The purpose of this study was (1) to identify the experimental bias which could appear person perception as results of development methods (2) to find out the most desirable method in developments of stimulus. The research was a quasi experiment and the subjects were 358 male and female undergraduate students by convenient sampling. The experimental instruments consisted of a set of stimulus and semantic differential scales of 7-point bi-polar adjectives. The collected data were analyzed by Principle Component Analysis, ANOVA(analysis of variance), Scheffe's multiple range test. The independent variables were developing methods of stimulus(live person, photography of real person, 2 kinds of black and white line drawing, 2 kinds of color drawing). The results were as follows. First, five factors which were potency, sociality, appearance, evaluation, activity impressional dimensions emerged to account for the methods of development of stimulus. Second, the methods of development of stimulus had significant effects on potency, sociality, appearance, activity factors. In sociality factors, the impression of photographic stimulus was the closest to the live person's impression. However in the appearance and activity impressions, significant difference existed between live person and other developing stimulus. In the potency impression, black and white line-drawing gave the highest impressional bias. In the sociability and appearance impressions, color-drawing stimulus gave the highest impressional bias. Result: On conclusion the developments of stimulus can effect on stimulus person's impressions and these effects can produce experimental biases, the photographic stimulus gave the least impressional bias. The study shows that photography of real person will produce minimize measurement error.

Polymers submitted to thermo/electrical stress suffer from ageing that can drastically affect their functional behaviour. Understanding the physico/chemical processes at play during ageing and defining transport regimes in which these mechanisms start to be critical is therefore a prime goal to prevent degradation and to develop new formulation or new materials with improved properties. It is thought that a way to define these critical regimes is to investigate under which conditions (in terms of stress parameters) light is generated in the material by electroluminescence (EL). This can happen through impact excitation/ionization involving hot carriers or upon bi-polar charge recombination (a definition that excludes light from partial discharges, which would sign an advanced stage in the degradation process). After a brief review of the EL phenomenology under DC, we introduce a numerical model of charge transport postulating a recombination controlled electroluminescence. The model output is critically evaluated with special emphasize on the comparison between simulated and experimental light emission. Finally, we comment some open questions and perspectives.
There have been various approaches for efficiency improvement of a Darrieus tidal stream turbine after it was introduced as an alternative of horizontal axis turbines. Among the approaches, the researches on the interaction effect of dual configuration were conducted. In this study, a dual Darrieus turbine with a coupling mechanism was proposed for investigating the interaction effect. Also, the effect of bi-directional tidal stream was analyzed with prototype fabrication, apparatus set-up and experiment conduction in indoor and offshore facilities. As the results of the experiments, the dual turbine in case of counter-rotation and inflow between the turbines improved efficiencies by 9.5% and 11.31%, respectively, as compared to the single turbine. Also, the dual turbine in case of the inflow improved efficiencies by 9.4% and 16.62%, respectively, as compared to that in case of outflow between the turbines which represented the case of 180 degrees change of flow direction after slack water. Therefore, the proposed dual turbine showed the advantage in terms of the efficiency as compared to the single turbine and the effect level of the slack water on the performance of the dual turbine was investigated.

The purpose of this study was to find out the various impressions that tone-on-tone coloration of shirts and ties gives. This experiment was based on the $2{\times}4{\times}4{\times}2$ factorial design: colors(red and blue), shirt tones(vivid, light, dull, and dark); tie tones(vivid, light, dull, and dark) and perceivers' gender(male and female). The materials in the experiment developed for this study were composed of 32 upper body photographs which were color printed and 27 bi-polar adjectives, each of which was graded into seven in its degree, were used to evaluate the impression. We unified those colors of shirts and neckties, and then made shirt and necktie tone different. The subjects of this research were 192 male and 192 female college students in Gyeongnam province including Jinju City The data was analyzed by using SPSS program. Analyzing methods were one-way ANOVA and LSD test. The items of the adjectives were classified into 5 impression dimensions - potency, activity, attractiveness, visibility and tenderness. All the image by the match of shirt and tie could be possible to make various images by the color, the shirt tone and the tie tone. Blue was given more effective potent image, vivid or light tone shirt in blue was the active image. As shirt and tie had different tone, regarded as the attractive image. Vivid tone tie was evaluated the visible image, light tone shirt is the tend image.

