propose a quality assessment method of biometrics for estimating an authentication result in an user authentication system. The proposed quality assessment method is designed to compute a quality score called CIMR (Confidence Interval Matching Ratio) as a result by small-sample analysis like T-test. We use the C/MR-based quality assessment method for testing how to well draw a distinction between various biometrics in a multimodal biometric system. We also test a predictability for authentication results of obtained biometrics using the mean $\bar{X}$ and the variance $s^2$ in T-test-based CIMR. As a result, we achieved the maximum 88% accuracy for estimation of user authentication results.
According to increasing of payment and settlements like smart banking, internet shopping and contactless transaction in smart device, the security issues are on the rise, such as the vulnerability of the mobile OS and certificates abuse problem, we need a secure user authentication. We apply the OTP using biometrics and PKI as user authentication way for dealing with this situation. Biometrics is less risk of loss and steal than other authentication that, in addition, the security can be enhanced more when using the biometric with OTP. In this paper, we propose a user authentication using biometrics and OTP in the mobile device.
Fingerprint recognition systems are the most widely used in biometrics for personal authentication. As they become more familiar, the security weaknesses of fingerprint sensors are becoming better known. In this paper, we propose a liveness detection method that applies correlation filter to the fingerprint recognition systems. The physiological characteristic of sweat pore, observed only in live people, is used as a measure to classify 'live' fingers from 'spoof' fingers. Previous works show that detection of sweat pores and perspiration patterns in fingerprint images can be used as an anti-spoofing measure. These methods don't consider the characteristic of pores in each individual. We construct the correlation filters of each individual which are composed of their pore information. We make the final decision about the "livens" of fingerprint using correlation output. The proposed algorithm was applied to a data set of 110 live, 110 spoof fingerprint images from optical fingerprint scanner and achieved classification rate of 80%.

This paper deals with implementing a steganography based multi-modal biometric system. For this purpose, we construct a multi-biometrics system based on the face and iris recognition. Here, the feature vector of iris pattern is hidden in the face image. The recognition system is designed by the fuzzy-based Linear Discriminant Analysis(LDA), which is an expanded approach of the LDA method combined by the theory of fuzzy sets. Furthermore, we present a watermarking method that can embed iris information into face images. Finally, we show the advantages of the proposed watermarking scheme by computing the ROC curves and make some comparisons recognition rates of watermarked face images with those of original ones. From various experiments, we found that our proposed scheme could be used for establishing efficient and secure multi-modal biometric systems.
This paper describes the biometrics system for user authentication in electronic commerce. At present, social demands are increasing for information security techniques against the information wiretapping in open communications network. For this, these techniques such as anti-virus, firewall, VPN, authentication, cryptography, public key based systems and security management systems have been developed. This Paper discusses the user authentication for the implementation of efficient electronic payment systems. In particular. user authentication system has keen developed using biometrics techniques and the effectiveness of this paper is demonstrated by several experiments.
