고강도철근 기계적정착의 원전구조물 적용을 위한 성능평가실험 (Performance Evaluation Test for Applying the Mechanical Development of the High-Strength Reinforcing Bars to the Nuclear Power Plant Structures)

  • If the mechanical development be applied to the Nuclear Power Plant Structures instead of the standard hook development, the problem of overcrowding re-bars in the anchorage zone can be solved and the construction quality of the concrete work will be improved. But there are some problems in applying it to the NPP structures because of the restriction on the re-bar yield strength and diameter. After the performance evaluation test for the mechanical development, we can develop the new design equation of the mechanical development length in order to solve the limitation and apply it to NPP structures.

Evaluation on Steel Bar Corrosion Embedded in Antiwashout Underwater Concrete

  • This study aims the evaluation of the corrosion of steel bar embedded in antiwashout underwater concrete, which has rather been neglected to date. To that goal, accelerated steel bar corrosion tests have been performed on three series of steel bar-reinforced antiwashout underwater concrete specimens manufactured with different admixtures. The three series of antiwashout underwater concrete were: concrete constituted exclusively with ordinary portland cement (OPC), concrete composed of ordinary portland cement mixed with fly-ash in $20\%$ ratio (FA20), and concrete with ground granulated blast furnace slag mixed in $50\%$ ratio (BFS50). The environment of manufacture was in artificial seawater. Measurement results using half-cell potential surveyor showed that, among all the specimens, steel bar in OPC was the first one that exceeded the threshold value proposed by ASTM C 876 with a potential value below -350mv after 14 cycles. And, the corresponding corrosion current density and concentration of water soluble chloride were measured as $30{\mu}A/mm^2$ and $0.258\%$. On the other hand, for the other specimens that are FA20 and BFS50, potential values below -350mV were observed later at 18 and 20 cycles, respectively. Results confirmed the hypothesis that mineral admixtures may be more effective on delay the development of steel bar corrosion in antiwashout underwater concrete.

강체전차선로 고속화를 위한 설계파라미터 민감도 분석 연구 (A Study on a Sensitivity Analysis of Design Parameters for the Speed-up of Overhead Rigid Conductor System)

  • R-Bar (Overhead Rigid Conductor system) has been lately used for the speed of over 200km/h in Europe, while it has been developed and used for the max. speed of 120km/h in Korea. Because R-Bar has advantages of reduction of tunnel cross sectional area and maintenance, its development for more high-speed is urgent in Korea having many mountain area. Therefore a sensitivity analysis of design parameters for the speed-up of R-Bar has performed in this study. For the analysis, we have developed a program for the prediction of dynamic characteristics between a pantograph and R-Bar. The program was evaluated with the actual test result and a current collection performance according to the parameters such as a distance between brackets, a stiffness of bracket and of R-Bar rail was predicted with the program.

  • 무치악 환자에서 치아 상실 후 오랜 기간에 걸친 치조골 흡수는 의치의 사용을 어렵게 한다. 하악 무치악 환자에게 두 개 혹은 네 개의 임플란트를 식립하여 임플란트 피개의치를 이용하는 방식은 쉽게 접근할 수 있고, 의치의 유지, 지지와 안정을 크게 향상시킬 수 있는 방법이다. 임플란트 피개의치에 사용되는 어태치먼트 중에서 milled bar는 기성 bar보다 상부 구조물의 견고한 안정성과 충분한 유지력을 얻기 위해 사용할 수 있으며, 최근 CAD/CAM system의 발달과 함께 기공과정이 간소화되어 이용이 용이하게 되었다. 본 증례는 오랜 기간 상, 하악 총의치를 사용했던 환자에게 상악은 전통적인 방식으로 제작한 총의치와 하악에 네 개의 임플란트를 식립하여 CAD/CAM milled bar를 이용해 하악 임플란트 피개의치로 수복하여 만족스러운 결과를 얻었기에 이를 보고하는 바이다.

