4차 산업혁명 시대에 적합한 빅데이터 대학 교육과정 연구 (Research on big data curriculum in university suitable for the era of the 4th industrial revolution)

  • With the development of digital technology, the industrial structure is becoming digitalize. The government selected big data as the key technology of the 4th industrial revolution. Among them, big data is widely used to create new values and services by utilizing vast amounts of information. In order to cultivate professional manpower for the use of big data, various education programs are provided at universities. We intend to develop a curriculum for systematic training of talented people who can acquire knowledge about the three stages of collection, analysis, and application of big data. To this end, subjects are classified into basic competency, technical competency, analysis competency, and business competency based on the big data competency model proposed by the Korea Internet & Security Agency.

  • Blockchain, machine learning, and big data are among the key components of the future IT track. These technologies are used in various fields; hence their increasing application. This paper discusses the technologies developed in various research fields, such as data representation, Blockchain application, 3D shape recognition and classification, query method, classification method, and search algorithm, to provide insights into the future paradigm. In this paper, we present a summary of 18 high-quality accepted articles following a rigorous review process in the fields of Blockchain, machine learning, and big data.

  • RI-Biomics는 방사성동위원소를 이용한 신약 및 물질의 흡수, 분포, 대사 및 배설(RI-ADME)과 같은 생체 내 역학을 평가하기 위한 최첨단 방사선 융합 기술이다. 현재 RI-Biomics 기술정보는 RI-Biomics 기술정보시스템인 'RIBio-Info'로 제공되고 있으며, 본 연구에서는 최근 빅 데이터 기술 동향을 검토하여 RIBio-Info의 개선사항을 도출하였다. RI Biomics 정보 시스템에서 빅데이터를 적용하기 위해 실현되어야 할 구성 요소로 자원, 기술 및 인력에 대해 각각 검토하였다. 첫째 활용할 수 있는 외부 빅데이터를 찾고, 두번째로 빅데이터 활용 실현을 위한 인프라를 확충하고, 마지막으로 대용량 정보분석이 가능한 데이터 사이언티스트를 양성해야 한다. 이러한 환경 하에 비정형 대용량 데이터에 대한 다양한 분석이 가능한 원천기술이 개발될 것이며, RI-Biomics 분야의 새로운 가치를 창출할 수 있는 기반이 구축될 것이다.

Identifying Barriers to Big Data Analytics: Design-Reality Gap Analysis in Saudi Higher Education

  • The spread of cloud computing, digital computing, and the popular social media platforms have led to increased growth of data. That growth of data results in what is known as big data (BD), which seen as one of the most strategic resources. The analysis of these BD has allowed generating value from massive raw data that helps in making effective decisions and providing quality of service. With Vision 2030, Saudi Arabia seeks to invest in BD technologies, but many challenges and barriers have led to delays in adopting BD. This research paper aims to search in the state of Big Data Analytics (BDA) in Saudi higher education sector, identify the barriers by reviewing the literature, and then to apply the design-reality gap model to assess these barriers that prevent effective use of big data and highlights priority areas for action to accelerate the application of BD to comply with Vision 2030.

  • 오랜 기간 동안, 관계형 데이터베이스는 많은 기업에서 널리 사용되어왔다. 데이터베이스의 표준모형으로서, 데이터 저장과 동시성 제어에서의 뛰어난 영향에도 불구하고, 객체와 관계에서의 불일치에 있어서는 단점이 존재한다. 이러한 배경을 극복하기 위해서, 스키마가 없이도 작동하는 빅 데이터를 위한 새로운 해결책으로 NoSQL이 부각되고 있다. 본 논문에서는 관계형 데이터베이스의 장단점뿐만 아니라, 애플리케이션 데이터베이스와 통합 데이터베이스 간의 비교를 연구하려고 한다. 그리고, 빅데이터를 위한 NoSQL을 정의하고 그 특징을 살펴보겠다.