The purpose of this study is to investigate the effect of color, shirt tone, tie tone, perceiver's gender on impression formation by applying tone on tone coloration of shirt and necktie: coloration of two colors. The experimental materials developed for this study were a set of stimulus and response scales. The stimuli were 32 upper body photographs which were color outputs by CAD system(4D-box program). We unified those colors of shirts and neckties same, then made shirt and necktie tone differently. 27 bi-polar adjectives, each of which was graded into seven in its degree, were used to evaluate the impression. The subjects of this research were 192 male and 192 female college students in Gyeongnam province including Jinju City. The data was analyzed by using SPSS program. Analysis methods were four-way ANOVA. The items of the adjectives were classified into 5 impression dimension. - potency, activity, attractiveness, visibility and tenderness. Color, shirt tone, tie tone, and perceiver gender influenced on 5 impression formation by interaction as well as independently. Blue tie with vivid, light or dull tone had an effect on the formation of potency impression, vivid or light tone of shirt affected activity regardless of color or tie tone. As shirt and tie had different tone, effect on the formation of attractiveness impression, light tone had a negative effect on visibility but positive effect on tenderness. red color were more effective than blue expressed on visibility and tenderness in shirt or tie.

The purpose of this study were 1) to find out impression dimensions of the dress wearer with various motifs 2) to evaluate the impression effects of motifs in Korean traditional dress for women. The research method was a quasi-experimental with the between subjects design. The experimental materials developed for the study were a set of stimuli and response scale. The stimuli were consisted of 12 drawings with full factorial design of 3 independent variables : motif sorts (2:flower animal) motif types(2: realistic stylized) motif arrangements(3: all over the traditional to modern) The stimuli consisted of color photographs and color of clothing and motifs was controlled the blue. The response scales were consisted of 30 bi-polar adjectives. The subjects were 333 undergraduate college students of Taejon. The data was analyzed by factor analysis MANOVA and Duncan's multiple range test. Results were as follows: 1. The wearer's impression were consisted of the 3 different dimensions : attractiveness · dignity dimension. Interaction effect among motif sorts motif types and motif arrangements was significant on the same dimension. Interaction effect between motif sorts and motif arrangements was significant on the visibility dimension. 3. The motif arrangements were a significant variable on the attractiveness·dignity and the evaluation dimension. The traditional arrangement and the modern arrangement showed more faborable impression and the all over arrangement showed less favorable impression on the attractiveness·dignity dimension. The all over arrangement showed positive impression on the evaluation dimension and the traditional arrangement and the modern arrangement showed negative impression on the same dimension. There were no significant difference between flower sort and animal sort and also no significant difference between realistic type and stylized type in their impression effects.