사행하천에서 사주의 이동특성에 관한 수치실험 (Numerical Experiments of Bar Migration in Meandering Channels)

  • 본 연구에서는 2차원 수치모형을 이용하여 사행하천에서 하안 침식과 사행의 발달을 일으키는 기본적인 요소인 사주의 이동 특성을 파악하였다. 본 2차원 수치모형에서는 직교좌표계를 변환하여 하천의 형상에 적합하도록 일반좌표계를 사용하였다. 본 연구의 수치모형을 이용하여 하천의 만곡부에서 2차원 흐름특성을 계산하고, 하상변동을 모의하여 사주의 거동을 모의하였다. 수치모의에서는 이용하여 사행수로의 사행파장 대 하폭 비가 사주의 이동특성에 미치는 영향을 분석하였으며, 모의 결과를 Kinoshita와 Miwa(1974)에 의해 제시된 한계이동각과 비교한 결과, 상대적으로 잘 일치하였다. 그리고 사행하천에서 사행의 파장이 크고, 하폭이 넓을수록 사주의 이동에 대한 강제효과의 영향을 작게 받기 때문에 사주의 이동속도가 빠르고, 사주의 이동한계에 대한 사행 각도가 크며, 사주의 이동한계 사행각에 접근할 때 사주의 이동속도가 급격하게 감소되는 것을 알 수 있었다.

  • A Land slide in Granitic Gneiss weathered soil was stabilized successfully with soil nailing using 929mm steel bar. To understand the behavior of load transfer between soil and nail, in-situ pdl-out tests were carried out. The strains of steel bars were measured using strain gauges during pull-out tests. Forces-strain data from laboratory tension tests on steel bar and grouted steel bar were examined to compare with those of the pull-out tests. Comparisons were made between the pull-out test results and laboratory test result to understand load transfer mechanism.

  • The objective of this experimental study was to understand the effect of horizontal shear bar on the shear behavior of R.C. deep beams. Therefore, in the test program, the horizontal shear bar ratio($\rho_{sh}$) and shear span-to-overall depth ratio(a/h) are considered as two main variables. Test results indicate that for deep beams with a/h equal to 1.0, horizontal shear bar is less efficient in restricting the diagonal crack width development and enhancing the ultimate shear strength. So, it can be concluded that shear resistance of horizontal shear bar is related to a/h rather than clear span-to-effective depth ratio($l_{n}$/d) recommended in ACI code.

  • Bond test was carried out to assess the effect of several variables on bond characteristics between reinforcing bar and concrete. Key variables are concrete compressive strength(low, medium high, and ultra-high), bar diameter(13mm and 22mm), and concrete cover(25mm; 1-inch, 38mm; 1.5-inch, and 51mm; 2-inch). Confining effect and bar spacing are not taken into account. Thirty-two specimens subjected to uniaxial tension were tested under hypothesis uniform bond stress distribution along the reinforcing bar embeded in concrete. Test results(ultimate bond stress) were compared with bond and development provisions of the ACI building Code(ACl 318-89) and local bond stress versus slip relationship diagram represented to show effect of the above variables.

표면피복종류에 따른 복합열화환경하의 철근콘크리트 부식특성에 관한 실험적 연구 (An experimental study on corrosion properties of reinforcing steel under environment of complex deterioration)

  • It is recognized that reinforcement corrosion is the main distress behind the present concern regarding concrete durability. In this study, to confirm corrosion of reinforced concrete affected by thickness of cover, kinds of surface coating, measured electric potential, ratio of corrosion area, weight reduction, corrosion velocity of steel bar under environment of complex deterioration. The results showed that an increase in age also increases corrosion of steel bar. Ratio of corrosion area is largely related to ratio of weight reduction. as well, corrosion of steel bar by thickness of cover is superior to l0mm thick than 20mm thick. It showed that an increase in thickness of cover prevent steel bar from deteriorating. The results of this study showed that corrosion velocity was affected by thickness of cover, kinds of surface coating. data on the development of corrosion velocity made with none, organic B, organic A, inorganic B, and inorganic A is shown.

  • A split Hopkinson bar has been used for obtaining material properties in high strain rate state, In this paper, the apparatus was modified to obtain the high strain rate properties of sheet metal for an autobody. From the experiments with the new apparatus, the material properties of SPCEN in the high strain rate state have been acquired and compared with quasi-static experimental results.
