ER 댐퍼의 이력현상을 고려한 댐핑력 특성 고찰 (Damping Force Characteristics of ER Damper Considering Hysteresis)

  • This paper presents hydraulic model which can capture the hysteric damping force behavior of ER damper. A flow mode rue ER damper is manufactured, and its field-dependent damping forces are measured. Newly proposed hydraulic model which derived from physical hydro-mechanical parameters of ER damper are conventional Bingham model are investigated to represent the field-dependent damping force characteristics of ER damper. After principal parameters of two models are estimated from the measured damping forces data, the force vs velocity hysteresis cycles are then reconstructed. The results show that the proposed hydraulic model can capture the hysteresis behavior of ER damper accurately.

  • In order to have pumping technology for high speed construction of tall building, study for quantitative evaluation of flow characteristics and pumpability should be conducted. So, this study evaluate the characteristics among the inner pipe pressure, fresh concrete properties and separated mortar through the continuous pumping test. Then it consider of relations between rheological properties and pumpability. In the result of test, it found that there are high interrelationship between the rheological characteristics which represented plastic viscosity and pressure lose by pipe length.

200 kg급 압착모드형 ER 마운트의 진동제어성능 고찰 (Investigation on Vibration Control of Squeeze Mode ER Mount Subjected to 200 kg of Static Load)

  • This paper presents vibration control performance of a squeeze mode ER mount for high static load. After experimentally investigating the field-dependent damping force under the squeeze mode motion, a squeeze mode ER mount which can support 200 kg of static load is designed and manufactured. Displacement transmissibility of the proposed ER mount is experimentally evaluated in frequency domain with respect to the intensity of the electric field, and a sky-hook control algorithm is designed to attenuate unwanted vibration. Vibration isolation capabilities of the flow mode ER mount and rubber mount are compared to those of the proposed squeeze mode ER mount.

  • This paper presents the temperature-dependent hysteresis identification of an electro-rheological (ER) fluid under various operating temperatures using the Preisach model. As a first step, polymethylaniline (PMA) particles are prepared and mixed with silicone oil to make an ER fluid. A couette type electroviscometer is then employed to obtain the field-dependent shear stress. In order to show the suitability of the Preisach model to predict a physical hysteresis phenomenon of the ER fluid, two significant properties; the minor loop property and the wiping-out property are experimentally examined under three dominant temperature conditions. Subsequently, the Preisach model fur the PMA-based ER fluid is identified using experimental first order descending (FOD) curves. The effectiveness of the identified hysteresis model is verified in the time domain by comparing the predicted field-dependent shear stress with the measured one under the both specified and unspecified temperatures. In addition, the hysteresis model proposed in this work is compared to Bingham model.

건축구조물의 지진응답제어를 위한 MR 감쇠기 예비설계절차 (Preliminary Design Procedure of MR Dampers for Controlling Seismic Response of Building Structures)

  • 본 연구의 목적은 건축구조물의 지진응답제어를 위한 MR 감쇠기의 크기, 개수 및 최적위치를 결정하는 설계절차를 제안하는 것이다. 기존의 연구에서 제안된 MR 감쇠기의 모델링 방법들의 특성과 차이점을 진동제어효과의 관점에서 분석하였으며, 이 모델 중 해석이 간단하고 이력특성을 모사할 수 있는 이력 이점성 모델을 사용하여 MR 감쇠기의 변수연구를 수행하였다. 건축구조물의 층간에 설치되는MR 감쇠장치의 용량은 지진응답의 경우 구조물의 주기와 감쇠비에 따라 층전단력이 다르게 됨을 고려하여, 20개의 지진하중에 대한 해석으로부터 구한 응답스펙트럼을 이용하여 결정하였으며, 설치 갯수에 따른 제어경향을 분석하였다. MR 감쇠기의 크기, 개수, 그리고 최적위치를 결정하기 위한 방법이 제안되었으며, 기존의 점성감쇠기 설계시 이용되는 층간변위 혹은 층간속도가 가장 큰 층에 순차적으로 설치하는 방법과의 비교를 통해 유효성을 검증하였다. 수치해석결과는 제안된 방법을 사용하여 MR 감쇠기의 크기, 개수, 그리고 위치를 합리적으로 결정할 수 있음을 보여준다.

