  • An approach to improve the performance of SDINS and GPS integrated system for bank-to-turn flight vehicles is described. Then, it is shown through the simulation that a specific gyro misalignment error results in an increased heading error of SDINS. A new modelling method is presented herein for identifying of sensor and attitude error. The main advantage of the proposed method is that it not only estimates the gyro misalignment error of SDINS, but also improves estimate performance of heading error of SDINS in the presence of the gyro misalignments.

  • In this paper a low-power DWT(Discrete Wavelet Transform) design technique is proposed. As basic low-pass filter for analysis bank, comb filter is utilized, and in order to improve frequency response for the comb filter, a fourth order polynomial is also proposed. Another filters are designed by using perfect reconstruction conditions. The lowpass filter coefficients of the analysis filter bank are optimized based on the cost function and perfect reconstruction condition. The number of the multiplications and MSE(Mean Squared Error) performance of the proposed DWT filter bank are compared with those of the JPEG2000 (9, 7) filter bank. It is shown that number of multiplications of the proposed filter bank are saved with 33.3%, and MSE values of the proposed filter bank are also superior to those of the JPEG2000 (9, 7) filter bank.

  • Ginsenosides are the principal components responsible for the pharmacological and biological activities of ginseng. Ginsenoside Rd was transformed into compound K using cell-free extracts of food microorganisms, with Lactobacillus pentosus DC101 isolated from kimchi (traditional Korean fermented food) used for this conversion. The optimum time for the conversion was about 72 h at a constant pH of 7.0 and an optimum temperature of about $30^{\circ}C$. The transformation products were identified by thin-layer chromatography and high-performance liquid chromatography, and their structures were assigned using nuclear magnetic resonance analysis. Generally, ginsenoside Rd was converted into ginsenoside F2 by 36 h post-reaction. Consequently, over 97% of ginsenoside Rd was decomposed and converted into compound K by 72 h post-reaction. The bioconversion pathway to produce compound K is as follows: ginsenoside Rd$\rightarrow$ginsenoside F2$\rightarrow$compound K.

  • In this paper, we analyzed the performance of SDR-based dual-band CDMA system in wideband multipath channel employing RAKE receiver with MRC diversity. For the simulation of SDR-based dual-band CDMA system, we used digital IF techniques, polyphase analysis filter bank as channelizer. Also, Remez exchange algorithm is employed in the realization of the digital filter in the polyphase analysis filter bank. For performance analysis of dual-band CDMA system, we consider power loss of IF signal after passing through channel and the filter. Also, the performance for different sampling rates is analyzed.

  • In this research, a model to measure the correlation between the performance of customer contact center and the business performance is developed using the well-known model, the market damage model of TARP. Three hypotheses are suggested and verified using real customer profit data and customer access data of the Industrial bank of Korea. As a result of this research, we know that there is a positive relation between increase of business profit and contact experience of customers to customer contact center. Also, customer satisfaction level for customer contact center contact experience is positively correlated with increase of business profit of the company. However, we could not find a meaningful correlation result between number of contacts to customer contact center and the business profit. Although this study is based on a particular one company data, the analyzation framework can be applicable to other banking companies for showing relations between performance of customer contact center and business profit of the company.

  • This paper focuses on a performance analysis of TRN among various nonlinear filtering methods. In a TRN research, extended Kalman filter(EKF) is a basic estimation algorithm. In this paper, iterated EKF(IEKF), EKF with stochastic linearization(SL), and unscented Kalman filter(UKF) algorithms are introduced to compare navigation performance with original EKF. In addition to introduced sequential filters, bank of Kalman filters method, which is one of the batch method, is also presented. Finally, by simulating an artificial aircraft mission, EKF with SL was chosen as the most consistent filter in the introduced sequential filters. Also, results suggested that the bank of Kalman filters can be alternative for TRN, when a fast convergence of navigation solution is needed.

  • The purpose of this study was to examine the needs of dental hygiene students at a lifelong education center of a three-year-course college for a credit bank system. The subjects in this study were 200 dental hygiene students at a college located in J, which offered courses of a credit bank system. A survey was conducted from May 19 to 23, 2008, to gather data on the acquisition of a bachelor's degree and the credit bank system, and the answer sheets from 184 respondents(92%) were collected. After the collected data were analyzed with SPSS/WIN 12.0 program, the following findings were given: 1. In regard to an intention of taking a bachelor's degree, the largest number of the students investigated(74.5%) intended to do that if they had any chance. As for the reason, 55.6% wanted to get the degree in pursuit of their own personal development. 2. Concerning how to win a bachelor's degree, the largest group that accounted for 63.0% preferred the credit bank systems of college lifelong education centers. 41.8% got interested in the credit bank system mainly because their acquaintances informed them of it. It shows that colleges should reinforce publicity activities if they want to offer the credit bank system. 3. The quality of educational programs and cost had an impact on the choice of an educational institution when they planned to get a bachelor's degree from the credit bank system. Therefore excellent educational programs should be provided, and the government should provide learners with economic help and fund educational institutions. 4. As to comparison of a regular college and the credit bank system as a way to get a bachelor's degree, that was considered to be helpful for finding a job(a mean of 3.39) and for the development of sociability(3.22). That was also deemed to be of use for the improvement of practical job performance, to win public recognition and to be helpful for being well-cultivated, though not many students had those opinions. They took a different view according to academic year(p<.05). 5. Regarding the expected effects of getting a degree from the credit bank system, the greatest group expected it to step up their personal development(3.85). The second largest group expected it to boost job efficacy(3.30), and the students whose academic year was higher had a better opinion. 6. As for future directions for the credit bank system, the largest group put emphasis on the improvement of social perception through intensive P.R. and the enhancement of the qualifications of professors and lecturers(4.02). These opinions were more stressed by the juniors than by the sophomores and seniors, and academic year made a significant difference to their views(p<.05).

  • In this paper, combining features is proposed as a way to enhance the classification accuracy of sounds under noisy environments using the CNN (Convolutional Neural Network) structure. A robust log Mel-filter bank using Wiener filter and PNCCs (Power Normalized Cepstral Coefficients) are extracted to form a 2-dimensional feature that is used as input to the CNN structure. An ebird database is used to classify 43 types of bird species in their natural environment. To evaluate the performance of the combined features under noisy environments, the database is augmented with 3 types of noise under 4 different SNRs (Signal to Noise Ratios) (20 dB, 10 dB, 5 dB, 0 dB). The combined feature is compared to the log Mel-filter bank with and without incorporating the Wiener filter and the PNCCs. The combined feature is shown to outperform the other mentioned features under clean environments with a 1.34 % increase in overall average accuracy. Additionally, the accuracy under noisy environments at the 4 SNR levels is increased by 1.06 % and 0.65 % for shop and schoolyard noise backgrounds, respectively.
