20세기 초기 서양 흔들의자의 양식적 특징 (Study on the Characteristics of Western Rocker style In Early 20th Century)

  • 본 연구는 20세기 초기의 서양 흔들의자를 분석하여 조형적, 실용적 관점에서 양식적 특징을 학문적으로 규명하고, 오늘날 우리나라 흔들의자의 설계 및 제작의 기초자료를 제공하는 것에 목적이 있다. 20세기 전반의 서양 흔들의자(1925~1945년 제작)는 형태가 기능을 따라야 한다는 단순한 기능주의의 이념을 적극적으로 표현하였다. 원목을 활용한 흔들의자는 표면장식을 배제하였고, 강철관 프레임의 흔들의자는 검정색 가죽의 업홀스터리를 즐겨 사용하면서 노출된 구조미를 대담하게 표현하였다. 또 강철관을 통하여 가구의 경량화가 이루어졌고 곡선미 있는 새로운 양식이 출현하였다. 근대 흔들의자의 구조는 양식과 기능적 이유에서 모두 중요하게 되었다. 디자이너들은 강철관과 목재 프레임의 노출된 구조를 통합성 및 합리성과 결부 시켜 디자인의 평등주의 스타일을 만들어냈다. 특히 이 시기에는 밝고 대담한 색상의 업홀스터리와 목재 프레임으로 구성된 흔들의자가 근대적 특징의 단순한 형태로 다양하게 표현되었다.

Effects of Nutrient Solution Application Methods and Rhizospheric Ventilation on Vegetative Growth of Young Moth Orchids without a Potting Medium in a Closed-Type Plant Factory

  • Background and objective: Moth orchids in the vegetative stage are suitable for a multi-layer growing environment in a closed-type plant factory which can be a good alternative that can reduce production costs by reducing cultivation time and energy cost per plant. This study was conducted to find out the optimal rhizospheric environment for different irrigation methods without a potting medium and rhizospheric ventilation for the vegetative growth of young Phalaenopsis hybrid 'Blanc Rouge' (P. KV600 × P. Kang 1) and Phalaenopsis Queen Beer 'Mantefon' in a closed-type plant factory system. Methods: The one-month-old clonal micropropagules with bare roots rapped with a sponges were fixed on the holes of styrofoam plates above growth beds, and were watered using the ebb-and-flow (EBB) and aeroponic (AER) methods with Ichihashi solution (0.5 strength) once a day at 06:00 (P) or 18:00 (S), and both (PS). Rhizospheric ventilation (V) was also applied to change the temperature, relative humidity, and CO2 concentration of the beds. Plants potted into sphagnum moss and watered once a week were used as the control group. Results: After 12 months of treatment, the growth characteristics of the EBB groups were the best among the treatment groups without a medium, but no effect of irrigation timing was observed. V reduced the temperature, relative humidity and CO2 concentration of the beds. Whereas, EBB+V (ebb-and-flow with ventilation) improved plant growth and reduced the occurrence of disorders and withering. Especially, EBB+V showed a similar performance to the control group. Conclusion: The results indicated that the optimal irrigation method without a potting medium for producing middle-aged potted moth orchids was the EBB system with forced rhizospheric ventilation. Therefore, further studies on the optimal ventilation method and moisture control of the crown need to be carried out to develop the irrigation system without a potting medium for vertical farming in closed-type plant factories.

상추, 시금치 및 알타리무에 의한 Cyantraniliprole의 흡수이행 잔류량 평가 (Evaluation of Cyantraniliprole Residues Translocated by Lettuce, Spinach and Radish)

