일부 군인의 구강건강상태인식과 구강증상의 관련성 (Relationship between Perceived Oral Health Status and Oral Health Related Symptoms among the Korean Soldiers)

  • 본 연구는 일부 군인의 구강건강상태인식과 구강증상의 관련성을 파악하여 추후 군인들의 구강건강향상과 삶의 질 증진에 기초자료로 활용하고자 하였다. 연구의 취지를 설명하여 참여를 희망하는 군인 263명을 대상으로 자기기입식 설문조사를 수행하였다. 수집된 자료는 연구대상자의 일반적인 특성에 대해 빈도분석을 실시하였고, 일반적인 특성과 구강건강상태인식을 교차분석 하였으며, 구강증상이 구강건강상태인식에 미치는 영향을 파악하기 위해 회귀분석을 실시하였다. 그 결과, '건강하지 않음'은 29.7%, '보통'은 52.9%, '건강함'은 17.5%로 나타났다. 구강건강상태인식에 영향을 주는 증상으로는 '치아가 아프다(${\beta}=0.262$)', '잇몸에서 피가 난다(${\beta}=0.170$)'인 것으로 나타났다. 앞으로 군인들에게 지속적인 구강보건교육을 실시하여 군인들이 구강건강에 관심을 가질 동기부여의 기회를 제공하고, 또한 구강건강에 대한 긍정적인 태도를 갖게 함으로써 구강건강에 대한 지식과 인식도를 높여야 할 것이다.

치위생과 학생의 비판적 사고성향과 문제해결능력에 관한 연구 (A study on the critical thinking and problem-solving abilities of dental hygiene students)

  • Objectives: The purpose of the study was to investigate the correlation between critical thinking and problem-solving abilities in dental hygiene students. Methods: This is a cross-sectional study. A self-reported questionnaire was completed by 386 dental hygiene students enrolled in Gwangju Health university from August 30, 2017 to September 2, 2017. The general characteristics of the subjects, their critical thinking and problem-solving abilities were measured for the study. The tool to measure critical thinking was adapted from Yoon which had a Cronbach' alpha of 0.77. The tool for problem-solving ability was adapted from that used in Heppner & Petersen, which had a Cronbach' alpha of 0.77. The collected data are analyzed using ANOVA, Pearson's Correlation analysis, and multiple regression using SPSS/Win 18.0 program. Results: The results show that critical thinking scored 3.45 while problem solving ability scored 3.20. The correlation between critical thinking and problem-solving abilities was found to be strong. The strongest positive correlation in problem-solving ability was critical thinking (p<0.001). The multiple regression analysis suggests that the factors affecting problem solving ability of the subjects was statistically significant. The significant variables included critical thinking (${\beta}=0.440$) (p<0.001), satisfaction with one's major (${\beta}=0.108$) (p<0.05), interpersonal relationships (${\beta}=0.104$) (p<0.05) and academic performance (${\beta}=0.086$) (p<0.05) with an explanatory power of 38.3%. Conclusions: It is necessary to develop a curriculum and learning method for critical thinking and problem-solving abilities in the dental hygiene students.

프리셉터의 변혁적 리더십이 신규간호사의 업무스트레스와 업무성과에 미치는 영향 (The Effects of Preceptors' Transformational Leadership on Job Stress and Clinical Performance among New Graduate Nurses)

  • Objective : The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of preceptors' transformational leadership on job stress and clinical performance among new graduate nurses. Methods : The study subjects were 180 new nurses in three University Hospitals. General characteristics, leadership, job stress and clinical performance were collected using self-reported questionnaires. Transformational leadership consisted of charisma, intellectual stimulation and individual consideration. T-test, ANOVA, pearson correlation and multiple regression analysis were performed to access the effect of leadership on job stress and clinical performance. Results : Of 180 subjects, 94.4% were female. The mean scores of transformational leadership, charisma, intellectual stimulation and individual consideration were $3.9{\pm}.46$, $3.9{\pm}.46$, $3.9{\pm}.57$ and $4.0{\pm}.58$, respectively. In multiple regression analysis, overall transformational leadership(${\beta}$=.154, p=.006) and charisma(${\beta}$=.388, p=.008) significantly increased the job stress. On the other hand, individual consideration significantly decreased the job stress (${\beta}$=-.671, p=.048) and increased the clinical performance(${\beta}$=2.472, p=.024). Conclusions : Charisma of preceptors was associated with the increase of job stress, and individual consideration was associated with the decrease of job stress and improvement of clinical performance. Therefore, the preceptors' leadership focusing on individual consideration rather than charisma may reduce job stress and improve clinical performance in the University hospital organization.

