  • This study examines how literary experiences cultivate environmental sensitivity. In this study we have 3 children(6th graders) to experience 3 selected literary works. The experience of 3 children focusing on characters is divided into 'sympathy', 'identification' and 'hostility' by empathy types. In literary experiences, children naturally support the values pursued by main characters. The experience focusing on plot events is consists of 'sympathy' and 'advice'. The children agreed with the way how the characters solved environmental issues while involved in the events by offering advice to characters whose actions they did not agree to. The experience focusing on topics is divided into 'assimilation' and 'reflection'. The children experienced the assimilation process. Furthermore, they reflected on new environmental issues. This result suggests literary experience subserve children to reflect value through empathy and cultivate their intention toward pro-environmental behavior by generating environmental sensitivity.

  • The purpose of this study was to examine the differences between aggressive and nonaggressive boys with the use of a social information processing approach. The subjects were 80 3rd & 6th grade boys selected from a public elementary school in Seoul. The subjects were interviewed individually. Following the presentation of each story, five questions were asked. A 2 x 2 Analysis of Variance was performed for each of the 5 dependent measures. Results showed (1) Aggressive boys were more likely to attribute a hostile intention to the behavior of peer. (2) Aggressive boys predicted their own response as more hostile and aggressive. (3) The 6th graders generated more alternative solutions than the 3rd graders. (4) Non significant results are not reported in the abstract. (5) Aggressive boys were likely to choose an ineffective solution.

  • The purposes of this study are in threefold; to explain the interactivity in web site, to extend the Technology Acceptance Model(TAM) in the WWW context, and to examine its relationship with the existing TAM components. We proposed that the WWW is not just web systems but interactive spaces for virtual community. Web interactivity is represented by the two constructs: system interactivity and social interactivity. We extended and empirically examined the TAM for the web context. An individual's attitude toward the use of the web site is significantly affected by the individual's perception about ease of use, usefulness, and system interactivity. At the same time, behavioral intentions to use the web site is highly related to the social interactivity. The results showed that the system interactivity and social interactivity of a web site are important factors in affecting the user's beliefs and behavior intention of such a web site, So web page providers not only have to make the web site useful and easy to use, but also need to design an interactive web page by putting both systemic aspects and social aspects.

  • Purpose - This study is aimed at examining Indian consumers' online shopping motivations, information search, and shopping intentions. The study intends to reveal the relationship between online shopping motivations, information search, and shopping intentions. Research design, data, and methodology - The study employs factor analysis to verify correct loading of items on corresponding factors, and to confirm the applicability of constructs in the Indian context. The model was verified using stepwise regression analysis. Results -The findings show that hedonic and utilitarian motivations significantly affect online information search and shopping intentions. The information search is a significant predictor of online purchase intention. Conclusions - Hedonic and utilitarian motivations are the salient factors affecting online information search and purchase intentions. Marketers are required to design websites that foster an enjoyable online experience. This will attract customers who will browse the website for a longer duration. More time devoted to information search will ensure brand building and loyalty.

  • Threat is one special type of communication whereby one conveys opinion, knowledge, or attitude to another with an intention to influence and modify the latter's opinion or behavior. This research aims at identifying the antecedents and the effectiveness of threats applied in the process of purchasing decision-making. The research model integrates constructs derived from the literature of diverse discipline. The framework suggested explains the relative effects of threats, is tested empirically to verify the impacts on the influenced target's opinions and behaviors in buying centers. Data are collected from CAPM's members in Taiwan, and 208 respondents served as targets in the interpersonal relationships. LISREL findings indicate that threats are effective in winning a target's compliance. Additionally, influencing source's characteristics affect the choice of threats more strongly than target characteristics do. The relative ability of dependence on the source to cause manifest influence is even more significant than that of threats. Overall, the results of this study appear consistent with behavioral theories and research.

  • Intentions influence behaviors and, consequently, individual and organizational outcomes. The ability to understand intentions becomes a central issue. The objective of this study was to present and test an Entrepreneurial Intentions (EI) model. Drawing on a generally utilized paradigm, the theory of planned behavior and Shapero's model of the Entrepreneurial Event (SEE), we show the impact of individual and contextual factors on the intention development. Relying on the Global Entrepreneurship Monitor data(GEM), we test a EI conceptual model. The EI conceptual model is tested using the dataset of GEM over 30 countries and 3 subgroups. All the variables of interest indicate positive and significant effect on EI. Our results indicate that EI is influenced by Perceived Opportunity(PO), Perceived Capability(PC) and Government Support & Policy(GSP).

  • Organizational climate and organization culture can be some of the leading factors in hindering knowledge sharing within the organization. It is generally accepted that successful knowledge management practice, including knowledge sharing, comes as a result of a conducive and knowledge sharing friendly environment. Organizations that promote and reward collective work generate a trustful and a more collaborative learning culture. The perception of fairness in an organization has been considered an important indicator of employee behavior, attitude, and motivation. This study investigates organizational justice perception and its impact on knowledge sharing practices among forensic experts in the Turkish National Police. The study findings revealed that senior officers, who are experts in the field, have the strongest organizational justice perception. Meanwhile, noncommissioned officers or technicians bear positive but comparatively weaker feelings about the existence of justice within the organization. The study argues that those who satisfy their career expectations tend to have a higher organizational justice perception.
