LMTT용 Suhttle Car의 Frame 강도 및 강성에 미치는 Cross Beam의 영향 (The Effect of Cross Beam on the strength and Stiffness of the Frame in Shuttle Car for LMIT)

  • 세계 컨테이너 무역 규모가 연간 $7\%$씩 증가함에 따라 항만 환경이 급격히 변화하고 있다. 이러한 항만의 변화에 성공적으로 대처하기 위해 차세대 항만하역시스템인 LMTT(Linear Motor-based Transfer Technology)의 연구가 진행되고 있다. LMTT용 Shuttle car의 frame부는 컨테이너를 지탱하는 outer beam, frame의 뼈대가 되는 inner beam, 두 beam을 연결시켜 보강하는 cross beam으로 구성되어 있으며, 본 연구에서는 이러한 frame은 설계하기 위하여 cross beam의 개수, 하중 재하 위치 및 inner beam의 위치에 따른 outer beam과의 거리 비 등이 frame의 강도 및 강성에 미치는 영향을 유한요소해석을 통하여 고찰하였다.

  • 컨테이너 무역 규모가 매년 증가함에 따라 항만 환경이 급격히 변화하고 있다. 이러한 항만의 변화에 성공적으로 대처하기 위해 차세대 항만하역시스템인 LMTT(Linear Motor-based Transfer Technology)의 연구가 진행되고 있다. LMTT용 셔틀 카의 프레임부는 내부 빔, 내부 빔, 크로스 빔으로 구성되어 있으며, 본 연구에서는 프레임을 설계하기 위하여 크로스 빔의 개수, 하중 재하 위치 및 내부 빔의 위치에 따른 외부 빔과의 거리비 등이 프레임의 강도 및 강성에 미치는 영향을 유한요소 해석을 통하여 하중이 외부 빔과 내부 빔에 동시에 작용하고 크로스 빔이 5개일 때가 최적의 조건이라는 결론을 얻을 수 있었다.

  • It is discussed how to route yard-side equipment during the loading operation in port container terminals. The number of containers to be picked up at each yard-bay, as well as the route of a yard-side equipment (for example, transfer crane or straddle carrier) in a yard, are determined. The objective of the problem is to minimize the total container handling time in the yard. An encoding method to represent nodes in the search space is introduced utilizing inherent properties of the optimal solution by which the search space is greatly reduced. A beam search algorithm is suggested. A numerical experiment is carried out to compared the performance of the beam search algorithm with those of other approaches.

  • The treatment of tumors along curved surfaces with stationary electron beams using cone collimation may lead to non-uniform dose distributions due to a varying air gap between the cone surface and patient. For large tumors, more than one port may have to be used in irradiation of the chest wall, often leading to regions of high or low dose at the junction of the adjacent ports. Electron-beam arc therapy may elimination many of these fixed port problems. When treating breast tumors with electrons, the energy of the internal mammary port is usually higher than that of the chest wall port. Bolus is used to increase the skin dose or limit the range of the electrons. We invertiaged the effect of various arc beam parameters in the isodose distributions, and combined into a single arc port for adjacent fixed ports of different electron beam eneries. The higher fixed port energy would be used as the arc beam energy while the beam penetration in the lower energy region would be controlled by a proper thickness of bolus. We obtained the results of following: 1. It is more uniform dose distribution of electron to use rotation than stationary irradiation. 2. Increasing isocenter depth on arc irradiation, increased depth of maximum dose, reduction in surface dose and an increasing penetration of the linear portion of the curve. 3. The deeper penetration of the depth dose curve and higher X-ray background for the smaller field sized. 4. If the isocenter depth increase, the field effect is small. 5. The decreasing arc beam penetration with decreasing isocenter depth and the isocenter depth effect appears at a greater depth as the energy increases. 6. The addition of bolus produces a shift in the penetration that is the same for all depths leaving the shape of the curves unchanged. 7. Lead strips 5 mm thick were placed at both ends of the arc to produce a rapid dose drop-off.