The Effect of Big Data-based Fashion Shopping Applications on App Users' Continuous Usage Intention

  • The purpose of this research is to investigate the characteristics of big data-based fashion shopping (BDFS) application, perceived usefulness, and expectation confirmation that influence the continuous usage intention of BDFS application users based on the expectation-confirmation model. A survey was conducted with female consumers in their 20s, who are living in Seoul and Incheon area and have used BDFS applications, A total of 182 responses were used for the data analysis. Five hypotheses were proposed, and regression analyses were conducted to test those hypotheses. The results indicated that the users' perceived usefulness increased with the increase of accuracy and personalization characteristics of the app and the expectation confirmation. The result suggested that it is essential to provide accurate information for users to feel useful and to develop the personalized offerings and services which can be the biggest strength of the big-data based mobile fashion store. It was also found that continuous usage intention increases with increased perceived usefulness and expectation confirmation. This result suggests that expectations can play a critical role in perceiving the usefulness of BDFS applications and the user's expectation confirmation also significantly affected the users' continuous usage intention.

Recommendation of tourist attractions based on Preferences using big data

  • This paper proposes a tourist destination recommendation application that combines a chatbot and a recommendation system. The data to be entered into the chatbot was through big data on social media. Through TEXTOM, a total of 22,701 data were collected over a one-year period from January 2022 to January 2023. Non-terms that interfere with analysis were removed through the data purification process. Using refined data, network visualization and CONCOR analysis were used to identify the information users want to obtain about travel to Jeju Island, and categories for each cluster were organized. The content was intuitively organized so that even those who approached it for the first time could easily use it, reducing the difficulty of operating the application. In this paper, users can select their own preferences and receive information. In addition, a tool called a chatbot allows users to focus more on the process of acquiring information by gaining a sense of reality while operating the application. This suggests an application that can reach the purpose of the curator by affecting the user's desire to visit tourist attractions.

  • 빅데이터는 이제 더 이상 미래 혁신의 아이콘이 아니라 인류가 당면한 과제를 해결하기 위한 하나의 수단으로써 공고히 자리매김해 가고 있다. 빅데이터의 활용과 개인정보 보호는 분명 양면성을 갖고 있다. 데이터의 활용을 강조할 경우 개인이 공개를 원하지 않는 사생활은 필연적으로 침해 될 것이고, 개인정보 보호를 강조할 경우 어설픈 수준의 빅데이터 연구만 가능해 공공의 목적을 달성 하는데 어려움을 겪을 수 있다. 본 연구에서는 개인정보 침해의 문제점을 알아보고 빅데이터의 활용과 개인정보의 보호를 하기 위해서 취합하는 빅데이터를 익명화하는 방안을 제시하였다. 이를통해 빅데이터 활용 뿐만 아니라 개인정보 침해의 문제점을 해결할 수 있을 것으로 보인다.

  • The purpose of this study is to prove that new values for the agricultural food area can be created by combining various big data collected in the agricultural food area and analyzing them in an appropriate analysis method. For this, the analysis techniques generally used were studied, and the use of the big data in the various areas of the current society was explored through practical application instances. In addition, by the current status and analysis instances of the big data use in the agricultural food area, this study was conducted to verify how the new values found were being used.

  • It is essential that firm makes a rational and scientific decision making and creates a news value for the future direction. To do so, many firms attempt to collect meaningful data and find the filtered and refined implication for the better customer relationship and the active market drive through the various analytic tools. Among the possible IT solutions, utilization of 'Big Data' is becoming more attractive and necessary in such a way that it would help firms obtain the systemized and demanding information and facilitate their decision making process to keep up with the market needs. In this paper, it introduces the concepts and development of 'Big Data' recognized as a IT resource and solution under the rapidly changing firm environment. This study also presents the several firm cases using Big Data' and the Oracle's total data management and analytic solutions in order to support the application of 'Big Data'. Finally this paper provides a holistic viewpoint and realistic approach on use of 'Big Data' to create a new value.
