Effects of Foliar Application of Bio-enzyme on the Seedlings Growth of Cucumber and Red Pepper (바이오효소(bio-enzyme)의 엽면시비가 오이, 고추 유묘의 생장에 미치는 영향)

  • This experiment was conducted to know the effects of foliar applicated bio-enzyme on the early growth of cucumber and red pepper seedlings. Bio-enzyme was manufactured by the culture and proliferation of Bacillus genus and foliar applicated by the concentration of 0.075, 0.15, 0.3 g.$\ell$-1. Foliar application of bio-enzyme had great influenced to the early growth both cucumber and red pepper seedlings. Optimum concentrations of bio-enzyme applicated for the growth of plant height were determined as of 0.075 g.$\ell$-1 in cucumber but in red pepper seedlings 0.15g.$\ell$-1 was more favored. However, foliar application of 0.15g.$\ell$-1 of bio-enzyme was recommended for both cucumber and red pepper seedlings. Especially, leaf area and total dry weight which are main indices of good seedling were highest in the plot of standard concentrations(0.15g.$\ell$-1)of bio-enzyme.

Fall Performance of Korean Lawngrass (Zoysia japonica Steud.)as affected by Bio -fertilizer Application (발효계분비료시용이 들잔디(Zoysia japonica Steud.)의 추계생장양상에 미치는 영향)

  • The effect of bio-fertilizer, which was manufactured poultry manure, on the fall performance of Korean lawngrass was determined on a clay loam soil. Plant length was characterized by increasing the amount of bio-fertilizer applied. This trend was also true in dry matter yield of tops during the experimental period from August 31 through October 30. Both tiller numbers and stolon length steadily increased with increasing amount of bio-fertilizer applied, and 40m/t application of bio-fertilizer was found to be most effective on both components. performance shown on November 5 was prominent for both green leaf and root weights when the increased amount of bio-fertilizer was applied. Korean lawngrass had three times as much green leaf weight with 40m/t application of bio-fertilizer as with other treatments. Several functions of increment of above- ground part components caused by increasing root weight, which is greatly affected by bio-fertilizer application, was discussed. Turf quality was much improved by applying bio-fertilizer, indicating that this fertilizer might play an improtant role in respect of soil structure, water retention etc.

  • MEMS(micro electro mechanical systems) is a technology for the manufacture hyperfine structure, as a micro-sensor and a driving device, by a variety of materials such as silicon and polymer. Many study for utilizing the MEMS applications have been performed in variety of fields, such as light devices, high frequency equipments, bio-technology, energy applications and other applications. Especially, the field of Bio-MEMS related with bio-technology is very attractive, because it have the potential technology for the miniaturization of the medical diagnosis system. Bio-MEMS, the compound word formed from the words 'Bio-technology' and 'MEMS', is hyperfine devices to analyze biological signals in vitro or in vivo. It is extending the range of its application area, by combination with nano-technology(NT), Information Technology(IT). The LOC(lab-on-a-chip) in Bio-MEMS, the comprehensive measurement system combined with Micro fluidic systems, bio-sensors and bio-materials, is the representative technology for the miniaturization of the medical diagnosis system. Therefore, many researchers around the world are performing research on this area. In this paper, the application, development and market trends of Bio-MEMS are investigated.

Microplasma-Jet Device for Bio-medical Application (바이오-메디컬 응용을 위한 마이크로 플라즈마 분사 소자)

  • This paper presents an atmospheric microplasma-jet device for bio~medical application. The microplasma-jet device consists of four components; a thin Ni anode, porous alumina insulator, a stainless steel cathode and an aluminum case. The anode has 8 holes, and hole diameter and depth are $200 {\mu}m$ and $60 {\mu}m$, respectively. The discharge test was performed in atmospheric pressure using nitrogen gas and AC voltage at the optimum gas flow rate of 4 Vmin. The plasma-jet is ejected stably for the input voltage ranging from 5.5 to $9.5 kV_{p-p}$. The plasma becomes dense as the input voltage increases, which was verified by the hydrophilicity change of PMMA surface treated by the plasma. The temperature increasement of the aluminum film exposed to plasma-jet illustrates that the micro plasma-jet device is feasible for bio-medical application.

Task Parallelism System of Application for Multicore-Based Mobile Platform (멀티코어 기반 모바일 플랫폼을 위한 애플리케이션의 태스크 병렬화 시스템)

  • This paper proposes a task parallelism system (BioMP) to improve applications' execution time of multicore based mobile device. When application developers append the functions of parallel specification into the existing software, our proposed system supports the parallel processing of threads as well as a compatibility. BioMP improves the software in order that an existing large-scale source can recognize the multicore architecture. From our experiment, our idea improved the execution time of application until about 64% against the existing system in multicore environment based on quad core. In addition, BioMP does not require any additional modification of a mobile platform because BioMP is independent component. Consequently, when application developers release multicore-aware applications into the application store, users can immediately run without any modification of the mobile device.

Effect of Organic Fertilizer as Bio-com Application on the Changes of Soil Microorganisms, Gas Evolution, and Mineral-N Transformation in Submerged Condition (유기질비료(有機質肥料) Bio-com 시용(施用)이 토양(土壤)의 미생물상(微生物相) 및 화학성(化學性)에 미치는 영향(影響))

  • A laboratory experiment was conducted to find out the effect of organic fertilizer as Bio-com$^{(R)}$ on the changes of pH and Eh values, gas evolution, ammonification and nitrification, and microbial population with farmer's compost and refused mushroom compost in submerged paddy condition. The results obtained are summarized as follows: 1. Application of compost and refused mushroom compost was increased the pH values than that of NPK alone. Organic fertilizer of Bio-com$^{(R)}$ showed the same results of the farmer's compost or refused mushroom compost. 2. Population of soil microbes as bacteria, actinomycetes and fungi was increased by application of compost, refused mushroom compost and Bio-com$^{(R)}$. Moreover, the results were pronounced more with the addition of NPK. 3. The application of Bio-com$^{(R)}$ was effected to the increase of the amount of $NO_3-N$ and the rate of nitrification than NPK, farmer's compost or refused mushroom compost. 4. The amounts of evolved gases as $CH_4$, $CO_2$, and $N_2O$ were not much differed with application of kinds of compost and NPK, but little increasing tendency was observed in application of NPK than that of NPK+kinds of compost.

  • Biometrics is one of promising future technologies within personal identification area, and its application stretches to other variety industry site. Therefore it is necessary to test whether these products are implemented in conformance withe the BioAPI international standard specification. This paper presents the specific construction and application examples of BioAPI v2.0 conformance test suite according to the method described in ISO/IEC 24709. The problems and experience that have been discovered in the construction are described. Three BSP products claiming conformance to BioAPI was tested by proposed the test methodology and tools.

  • 본 논문에서는 스마트케어 서비스를 위해, Android 운영체제를 기반으로 하는 Device에서 ADK를 이용해 혈압계를 제어하는 방법을 제안한다. 이 방법은 소프트웨어와 하드웨어를 결합한 kit인 ADK를 사용하여 Hardware를 잘 모르는 사람들도 Android에서 Hardware의 GPIO에 좀 더 쉽게 접근하고 제어할 수 있어 보다 다양한 기능을 구현할 수 있다. 또한 이 방법으로 얻은 혈압계 데이터를 Database에 저장하여 데이터통신망을 통해 전문의에게 Feedback을 받음으로써 굳이 병원을 방문하지 않더라도 개인의 건강을 보다 편리하게 관리할 수 있어 한 단계 수준 높은 진단을 받을 수 있다.
