Application of Differential Evolution to Dynamic Economic Dispatch Problem with Transmission Losses under Various Bidding Strategies in Electricity Markets

  • This paper presents the application of Differential Evolution (DE) algorithm to obtain a solution for Bid Based Dynamic Economic Dispatch (BBDED) problem including the transmission losses and to maximize the social profit in a deregulated power system. The IEEE-30 bus test system with six generators, two customers and two trading periods are considered under various bidding strategies in a day-ahead electricity market. By matching the bids received from supplying and distributing entities, the Independent System Operator (ISO) maximize the social profit, (with the choices available). The simulation results of DE are compared with the results of Particle swarm optimization (PSO). The results demonstrate the potential of DE algorithm and show its effectiveness to solve BBDED.

단기시장모형 해석을 위한 전력시장가격 시뮬레이터(EMPS) 개발 (Development of Electricity Market Price Simulator(EMPS) for short term electricity market)

  • As the circumstance of the traditional system is changed according to power system deregulation, the simulation tool which should reflect market code providing market operating mechanism is needed to analyze an electricity market. This paper presents the development of Electricity Market Price Simulator for short term(EMPS) that is designed to imitate the Korean electricity market. The EMPS is developed in VB.NET and is composed if three functions that consist of calculating SMP for CBP market, MCP for TWBF market and LMP for LMP-market. To evidence the features and the performance of EMPS, a small two way bidding market with 12-bus system, one way bidding market for generator competition and LMP market with 5-bus system will be presented for the electricity market simulations using EMPS.

투찰률을 통한 국내 건설업체들의 입찰행태에 대한 이해 (An Understanding of Domestic Construction Clients' Tender Behavior)

  • 적정한 낙찰률을 유도하는 제도의 수립은 시설물의 품질보장과 기업의 합리적인 이윤추구를 위해 매우 중요하다. 하지만 과거 낙찰제도의 변화와 최근 사례를 통해 덤핑이나 고가낙찰 등이 남아있어 부실공사, 기업의 적자 또는 세금낭비 등을 유발하고 있는 것을 볼 수 있다. 본 연구는 낙찰률 형성의 배경을 파악하고 기업의 입찰행태에 대한 이해를 증진하기 위해 실제 입찰시장의 데이터를 분석하였다. 투찰률에 각 변수가 주는 영향을 파악하기 위하여 다중회귀분석을 실시하였다. 특히 기업규모를 세분화하여 분석함으로써 기업규모별 상이한 투찰행태를 함께 확인하고자 하였다. 그 결과 사업규모의 경우 모든 기업규모에서 투찰률과 양의 상관관계를 보였으나 연간발주규모, 시공능력평가액의 경우 중소기업과 대기업이 투찰률에 대하여 서로 상반되는 상관관계를 보였다. 본 연구의 결과를 통해 제시된 여러 변수들이 기업이 입찰행위를 함에 있어서 실질적으로 영향을 미치고 있다는 것과 같은 변수라도 기업규모에 따라 투찰률에 영향을 주지않거나 각기 다른 상관관계를 보임을 알 수 있었다.

공동주택 관리업체 선정방식의 문제점과 개선방안 (The Problems and Improvement Methods of Apartment Management Company Selection System)

  • As the construction of multi-family housings, especially apartments, has been increased since 1970s, the multi-family housing becomes one of the main housing types in Korea. With the increase of multi-family housings, managing them becomes an important issue. Since 2010, the government has made a lowest price award system by a competitive bid compulsory to promote the development of housing management systems. Although competitive bids were implemented, the maintenance company was finally selected by the price without any other consideration. Consequently, the quality of management service was not enhanced. The purpose of this study is to suggest the improvement scheme of multi-family housing management system. In this study, the bidding data of "K-apt", the bidding method and the successful tendered price are analyzed. The results of analyzing bidding materials, the proportion of applying a lowest price system was 67.7%. Also many diverse ways to select the best management company were used, but most of these ways were violate the law and guidelines of Ministry of Land, Transport and Maritime Affairs. It meant that the lowest price award system was not implemented by strict standards and didn't correspond with the needs of residents of apartment. This condition made the housing maintenance quality low and deteriorated the management industry development. To enhance this condition, a new standard to select the management company, which are included contents of quality of managing quality, management expenses and companies' soundness, is necessary.

MultiHammer: A Virtual Auction System based on Information Agents

  • In this paper, we propose a virtual action system based on information agents, We call the system the MultiHammer, MultiHammer can be used for studying and analyzing online actions. MuiltiHammer provides functions of implement-ing a meta online action site and an experiment environ-ment. We have been using MultiHammer as an experiment as an experiment environment for BiddinBot. BiddingBot aims at assisting users to bid simultaneously in multiple online auctions. In order to bid simultaneously in multiple online auctions. In order to analyze the behavior of BiddngBot, we need to pur-chase a lot of items. It is hard for us to prepare a lot of fund to show usability and advantage of BiddingBot. MultiHam-mer enables us to effectively analyze the behavior of BiddingBot. MultiHammer consists of three types of agents for information collecting data storing and auctioning. Agents for information wrappers. To make agent work as wrarp-pers, we heed to realize software modules for each online action site. Implementing these modules reguires a lot of time and patience. To address this problem, we designed a support mechanism for developing the modules. Agents for data storing record the data gathered by agents for informa-tion collecting. Agents for auctioning provide online services using data recorded by agents for data storing. By recording the activities in auction sites. MultiHammer can recreate any situation and trace auction for experimentation, Users can participate in virtual using the same information in real online auctions. Users also participate in real auc-tions via wrapper agents for information collecting

