애니로직 시뮬레이션을 이용한 무인지상차량 운용성능과 전투효과의 연관성 분석 (Interrelation Analysis of UGV Operational Capability and Combat Effectiveness using AnyLogic Simulation)

  • In modern warfare, the number of unmanned systems grow faster than any other weapon systems. Therefore, it is very important to predict and measure the combat effectiveness (CE) of unmanned weapon systems in battlefield for deciding defense budget to acquire those systems. In general, quantitative calculation of weapon effectiveness under complicated battlefield is difficult based on the future network centric warfare. Hence, many papers studied how to measure the combat effectiveness and tried to study a lot of related issues about it. However, there are few papers dealing with the relationship between the UGV (Unmanned Ground Vehicle)'s performance and CE in a ground battlefield. In this paper, we do the sensitivity analysis based on a given scenario in a small unit battle. In order to do that, we developed simulation model using AnyLogic and changed the input parameters such as detection and hitting probabilities. We also assess the simulation outputs according to the variation of input parameters. The MOE used in this simulation model output is survival ratio for Blue force. We hope that this paper will be useful to find which input variable is more effective to increase combat effectiveness in a small unit ground battlefield.

Link-16 기반의 효율적인 공대지 항공작전 모델 설계 (Establishment for Efficiency Air-To-Ground Air Operation Model in Link-16)

  • As CAS, X-ATK, and INT models considered as the most typical Air-to-Ground operation models in ROKAF are mainly designed as the voice-centered system between aircraft and ground control facilities, it is critical to newly develop the Link-16 based model for the ROK-US combined operation between F-15K, AWACS, M-SAM, and KDX-III equipped with Link-16. Former studies had been limited to the CAS operation, and they had mainly focused on reducing the voice transmission time to exchange the information between each mission step with maintaining existing operation steps. Therefore, this paper makes up the weak point in former studies, thereby designing new Air-to-Ground operation model for CAS, X-ATK, INT mission using Enterprise Architecture OV6c, which enables both aircraft and ground control facilities or between aircraft to obtain the real-time information on the location, identification, armament and the real-time image data through the broadcasting function. Based on the analysis of new operation model, we come to a conclusion that by simultaneously exchanging the information on mission between nodes concerned through the broadcasting function of Link-16. It is possible to cut down superfluous steps among the mission steps, and to reduce the mission time. It is clear that it gives rise to improve the battle efficiency and the decision-making tempo as well as the battlefield situational awareness.

소형 무인 로봇의 소음 측정법 개발 및 측정 장소에 따른 상관성 분석 (Noise Measurement Method Development and Correlation Analysis According to Measurement Location of Small Unmanned Robot)

  • The small unmanned robot developed in this paper can perform tasks such as surveillance and reconnaissance in the battle field. The noise generated during the operation of the robot may expose the operation area. Therefore, in this study, we developed a method to quantitatively measure the noise of the developed small unmanned ground robot. The criteria for noise measurement in indoor and outdoor are presented. It was used for statistical verification method to verify the reliability of the developed noise measurement method. The noise was measured at different places, and the correlation was analyzed. Thus, we proposed a method to predict the noise level in the operation area where the robot is operated by the noise test data measured during the development process.

  • Military robots are expected to play an important role in the future battlefield, and will be actively engaged in dangerous, repetitive and difficult tasks. During the robots perform the tasks a human operator controls the robots in a supervisory way. The operator recognizes battlefield situations from remote robots through an interface of the operator control center, and controls them. In the meantime, operator workload, controller interface, robot automation level, and task complexity affect robot operability. In order to assess the robot operability, we have developed ROSim (Robot Operational Simulator) incorporating these operational factors. In this paper, we introduce the results of applying ROSim experimentally to the assessment of reconnaissance robot operability in a battle field. This experimental assessment shows three resulting measurements: operational control workload, operational control capability, mission success rate, and discuss its applicability to the defense robot research and development. It is expected that ROSim can contribute to the design of an operator control center and the design analysis of a human-robot team in the defense robot research and development.

지상전투차량에서 표적정보 처리 및 공유 방안 구현 (An Implementation of Target Information Management and its Sharing Process among Ground Fighting Vehicles)

  • Enemy information has significant value when it comes to the process of military actions in battle field. Our Army now uses Battlefield Management Systems(BMSs) equipped in Ground Fighting Vehicles(GFVs) and we need to make research on what kind of role enemy information can play in such systems. Also, enemy information can be shared among GFVs and target information shall be extracted from it in view of KVMF scheme. Because KVMF becomes requisite standard in modern BMSs, we need to implement target information handling process in KVMF standard. In this article, we will focus on how target information and its sharing process can be managed efficiently without information conflicts. Also, situation map produced by it will be noted.