Broadband polarimetric Microstrip Antennas for Space-borne SAR

  • A novel phased array antenna system for space-borne polarimetric SAR is proposed and completed in this paper.The antenna system assures polarimetric and multi-mode capability of SAR. It has broadband, high polarization isolation and high port to port isolation. The antenna system is composed of broadband polarimetric microstrip antenna, T/R modules and multifunction beam controller nit. The polarimetric microstrip antenna has more than 100MHz bandwidth at L-band with -30dB polarization isolation and high port to port isolation. The microstrip element and T/R module's structure and characteristics, the subarray's performances measuring results are presented in detail in this paper. A design scheme on beam controller of the phased array antenna is also proposed and completed, which is based on Digital Signal Processing (DSP) chip -TMS320F206. This beam controller unit has small size and high reliability compared with general beam controller. In addition, the multifunction beam controller unit can acquire and then send the T/R module's working states to detection system in real time.

Red-green-blue Beam Combiner Based on Two-mode Interference

  • A compact red-green-blue beam combiner (multiplexer) based on two-mode interference (TMI) is proposed and its feasibility is shown through three-dimensional beam propagation simulation. The first stage TMI beam combiner makes red (637 nm) and blue (446 nm) beams combined toward one output port and the second stage one combines red, blue, and green (532 nm) beams. The power transmission to the output port from the red, green, and blue input ports are 0.96, 0.99, and 0.98, respectively. When the wavelength deviation is 10 nm, the transmission is maintained to be larger than 0.9. The size of the combiner is as tiny as $0.02{\times}3.8mm^2$.

  • The primary purpose of port filming is to verify the treatment volume under treatment. Although the image quality with the megavoltage x-ray beam is poorer than with the diagnostic or the simulator film. This paper proposes an edge-adaptive Kalman filter for the image enhancement of port films. Suggested filtering procedure preserves edge information and eliminates edge noise and inside and outside treatment area preserving treatment boundary.

마이크로 컨트롤러를 이용한 LED 통신의 선택적 빔 포밍 시스템 구현에 관한 연구 (A study on implementation of beam forming system for LED communication using micro controller)

  • 본 논문에서는 스텝핑 모터와 연동하여 방향 제어되는 LED 빔 포밍 통신 시스템을 HW로 구현하였다. ATMega1284 MCU를 이용하여 제어 보드를 구성하였으며, PC와 연결되는 RS232 IO와 스텝핑 모터 구동 보드 제어용 포트(Port)를 이용하여 외부 인터페이스를 구성하였다. 스텝핑 모터는 200 PWM으로 360도 회전하고 동시에 반경이 커지는 아르키메디스의 소용돌이(Archimedian Spiral) 방식을 적용하여 목표하는 지점을 선택적으로 조명할 수 있도록 하였다. 이 빔 포밍은 RS232와 연결된 PC 툴(tool)에 의해서 제어되며, ATMega1284 MCU 보드가 호스트(host) 역할을 하였다. 빔 포밍의 동작은 실제 구현된 HW/SW 기반으로 그 유용성을 검증하였다.

  • The major movement block of the containers have range between apron and designation points on yard in container terminal. The yard tractor operated by human takes charge of its movement in conventional container terminal. In automated container terminal, AGV(Automated Guided Vehicle) has charge of the yard tractor's role and the navigation path is ordered from upper level control system. The automated container terminal facilities must have the docking system to guide landing line to have high speed travelling and precision positioning. The general method for docking system uses the vision system with CCD camera, infra red, and laser. This paper describes the detection of AGV's position and orientation using laser slit beam to develop docking system.

  • Bi2212 and Bi2223 thin films are fabricated by ion beam sputtering method. Three phases of Bi2201, Bi2212 and Bi2223 appear as stable ones in spite of the condition for thin film fabrication of Bi2212 and bi2223 compositions, depending on substrate temperature(T$\sub$sub/) and ozone pressure (PO$_3$). It is found out that these phases show similar T$\sub$sub/ and PO$_3$dependence, and that the stable regions of these phases are limited within very narrow temperature.