  • BACKGROUND: Cyantraniliprole is a systemic diamide insecticide that has been used to control lepidopteran pests in agriculture. Cyantraniliprole has become an issue due to its potentiality of unexpectable contamination in rotational crop cultivation. Thus, studies on the evaluation of cyantraniliprole translocated from soil into rotational crops are required. METHODS AND RESULTS: Cyantraniliprole was treated at a yearly maximum application level onto bare soil under greenhouse conditions in two geographically different regions. Lettuce was transplanted and spinach and radish were sown onto the soil 30 and 60 days-plant back intervals (PBIs) after cyantraniliprole treatment. The QuEChERS method was modified and coupled with LC/MS/MS analysis to determine the residues of cyantraniliprole in soil and plant samples. The methods for sample preparation and instrumental conditions were validated to meet the criteria of Codex guidelines and were successful to determine cyantraniliprole quantitatively and qualitatively in the samples. Cyantraniliprole residues in lettuce samples were 0.01 mg/kg for PBI 60 and 0.02 mg/kg for PBI 30, respectively. The residues in spinach samples were 0.01 mg/kg for PBI 60 and 0.01~0.02 mg/kg for PBI 30, respectively. Less than limit of the quantitation (LOQ) level (0.01 mg/kg) of cyantraniliprole was observed in radish samples. The residues in the plant samples were found as the levels less than maximum residue limit (MRL) for leafy and root vegetables. CONCLUSION(S): This study suggests PBI 30~60 days for rotational cultivation of lettuce, spinach and radish in greenhouse soil treated with cyantraniliprole at a yearly maximum application level.

탈근대 희곡에 나타난 인간동물의 탈경계성 연구 타자성, -되기(devenir) , 생태적 공존을 중심으로- (A Study of Human/Animal Liminality in Postmodern Plays: applying 'Otherness', 'Becoming', and Ecological Coexistence)

  • In these days, we come across a growing interest in animals from various perspectives. Considering that the posthumanistic point of view forms the major stream of postmodern humanities, ethics and philosophies, this paper tries to study the liminality between human beings and animal as appear in postmodern plays. The cases of a middle-aged architect falling in love with a goat (The Goat, or Who is Sylvia? by Edward Albee); An abandoned (human-)dog that encounters his old mistress under the moonlight (A leaseholder by Yoon Young-sun); Coexistence of men, dog, plants in a Country life (White Cherry by Bae Sam-sik); A Mutual sympathy between a swarm of bees and a woman dying of cancer(Bee by Bae Sam-sik) were discussed referring such concepts as 'Otherness' of Derrida, 'Becoming'of Deleuze, 'a bare life' of Agamben and ecological co-existence. In The Goat, the moment of Martin who happened to meet a goat's eyes in a suburbs can be paralleled with that of Derrida who one day found himself caught up with the gaze of a cat in the bathroom while he was naked. They shared the common experience in that they went through the ontological and mysterious abyss that rendered them to raise the question of "Who am I ?" In A leaseholder, a young woman returns to her hometown exhausted by the calculating human society and meet her old time (human-dog). This story reminds us of Agamben's werewolf, Levinas's dog Bobby and Derrida's Zootobiography. He, an abandoned pet, both excluded and included from human society, now appearing as a mysterious human-dog, welcomes, embraces, and comprehends his old mistress and exposes his individual remorses and passions as an animal-subject. In White Cherry, the author describes the coexistence of all the life-beings such as an old dog, a golden bell tree, the deceased daughter and even a fossil remains in a country life. Bee is a story of a beekeeping village where bees were leaving and disappearing. A swam of bees fly down on a woman who was dying of cancer. With physical and spiritual empathy the dying woman helps the swarm of bee to conduct a new birth and a new life.

비정질 탄소가 제거된 흑연을 이용한 황화물계 전고체 리튬이온전지 음극소재 전기화학적 특성 분석 (Analysis of Electrochemical Properties of Sulfide All-Solid-State Lithium Ion Battery Anode Material Using Amorphous Carbon-Removed Graphite)

  • 흑연은 낮은 탈/리튬화 전압, 372 mAh/g의 높은 이론 용량, 낮은 가격 및 긴 수명 특성을 가져 지난 30년 동안 리튬이 온전지 음극 재료로 활용되었다. 최근 무기 고체 재료로 구성되어 높은 안정성을 가지는 전고체 리튬이온전지는 전기자동차 및 차세대 에너지 저장 장치로 엄청난 주목을 받고 있지만, 전고체 리튬이온전지 시스템에 잘 구동되는 흑연 연구는 부족한 실정이다. 그래서 우리는 탄소재료 표면에 존재하여 저항층으로 작용하는 비정질 탄소를 흑연으로부터 제거하여 흑연의 전기전도도 향상을 통해 황화물계 전고체 전지 음극 흑연 재료의 성능 향상을 유도했다. 400, 500 및 600 ℃ 공기 열처리된 흑연의 X-ray diffraction (XRD) 분석 결과, (002) 피크 반치폭(FWHM)이 bare 흑연보다 줄어들어 열처리 후 흑연의 결정성이 향상됨을 보였다. 또한 열처리 후 흑연의 결정성이 증가할수록 방전 용량, 초기 쿨롱효율(ICE) 및 수명 특성이 증가함을 확인했다. 500 ℃ 공기 열처리 한 흑연의 경우 331.1 mAh/g 및 ICE 86.2%와 10사이클 수명 측정 후 92.7%의 높은 용량 유지율을 나타내었다.