금연 하고자 하는 대학생의 흡연동기, 흡연행동, 스트레스, 금연자기효능이 건강증진행위에 미치는 영향 (Effects of Smoking Motivation, Smoking Behavior, Stress, and Self-Efficacy for Smoking Cessation on Health Promoting Behaviors of College Students)

  • Purpose : The purpose of this study was to investigate the relationship between smoking status, stress, self-efficacy for smoking cessation and the health promoting behaviors of students who want to quit smoking. Methods : Data was collected in 2018 from 143 college students (101 males and 42 females) who were enrolled in the health clinic of N university. The average age was 21.95 years. Multiple regression analysis and Pearson's correlation coefficient were used to analyzed the factors affecting health promoting behavior and the correlations between variables. Results : There were statistically significant correlations between stress and the following factors: smoking motivation (r=.323, p<.001), smoking behavior (r=.329, p<.001), and health promoting behaviors (r=-.312, p=.006). There were statistically significant correlations between Self-efficacy for smoking cessation and following factors: smoking motivation (r=-.278, p<.01), smoking behaviors (r=-.313, p<.001), and stress (r=-.324, p<.001). Health promoting behaviors were negatively correlated with smoking motivation (r=-.345, p<.05), smoking behaviors (r=-.312, p<.01), and stress (r=-.265, p<.001). Self-efficacy for smoking cessation was positively correlated with health-promoting behaviors (r=.421, p<.001). Multiple regression analysis revealed that the following factors exert a significant influence on health promoting behaviors: smoking motivation (${\beta}=-.376$, p=.001), smoking behaviors (${\beta}=-.233$, p=.008), stress (${\beta}=-.278$, p=.006), and self-efficacy for smoking cessation (${\beta}=.403$, p=.000). Conclusion : The results of this study suggest that it is important to provide basic data for the development of a program for the health-promoting behaviors of university students who want to quit smoking a smoking cessation clinic at the university health clinic. However, since only some college students were included in the study, there are limitations in generalizing the results.

간호대학생의 실습소진에 미치는 영향요인 (Factors Influencing Clinical Practice Burnout in Student Nurses)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to explore perception of the clinical learning environment, resilience and perfectionism in relation to practice burnout and to identify factors influencing practice burnout in student nurses. Methods: A descriptive correlational study was conducted. The participants were 313 student nurses from three universities in B and U city. Data were analyzed using t-test, ANOVA, Pearson correlation coefficient, $Scheff{\acute{e}}s$ test and multiple regression analysis. Results: Mean score for practice burnout in student nurses was 2.92 out of 5 points. Practice burnout explained 44.7% of the variance in perfectionism (${\beta}=.245$, p<.001), satisfaction with college life (${\beta}=.232$, p<.001), resilience (${\beta}=-.228$, p<.001), clinical learning environment (${\beta}=-.193$, p<.001), satisfaction with major (${\beta}=.180$, p=.001), practical relationships with peers (${\beta}=.128$, p=.005), and satisfaction with clinical practice (${\beta}=.124$, p=.039). Conclusion: Research results suggest that the important variable for student nurses' practice burnout is perfectionism. Therefore education is needed to develop strategies to manage perfectionism and reduce practice burnout.

간호대학생의 자기효능감, 진로의사결정 유형과 진로결정수준 관계 (The Relationship among Self-Efficacy, Career Decision Making Types and Career Decision Level of Nursing Students)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to contribute to career counseling and career guidance for nursing students by examining students' career decision-making styles and career decision levels and the relationship between self-efficacy and career decision-making styles and career decision levels. Methods: A descriptive survey design was used and data were collected using questionnaires from a sample of 469 nursing students. The data were analyzed using frequencies means, Kruskal-Wallis test, Pearson correlation coefficient, and multiple regression analysis with SPSS 21.0. Results: Career decision level had a significant correlation with self-efficacy and decision-making styles. Self-efficacy (${\beta}=.143$, p<.001), type of decision-making styles rational type (${\beta}=.180$, p<.001), intuitive type (${\beta}=.137$, p<.001), dependent type (${\beta}=-.236$, p<.001) and sex (${\beta}=-.086$, p=.023), school grades (${\beta}=.086$, p=.033), and satisfaction of nursing major (${\beta}=.209$, p<.001) were significant predictors of career decision level. Conclusion: It is necessary to develop effective career support programs according to type of decision-making styles, sex, school grades, motivation to improve nursing students' self-efficacy and satisfaction in the nursing major.

보건관리자의 ADDIE 모형 활용정도와 셀프 리더십이 직무성과에 미치는 영향 (Influence of the Educational Planning Model(ADDIE) Utilization and Self-Leadership on Work Performance among Occupational Health Managers)

  • Objectives: This study was conducted to examine the effect of the utilization of the educational planning model (ADDIE) and self-leadership of occupational health managers (OHM) on work performance. Methods: The sample of this study was 180 OHM with over six months of experience, who attended continuing education by the Korean Academic Society of Occupational Health Nursing. Data were collected from April to June 2019 and analyzed using frequency analysis, t-test, F-test, Pearson's correlation analysis, and multiple regression analysis through SPSS Program Ver. 23. Results: According to the results of multiple regression analysis of the factors influencing the work performance of OHM, the model was significant and the explanatory power was 40%. Self-leadership (${\beta}=.45$, p=.001), utilization of the educational planning model (${\beta}=.20$, p<.005), and position (${\beta}=.16$, p=.024) were significant influence factors on work performance. Conclusions: To improve the work performance of OHM, a customized program needs to be developed that promotes the utilization ability of the educational planning model and a strategy of benchmarking high performers in the light of their positions. The improvement of the work performance of OHM will eventually make a contribution to the reduction of industrial disaster and occupational diseases.