정보 제공 에이전트를 이용한 실시간 경매 시스템 설계 및 구현 (Design and Implementation of a realtime Auction System using information providing agent)

  • Along with the rapid emergence of the Internet and e-commerce, online auctions are hitting the spotlights. The inconveniences found in off-line auctions, such as time and place restriction and limited number of items, are solved in the online auction. However, not so many auction sites have integrated auction information systems, which monitor the present status of auctions, resulting in greater inconvenience for the online auction users. Moreover, there is no auction site that suggests the appropriate starting or closing price that is useful for users when they make, their bids, What the online auction users need is an auction system that can solve such problems. This study is purported for solving the problems by designing and implementing a real time auction system that applies the comparison search functions and the agent functions. In other words, an integrated database system using a bidder-oriented agent for providing information is built so that the users can search and compare the information on the item they are interested in and make a faster and more accurate purchase. Also the appropriate starting and closing prices are offered to the sellers and bidders through the integrated system for a closer and more accurate comparison and analysis of the prices. For future work, the product recommendation service, which accurately reflects the bidding patterns, and the methods for studying the multi bidding pattern will be applied to the suggested system to realize a real time auction information system that supports CRM(Customer Relationship Management) .

융복합시대 설계의 경제성 등 검토(VE) 발주 및 입찰시 문제점과 개선방안에 관한 연구 (Improvements for Ordering and Bidding of VE in Convergence Era)

  • 본 연구에서 전문가 집단을 대상으로 조사하여 실증 분석한 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 직급과 수의계약 입찰 방식 문제점 간에는 분포의 차이가 없는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 직급과 현행 설계VE 발주 방식 적절성 간에는 분포의 차이가 있는 것으로 나타나, 현행 설계VE 발주방식 적절성이 직급 간에는 관련성이 있어 인식을 다르게 하는것으로 분석 되었다. 셋째, 소속기관과 현행 설계VE 발주방식 적절성간에는 분포의 차이가 없는것으로 나타났다. 넷째, 소속기관과 용역대가 적절성간에는 분포의 차이가 있는것으로 나타났으며, 소속기관들이 용역대가 적절성을 상호 인식하는데는 소속기관별로 인식의 차이가 있는 것으로 분석되었다. 다섯째, 경력과 참여업체 자격 필요성간에는 분포의 차이가 있는것으로 나타났다. 여섯째, 경력과 참여업체 제한조건 적절성은 분포의 차이가 있는것으로 나타났다. 따라서 수의계약 입찰방식과 용역적정 수행기간에서는 문제점이 나타나지 않았으나, 용역대가 적절성, 참여업체 자격 필요성, 참여업체 제한조건은 구체적으로 관련성이 있는것으로 나타났다.

Development of an Integrated Power Market Simulator for the Korean Electricity Market

  • At present, the Korean electricity industry is undergoing restructuring and the Cost Based-generation Pool (CBP) market is being operated in preparation of a Two Way Bidding Pool (TWBP) market. In deregulated electricity industries, an integrated power market simulator is one of the tools that can be used by market participants and market operators analyzing market behaviors and studying market structures and market codes. In this regard, it is very important to develop an electricity market simulator that reflects market code providing a market operation mechanism. This paper presents the development of an integrated market simulator, called the Power Exchange Simulator (PEXSIM), which is designed to imitate the Korean electricity market considering the various features of the market operating mechanism such as uniform price and constrained on/off payment. The PEXSIM is developed in VB.NET and composed of five modules whose titles are M-SIM, P-SIM, O-SIM, T-SIM and G-SIM interfacing the Access database program. To verify the features and the performance of the PEXSIM, a small Two Way bidding market with a 12-bus system and a One Way bidding market for generator competition will be presented for the electricity market simulations using PEXSIM.

시공평가제도의 효과적 운영방안 -대한주택공사 제도를 중심으로 (An Enhanced Operating Scheme of Evaluation System for Construction Works -Focused on the KNHC System)

  • 시공평가제도는 시공자가 수행한 시공 성과물의 시공 결과를 평가하여 이를 토대로 우대 및 제재를 가함으로써 시공자의 공사관리능력 향상과 기술개발을 유도하기 위한 목적으로 운영되는 제도이다. 또한 평가 결과를 적격업체 선정 절차에 반영하여 우수한 건설업자가 선정되도록 유도하는 것이 목적이다. 그러나 현재 시공평가는 자체적으로 내포하고 있는 문제점과 적격업체 선정에 대한 영향력이 미흡하여 그 본래의 목적을 달성하지 못하는 것이 현실이다. 이에 본 연구는 대한주택공사의 시공평가를 사례로 선택하여 전문가를 대상으로 면담조사를 수행하여 문제점을 도출하였으며 이를 분석하여 문제점을 해결할 수 있는 개선방안을 제시하였다.