  • 지상의 주력전차를 격추시키기 위한 공대지 유도미사일은 지상을 탐색하여 움직이는 표적을 탐지한 다음 위치를 추정하여 표적을 향해 나아가야 한다. 본 논문에서는 미사일이 향하는 전방의 지상을 좁은 빔 폭을 가진 빔을 기계적으로 좌우로 조향함으로써 일정한 지상구간을 탐색하며 Frequency Modulated Continuous Wave(FMCW)를 활용하여 이동하는 표적을 탐지하고 합성개구레이다(synthetic aperture radar: SAR)를 통해 위치를 추정한다. 또한 최대우도추정(maximum likelihood estimation: MLE) 기법을 통해 이동표적의 상대속도를 추정하여 레이다와 가까워지는 혹은 멀어지는 정도를 알 수 있으며 상대속도가 고려된 위상기록(phase history)을 통해 보정된 정합필터로 레이다 이미지(image)를 형성한다.

영상정보에 기초한 전차 자율탐지 및 조준점탐색 연구 (Autonomous Battle Tank Detection and Aiming Point Search Using Imagery)

  • 본 논문은 지상무인전투체계 중의 하나인 무인경전투차량이 RGB 영상정보를 기초로 스스로 전차를 탐지하고 조준점을 산출하는 지능형 표적획득/처리기술의 기초연구이다. 무인 경전투 차량이 전장에서 적 전차와 조우 시, 적 전차를 자율적으로 탐지하고 스스로 조준하는 방법을 개발하기 위해, 영상정보로부터 전차의 주요특징을 식별 및 추출하고, Maximally stable extremal regions, 중간값 필터, k평균 클러스터링 그리고 Morphological filtering의 영상처리기법 및 인공지능 알고리즘을 통해 전차의 외형정보를 추출 및 분석하였으며, 식별된 전차 외형정보를 벡터화하여 전차의 중앙을 지향하는 조준점을 산출하였다. 또한, 본 연구의 성능을 측정하기 위해 선진국들의 주력전차의 영상정보를 수집 및 분석하였고, 제안한 방법의 객관적인 전차탐지 성능은 정확도 91.6%, 정밀도 90.4%, 재현율 85.8% 그리고 F-measure 88.1%의 결과를 보여주었다. 본 연구가 무인전투체계의 지능형 표적획득/처리기술 연구개발에 도움이 되기를 기대한다.

  • Under the internet age, the competition among recruiting intermediaries including online and offline players has been intensified for several years. Therefore, their business processes or business models have also been transformed to be able to earn the competitive advantages. For these reasons, the traditional players like offline-based recruiting companies have willingly or unwillingly experienced the competitive disadvantages on the recruit battle ground. The online recruiting intermediaries, who newly participated in this industry and based on the internet environment, however, seized on the competitive advantages with the richness and the reach traits of online media. Under this context, the offline traditional intermediaries, who have been threatened by new online entries, must make a replacement of traditional trading mechanisms with alternative trading mechanisms like IT-enabled intermediaries. In this study by exploratory approach, we investigate the phases of transformation of the traditional recruiting intermediaries, changes in business strategies of offline-based firms, and impacts of online media in e-recruiting industry.

전장가시화를 위한 한국형 지상전술데이터링크 구축 연구 (Study on Korean Variable Message Format Construction for Battlefield Visualization)

  • 지상군은 감시정찰, 지휘통제 및 정밀타격과 관련된 정보를 교환하기 위한 수단으로 음성위주로 사용하고 있다. 하지만 지상군 작전에 참가하는 전력들간에 전장 가시화를 위해서는 자동화된 상황인식과 지휘통제를 제공할 수 있는 지상전술데이터링크가 필요하다. 이런 필요한 핵심기술 확보를 위해 응용연구를 통하여 메지지 표준과 메시지처리기가 완성되었다. 또한 각 무기체계의 장착을 위한 지상용 데이터링크가 시험개발이 진행 중이다. 본 논문에서는 합동작전, 지상작전 및 연합작전을 수행으로 통합 전장관리체계의 연동성 확보가 가능하여 근실시간으로 상황인식과 타격체계가 자동화된 한국형 지상전술데이터링크의 구축 연구를 제시한다. 메시지 처리기의 M&S 실험결과, 단일 소대망의 노드수와 메시지 길이 및 메시지 발생주기에 따라 지연 시간이 변화하는 것을 확인할 수 있었다. 따라서 각 상황에 네트워크 프로토콜을 변경하여 성능을 최적화 할 수 있음을 확인하였다.