콩재배 포장 라이시메타를 이용한 alachlor, ethalfluralin, ethoprophos 및 pendimethalin의 유출량 평가 (Runoff and Erosion of Alachlor, Ethalfluralin, Ethoprophos and Pendimethalin from Soybean Field Lysimeter)

  • 강우에 의한 경사지 토양으로부터의 농약 유출양상을 파악하고 그에 대한 농약의 특성, 환경적 요인 및 영농방법 등의 영향 정도를 평가하기 위하여 콩 재배 경사지 포장에 설치된 포장 lysimeter에서의 경사도와 경사장 및 작물의 재배 유무에 따른 농약의 표면유출 양상을 파악하고자 하였다. Lysimeter 포장유출실험 결과 경사도 및 경사장별 나지구의 유실량은 alachlor $0.1{\sim}0.6%$, ethalfluralin $1.1{\sim}4.5%$, ethoprophos 0.03% 및 pendimethalin $8{\sim}31%$ 수준이었으며, 인공강우실험의 유실율에 비하여 $1/3{\sim}2.5$배 수준으로 나타났다. 콩재배구의 유실율은 나지구의 유실율에 비하여 평균적으로 $21{\sim}75%$ 감소된 것으로 나타났다. 경사조건의 영향을 살펴보면 유출수의 경우에는 그 차이가 크지 않았으나 유실토양에 의한 유실율은 최대 $4{\sim}12$배까지 증가하는 것으로 나타났다. 한편 유출수 중 농약성분의 최고농도는 콩재배구 및 나지구 각각 ethalfluralin $1.1{\sim}11.4{\mu}gL^{-1}$$0.9{\sim}16{\mu}gL^{-1}$, pendimethalin $7{\sim}42{\mu}gL^{-1}$$6{\sim}66{\mu}gL^{-1}$ 수준으로 작물재배 유무에 따른 유출수 중 농도의 차이는 크지 않은 것으로 나타났다. 따라서 농약의 살포지역 외부로의 유출은 기본적으로는 강우와 경사조건에 따른 물 유출량과 토양의 유실량에 의하여 결정되고 작물의 피복정도에 따라 감소하는 것으로 결론지을 수 있을 것이다.

제주도 범섬의 식생구조 (The Vegetation Structure of Beomseom Islet, Jeju-do)

  • 본 연구는 이 지역의 식생을 밝힘으로서 체계적이고 효율적인 보존관리대책을 마련하는데 필요한 정보를 제공하고, 금후의 식생변화과정을 연구하는데 필요한 기초 자료로 활용하고자 실시하였다. 범섬의 식생에 대한 군락을 분류한 결과 곰솔군락, 상록활엽수군락, 관목군락, 이대군락, 참억새군락, 암극식생의 여섯 가지 유형으로 구분되었다. 각 군락의 분포면적은 관목군락 40,230 $m^2$($23.3\%$), 암극식생이 39,366 $m^2$($22.8\%$), 곰솔군락 30,012$m^2$($17.4\%$), 참억새군락 29,853$m^2$($17.3\%$), 상록활엽수군락 5,564$m^2$($3.2\%$), 이대군락 3,325 $m^2$($1.9\%$)의 순으로 나타났다. 또한 식생이 형성되지 않은 지역인 해안단애지역은 24,246$m^2$($14.1\%$) 였다. 이러한 식생의 분포는 사면의 경사, 얕은 토양층 등 여러 가지 환경적인 입지요인과 최근까지 거주 및 농경이 이루어졌던 지역이므로 생태학적 간섭과 교란 때문인 것으로 추정된다.

