Relationship between employee support evaluation, job stress, job autonomy and turnover intention of beauty and cosmetic industry workers (뷰티 및 화장품 산업 종사자의 직원지지평가, 직무스트레스, 직무자율성과 이직의도와의 관계)

  • The purpose of this study is to investigate the relationship between job stress, job autonomy, employee support evaluation, and the turnover intentions of workers in the beauty and cosmetics industry. This study assessed 570 workers with 3 months or more of experience in the beauty and cosmetics industry. Data processing was achieved through analyses of frequency, descriptive statistics, exploratory factors, reliability, correlation, and confirmatory factors, as well as the verification of the structural equation model. The results of the study are as follows: first, employee support evaluation in the beauty and cosmetics industry workers was negatively correlated to job stress. Second, employee support evaluation showed a negative relationship with turnover intentions. Third, job stress was found to have a positive relationship with turnover intention.This study suggests that, in order to reduce the turnover intentions of beauty and cosmetics industry workers, it is necessary for employers to make efforts to manage employees' job autonomy, support evaluation, and stress levels.

  • This study was designed to prepare measures for future development and growth of local cosmetics industry by examining awareness, purchasing behaviors and satisfaction of beauty professionals with regard to Korean brand mask packs that have recently created a big trend in the beauty market. According to the results of survey, 80.6 percent of the respondents said that the most important factor in buying a mask pack was 'effect,' and as for the needed improvement of mask packs, 33.7 percent responded 'effect,' indicating that consumers still find the function of a product is unreliable. In addition, the respondents said that 'K-beauty effect' was the reason why mask packs were highly popular abroad, especially in China, and items that can promote beauty market were also said to be 'K-beauty advertising and promotion,' so it is believed that a good impression of K-culture rather than its own efficacy or reliability is leading to the present results. Therefore, K-beauty industry is expected to grow further in the global market if domestic and abroad consumers' confidence on the product is gained through the development of superior products that have improved effect and usability.

  • This study was conducted for the purpose of developing a curriculum to educate the practical skills required in the industry by convergence with the 4th industry in the beauty field, which has been accelerated since the Corona era. As a result of an exploratory investigation of several literatures and collecting expert opinions, it was analyzed that the field of beauty industry will expand to a personalized service providing industry that combines medical, bio, ICT, and artificial intelligence technologies, rather than providing a single item or service. Based on the analysis contents, the curriculum was composed and subjects were derived by adding digital application skills to have in addition to the basic job skills required in the traditional beauty industry. The post-Corona era will bring changes in various industries based on the Fourth industrial revolution, and in response to these changes, universities should always pay attention to changes in the industry to develop talent for the development and sustainability of the beauty industry.

  • This paper sought to help north Korean women understand their lives and seek to integrate the in-house between North and South Korea by organizing the overall reality of north Korea's fashionable hairstyles and beauty industry. The research method looks at the appearance management activities of North Koreans in north Korean media, media outlets, and testimonies of north Koreans who have been on the outstay since Kim Jong-un's ruling, among other things, and analyzed their hair activities. C. Studies have shown that some improvements have been made since the Kim Regime through the smuggling of foreign goods by yusists. In addition, it was confirmed that beauty education is being systematically edied out through a beauty training institute in North Korea, and that it has changed from a fixed salary system to an ability-based allowance. This study shows a limitation that north Korea has failed to study. It is believed to be a boon to future research on North Korean hair.

The Effect of SNS Beauty Advertising Characteristics on Voluntary Word-of-Mouth Intention: Focusing on S-O-R Theory

  • Purpose: Through this study, first, we try to understand the characteristics of SNS beauty advertising using SNS. Second, focusing on S-O-R Theory, we aim to confirm the impact of SNS beauty advertising characteristics on positive emotions, commitment, and voluntary word-of-mouth intentions. Third, we intend to suggest measures related to effective SNS beauty advertising operation. Research design, data and methodology: To analyze the data collected of 308 questionnaires, the SPSS and AMOS statistical program was used, and the SNS beauty advertising characteristics were reclassified after analyzing the credibility and validity of the responses. Results: It was found that all SNS beauty advertising characteristics (interactivity, entertainment, credibility, and irritation) had a significant effect on positive emotions. However, entertainment and irritation did not have a significant effect on commitment. In addition, it was found that positive emotions had a positive effect on commitment, and commitment had a positive effect on voluntary word-of-mouth intentions, and positive emotions had no significant effect on voluntary word-of-mouth intentions. Conclusions: In order to improve consumers' commitment in SNS beauty advertising, it is important to secure trust through interaction, and it is judged that the more commit in SNS beauty advertising through positive emotions, the more spontaneous and positive word-of-mouth effect can be created.

  • The reality of this study is that, in accordance with the development trend of human body art, art makeup and semi-permanent makeup are emerging as promising industries in the beauty industry among beauticians, and awareness of professional skill improvement is gradually increasing over time. Accordingly, interest in semi-permanent makeup has increased not only among beauticians who specialize in beauty industry or learn semi-permanent makeup, but also at beauty academies where they learn many beauty techniques, and this trending technology has been promoted at international beauty competitions by holding skill competitions for beauty technicians who specialize in semi-permanent techniques. As a venue for exchanging information about education, it is expected that synergistic effects such as dissemination of the education system can be expected. Korea's rapid industrial development has brought about great changes in the supply and demand of professional and detailed skilled manpower and in the formation of manpower in terms of technical level according to industrial development, and the skills and professional skills of beauty beauticians have improved due to the excellence of the professional education qualifications of beauticians and high skill evaluations. This had a significant impact on self-development and led to a re-recognition of the importance of efforts to achieve skilled skills.

  • This study empirically analyzed the effects of beauty service training on customer orientation and job performance of beauty industry workers. First, as a result of the study, there were differences in service training, customer orientation, and job performance according to general characteristics, and service training showed significant differences in age, highest level of education, work experience, and number of employees, job performance in age, work experience, and number of employees, and job performance in age, academic background, work experience, and number of employees. Secondly, it was identified that service training makes a significant effect on customer orientation, the factor that makes the greatest effect on customer orientation among sub-factors of service training is educational content, and it can be seen that customer orientation increases when educational content, educational instructor, and educational environment are higher. Thirdly, it was identified that service training and customer orientation make a significant effect on job performance. hese research results show that the better the educational environment, instructor, and educational content of beauty industry workers, the higher the customer-oriented service, leading to the creation of loyal customers and can improve job performance as well.

  • This study aimed at developing a convergence education program about skin care and social welfare with the purpose of operating liberal arts courses to foster the creativity and character building of university students and the development findings are as follows. The name of the developed course is "beauty treatment welfare and community service" and details were developed for the course overview, goals of the course, textbooks, course management, assignments, and assessment. The lesson goals of this course are character building by fostering creative and outstanding individuals demanded by the society and equipped with the basic knowledge of majors like skin care and social welfare as well as the capability to share and consider through service learning related education for the increase in convergence critical thinking skills and the convergence of skin care and social welfare. The details of the course comprised of introduction about the course, understanding the concept of convergence, understanding the concepts of skin care and social welfare, convergent thinking education and practicum, and education about service learning performance sharing meeting. The service learning is targeted on the socially disadvantaged, such as children and elders, and students can engage in service twice a week with 3 hours for each service session. The assessment is evaluated with midterm (30%), final exam (30%), report (20%), and attendance (20%). This study stresses importance on the development of a convergence education program for skin care and social welfare, which are still undeveloped while convergence education is expanding in university, and with this research as the start, it is anticipated for various approaches to be actively implemented about convergence education in the field of beauty treatment.