The purpose of this study is to find out the various impressions that tone-on-tone coloration of shirts and ties gives. This experiment was based on the $2\times4\times4\times2$ factorial designs; colors (purple and green), shirt tones (vivid, light, dull, and dark), tie tones (vivid, light, dull, and dark) and perceivers' genders (male and female). The materials in the experiment developed for this study were composed of various stimuli and the response scales for each stimulus. The stimuli were 32 upper body photographs, which were color printed by CAD system (4D-box program). The purpose of this study was to provide the guidance in more objective and proper clothing design and a strategy of fashion marketing from consumer sensibilities about adult women's town wear in un-limited circumstance. The specific objectives were 1) to investigate relationship between fashion sensibility and consumer sensibility of Good and Bad women's town wear, 2) to compare fashion sensibility with consumer sensibility of Good and Bad women's town wear, and 3) to investigate a dimension of Good and Bad women's town wear in fashion sensibility. Because they can affect estimators, the collected photos at shopping mall, department stores, and churches (S/S, F/W: April 28, 2004~May 1, 2005) were prepared removing face and background and attached on gray board. To investigate consumer sensibilities, the stimulus were 80 photos (40 for 'good', 40 for 'Bad'). The questionnaire consisted of bi-polar 25 pairs adjective scale of consumer sensibility was distributed 600 female (20's~40's) living in Busan (June 28, 2005~July 11, 2005). The data were analyzed by ANOVA, Regression analysis, and MDS. The results of practical study are summarized as follows. Fashion sensibility on the preference in Good and Bad women's town wear is closely related in 'want to buy-do not want to buy' and buying need is 'like-dislike'. For the fashion sensibility dimension at Good women's town wear, X axis showed from Young to Adult and Y axis showed from Hard to Comfortable following positioned design characters. For the fashion sensibilities dimension at Bad women's town wear, X axis showed from Young to Adult, Y axis showed from Normal to Unique, and Z axis showed from Heavy to Light following positioned design characters.
The purpose of this study(Part I) was to provide the guidance in more objective and proper clothing design and wearing rule to make good image making by analysis of fashion sensibilities about adult women's town wear in unlimited circumstance. The specific objectives were; 1)to investigate about fashion sensibility of women's town wear at season 2)to investigate about fashion sensibilities of women's town wear of properties which are age, marriage or not, job, average income per month, and schooling. 3)to compare fashion sensibility between Good and Bad women's town wear. The collected photos at shopping mall, department stores, and churches(S/S, F/W:2004.4.28~2005.5.1) were prepared removing face and background that can affect in estimator and attached on gray board. To investigate fashion sensibilities, the stimulus were 80 photos('good':40, 'Bad':40). The questionnaire consisted of bi-polar 25 pairs adjective scale of fashion sensibilities was distributed 60 female(20's~40's) living in Busan. The data were analyzed by t-test, ANOVA, and Scheffe. The results of this study are summarized as follows; For fashion sensibilities at 'Good' and 'Bad' wear, the variances(season, age, marriage or not, job, average income per month, and schooling) are important. Especially, the fashion sensibility at 30's women are very unique and importance age zone to catch both young women's fashion sensibility and old women's fashion sensibility, Through that age zone, we could read women's various fashion sensibility and prospect complicate consumers' fashion mind. This study result will be utilized in the clothing design for target age zone of women's town wear, database of wearing rule and good image making, and planning fashion marketing strategies.
A series of aromatic poly(hydroxyamide)s (PHAs) containing varying oligo(oxyethylene) substituents and 1,3-phenylene imide ring unit in the main chain were synthesized by the direct polycondensation reaction. The inherent viscosities of the PHAs exhibited in the range of 0.89~1.12 dL/g in DMAc or DMAc/LiCl solution. The PH-2~5 copolymers were easily soluble in strong aprotic solvents: DMAc, NMP, DMSO etc. and the PH-5 copolymer was soluble in less polar solvents such as m-creasol and pyridine with LiCl salt on heating. However, all PBOs were quite insoluble in other solvents, but only partially soluble in sulfuric acid. All copolymers (PH-2~5) could afford the flexible and tough films by solution casting. We identified that the PHAs were converted to the PBOs by the thermal cyclization reaction in the range of $200{\sim}380^{\circ}C$. The 10% weight loss temperatures and char yields of the PBOs were recorded in the range of $382{\sim}647^{\circ}C$ and 38.7~73.1% values at $900^{\circ}C$. The tensile strength and initial modulus of the PH-5 in the copolmers showed the highest values of 2.46 GPa and 49.55 MPa, respectively. The LOI values of the PHAs were in the range 26.6~29.0%, and increased with increasing 1,3-phenylene imide ring unit.