석회암지대 산림식생의 유형과 환경특성 (Classification of Forest Vegetation Type and Environmental Properties in Limestone Area of Korea)

  • 우리나라 석회암지대는 한반도에서 그다지 넓지 않은 좁은 지역에 집중적으로 분포하고 있고, 독특한 생태계 지역이므로 석회암지대 산림관리를 위한 기초자료를 제공하고자 산림식생의 유형분류, 산림토양의 이화학적 특성, 환경요인과 식생유형의 상관관계 등을 구명한 결과, 식생은 굴참나무군락군과 신갈나무군락군의 2개 군락군으로 크게 분류되었고, 기타 하위식생단는 4개 군락, 6개 군, 2개 소군으로 세분되어 총 8개의 식생단위로 나타났다. 석회암지대 조사지의 토성은 미사질양토로 나타났고, A층의 토양산도는 7.55로 나타났으며, 치환성 양이온인 칼슘($Ca^{2+}$)과 마그네슘($Mg^{2+}$) 함량은 각각 평균 $26.04cmol_{c}/kg$$2.93cmol_{c}/kg$으로서 매우 높게 나타났다. 굴참나무군락군은 pH가 높고, 사면경사가 급하고, 노암율이 높으며, Ca 이온의 농도가 높은 입지에 주로 분포하는 경향이었고, 신갈나무군락군은 표고가 높은 입지에 분포하는 경향이었다.

"백조의 호수"에 표현된 발레의상 연구 - 매튜 본의 "백조의 호수"를 중심으로 - (The Study on Ballet Costumes Expressed in "Swan Lake" - Centering around The Swan Lake by Matthew Bourne -)

  • This study is focused on main performers' stage costumes in the 'Swan Lake', a masterpiece of classical ballet, which Is newly represented by Matthew Bourne, a choreographer. The objectives of the study is to help understand a trend of costume in modern public performance and art. First, this paper is attempted to describe the concept and the elements of ballet costume, secondly, to consider the performance generally, and finally to analyze main performers stage costumes. This study was performed by two processes; The first was to visit theaters to view the performances in person: the classical ballet by the Bolshoi Theater Ballet, the performance by Korea national ballet academy and the Matthew Bonne's modernly redefined ballet. The second was to review the regarding literatures and DVD. There are two apparent characteristics of main performers' stage costumes in modern-style ballet compared with classic-style ballet. First, there is an approach to gender identity; the character of swan with the classic tutu that has been the culmination of femininity in the classic-style ballet, used to be represented in an established idea on ballet costume, is now substituted by a creative idea, male ballerina and trouser-style ballet costume. Second, there is an approach to breaking the convention on the purpose of emphasizing popularity arousing real sympathy and art value. Also, modern-style ballet introduces bare body and ffot rather than tutu and toe-shoes, and adapts items from casual outfit fitted in earh performer's character with a present-day life.

Effect of Manganese Vanadate Formed on the Surface of Spinel Lithium Manganese Oxide Cathode on High Temperature Cycle Life Performance

  • Rate capability and cyclability of $LiMn_2O_4$ should be improved in order to use it as a cathode material of lithium-ion batteries for hybrid-electric-vehicles (HEV). To enhance the rate capability and cyclability of $LiMn_2O_4$, it was coated with $MnV_2O_6$ by a sol-gel method. A $V_2O_5$ sol was prepared by a melt-quenching method and the $LiMn_2O_4$ coated with the sol was heat-treated to obtain the $MnV_2O_6$ coating layer. Crystal structure and morphology of the samples were examined by X-ray diffraction, SEM and TEM. The electrochemical performances, including cyclability at $60^{\circ}C$, and rate capability of the bare and the coated $LiMn_2O_4$ were measured and compared. Overall, $MnV_2O_6$ coating on $LiMn_2O_4$ improves the cyclability at high temperature and rate capability at room temperature at the cost of discharge capacity. The improvement in cyclability at high temperature and the enhanced rate capability is believed to come from the reduced contact between the electrode, and electrolyte and higher electric conductivity of the coating layer. However, a dramatic decrease in discharge capacity would make it impractical to increase the coating amount above 3 wt %.