패밀리레스토랑의 추가마케팅믹스가 고객의 전반적인 만족도에 미치는 영향 (The Influence of Additional Marketing-Mix on Customer's Overall Satisfacton in Family Restaurant)

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate the influence of additional marketing mix on overall satisfaction of customers at family restaurants in Seoul and Kyongki-province. In this research frequency analysis, reliability analysis, factor analysis, multiple-regression analysis were employed to analyze the data. Additional marketing mix were divided into 3 factors. Employee(${\beta}=0.352$, t(p)=7.221(0.000) had the most positive impact on overall satisfaction. And physical evidence(0.160, t(p)=3.271(0.001) and process(${\beta}=0.114$, t(p)=2.338(0.020) influenced positively(+) in order. As a result, all factors of additional marketing mix influenced significantly overall satisfaction of customers. These additional marketing mix are regarded as effective marketing tactic to reduce intangibility of food-service business. Therefore restaurant company needs to manage additional marketing mix sufficiently to maintain of customers' satisfaction at family restaurants.

일부 여성 미용종사자들의 근골격계 증상의 위험요인 (A Study on Risk Factors of Musculoskeletal Disorders among Selected Female Hair Dressers)

  • This study was designed to find the symptom prevalence rates of musculoskeletal disorders and the risk factors of musculoskeletal disorders among selected hair dressers. Methods; The survey were conducted from July 1 to 30, 2004 for 459 hair dressers working in Seoul and Gwangju using self-administration questionnaire. The risk factors on musculoskeletal disorders have analysed by multiple linear regression analysis. The results of this study are summarized as follows: The experience rate of musculoskeletal disorders symptom in the last one year was 56.4%. The experience rates of each body parts were 36.4% on the shoulders, 30.5% on the legs and the feet, 28.5% on the low back, 27.0% on the hand and the fingers, 23.3% on the neck and 17.0% on the arms and the elbows. The prevalence rate of musculoskeletal disorders symptom in the last one week was 40.5%, those of each body parts were 24.0% on the legs and the feet, 21.4% on the shoulders, 20.7% on the low back, 15.7% on the hand and the wrists, 15.0% on the neck, 9.4% on the arms. The risk factors on musculoskeletal disorders were working posture(${\beta}=0.32$), perceived stress(${\beta}=0.19$), working period(${\beta}=0.16$), standing working over 10 hour(${\beta}=0.16$), hard working(${\beta}=0.11$). The adjusted determinant coefficient($R^2$) of this regression model was 0.267. Based on the results, in order to prevent musculoskeletal disorders of hair dressers, working posture shall be improved and leisure opportunities to relieve stress, and health management program shall be provided.

Whole-body Vibration Exposure of Drill Operators in Iron Ore Mines and Role of Machine-Related, Individual, and Rock-Related Factors

  • Background: This study aimed to assess the whole-body vibration (WBV) exposure among large blast hole drill machine operators with regard to the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) recommended threshold values and its association with machine- and rock-related factors and workers' individual characteristics. Methods: The study population included 28 drill machine operators who had worked in four opencast iron ore mines in eastern India. The study protocol comprised the following: measurements of WBV exposure [frequency weighted root mean square (RMS) acceleration ($m/s^2$)], machine-related data (manufacturer of machine, age of machine, seat height, thickness, and rest height) collected from mine management offices, measurements of rock hardness, uniaxial compressive strength and density, and workers' characteristics via face-to-face interviews. Results: More than 90% of the operators were exposed to a higher level WBV than the ISO upper limit and only 3.6% between the lower and upper limits, mainly in the vertical axis. Bivariate correlations revealed that potential predictors of total WBV exposure were: machine manufacturer (r = 0.453, p = 0.015), age of drill (r = 0.533, p = 0.003), and hardness of rock (r = 0.561, p = 0.002). The stepwise multiple regression model revealed that the potential predictors are age of operator (regression coefficient ${\beta}=-0.052$, standard error SE = 0.023), manufacturer (${\beta}=1.093$, SE = 0.227), rock hardness (${\beta}=0.045$, SE = 0.018), uniaxial compressive strength (${\beta}=0.027$, SE = 0.009), and density (${\beta}=-1.135$, SE = 0.235). Conclusion: Prevention should include using appropriate machines to handle rock hardness, rock uniaxial compressive strength and density, and seat improvement using ergonomic approaches such as including a suspension system.