준설 연약 점토의 전단강도 특성에 관한 연구 (A Study on Strength Characteristics of Dredged Soft Clay)

  • 본 논문에서는 연속재하압밀시험을 적용하여 준설토의 거동을 연구하고 얇은 판을 이용하여 준설토의 강도 시험을 실시하는 새로운 실험 방법을 고안하여 실험을 하였다. 이 경우 준설토의 유동적 특성은 Bingham 모델로 설명할 수 있다. 이러한 방법을 위하여 정적 관입시험과 유동적 관입시험을 실시하였는데 두 방법은 모두 합 리적이고 실용성이 있었다. 특히 실험을 통하여 얻은 결론에 따르면 점토질이 많은 흙이나 실트 질 흙 모두에 대해서 함수비가 액성한계의 두배보다 적어지면 강도가 급격히 증가하는 반면,소 성지수의 경우 소성지수로 정규화한 함수비값이 실트는 10, 점토는 5이하가 되면서 소성지수로 정규화한 함수비값의 강도가 급격히 증가함을 알 수 있었다.

  • 본 논문에서는 전기장 강도에 따라 댐핑력 조율이 가능한 ER댐퍼를 이용하여 유연구조물의 진동제어를 수행하였다. 아라빅 검 ER유체를 자체 조성한 후 전단 모드하에서의 빙햄모델을 실험적으로 도출하고, 이를 근거로 알맞은 크기의 ER댐퍼를 설계제작하였다. ER댐퍼를 장착한 양단고정형 유연구조물시스템을 구성하고, 제어기 설계를 위한 운동지배 방정식과 경계조건을 도출하였다. 시스템변수중 실제시스템에서 쉽게 발생할 수 있는 고유진동수와 감쇠비를 불확실 변수로 고려하여 슬라이딩모드 제어기를 설계하였다. 정현파와 랜덤가진에 대한 제안된 제어시스템의 우수한 진동제어 효과를 컴퓨터 시뮬레이션과 실험을 통하여 입증하였다.

  • Recently MR CDC damper has been applied to semi-active suspension control system gradually. Compared to former hydraulic CDC damper, it has rapid time response performance as well as simple internal structure and wide range of damping force. In order to develop control logic algorithm which enables to take maximum advantage of unique characteristics of MR CDC damper, it is inevitable to perform a thorough investigation into its nonlinear performance. In many previous researches, MR fluid model was either simply assumed as Bingham Plastic, or a phenomenological model based on experiment was established instead to predict damping performance of MR CDC damper. These experimental flow model which is not based on flow analysis but intentionally built to fit damping characteristics, may lead to totally different results in case of different configuration or structure of MR CDC damper. In this study, a generalized flow formula from mathematical flow model of MR fluid for annular orifice is derived to analyze and predict damping characteristics when current is excited at piston valve.

전기유변유체를 동작매체로 하는 실험용 토크 전달장치 제작 및 성능평가 (Construction and Evaluation of an Experimental Type Torque Converter by Adapting an Electrorheological Fluid as an Operating Medium)

  • In this work, an experimental type of torque converter has been constructed and its characteristics have been evaluated by adapting an electrorheological fluid(ERF) as an operating medium. The device was designed by using the equations which were proposed by Carlson et al. The correlation between the rheological behaviour of an ERF and mechanical parameters of the clutch has been investigated. The torque generated by an ERF in this device is sum of one due to the yield strength by polarizing dispersed particles in dielectric oil and one due to the viscous drag. The experimental results are presented in terms of torque and current density as a function of rotational speed at various electric field strength applied. Experimental results showed that the measured torque was rapidly increased with the increase of the electric field, generally being proportional to the rotational speed of the motor. The measured current was shown to be increased with the increased electric field. Also, the current was decreased with the increase of increased with the increased electric field. Also, the current was decreased with the increase of the rotational speed of the motor and reached plateau region after f = 5 Hz.
