Barrier ribs for PDP(plasma display panel) are commonly utilized to have uniform height and width and to prevent opical crosstalk between adjacent cells. The requirements for such barrier ribs are uniform height and shape, low outgassing rate and low porosity, high aspect ratio, and fine resolution. In this study, we are studied about that to make efficiency of material and high quality barrier ribs for PDP. As a result, could got high barrier ribs of $140{\mu}m$ evenly in 1th phenomenon using watersoluble UV curing resin and know that flatness of upper part is also very good.

Laser beam was applied on the boundary of the polyurethane and biodegradable polyacetate polymers. The distributed laser passed through the polyurethane layer and heated the polyacetate layer, then the soften acetate was squeezed thorough the 1mm square slots of polyurethane for the mechanical joining. The surface roughness ranging between $0.28{\mu}m$ and $3.06{\mu}m$ had almost no effect on joining strength, but the optical properties of HD (High Definition) and UHD (Ultra High Definition) mode affected laser beam transmittance. The optimum laser power was found to be between 8watt and 10watt with 500mm/min of scanning speed. The joining boundary was characterized by optical and SEM analysis. Based on the experiment and characterization results, the laser energy was effective for the polymer joining and efficiency of joining.
In this study, a geological field trip learning program using 3 Dpanorama virtual reality (PVR) techniques is developed to learn about the Chaeseokgang area located in a national park near Byeonsan-bando, Jeonbuk, Korea. The developed $360^{\circ}{\times}180^{\circ}$ PVR program can show every face of observational points and interact as zoom-in, zoom-out and image rotation. For the educational effects of the materials, it is provided with a compass, a protractor for measuring the dip of strata and observation of specimen of observational points. It also assists students to learn by providing enlarged images, pop-up windows, and expert explanation main observational points. The program is applied to the class of 35 gifted students in middle school to investigate the effectiveness of the program. The results showed that positive responses of the students were 85% or more. It is suggests that this program be used as indirect situated learning material and a solution to geological field trip problems like cost, safety, distance, and so on geological learning of middle school science.
This study is to develop teaching materials for the geological fieldwork of Jeokbyeokgang area located in the national park of the Byeonsan-bando National Park, Buangun, Jeonbuk, Korea. The developed teaching materials are used in middle school science to effectively teach the fieldwork of the area. The sedimentary succession of Jeokbyeokgang area in the Cretaceous age, Mesozoic, represents the large-scale and distinctive sedimentary structures on sea cliffs, which are worth developing as teaching materials for the earth science fieldwork. The area of Jeokbyeokgang also comprises various geological structures related to the advanced learning programs as well as those within the curriculum of earth science in middle school level. A five-step fieldwork model was applied to 20 students in middle school earth science. This study quantitatively analyzed students' responses to the process of the fieldwork activity. Results indicated that the fieldwork activity using the developed teaching materials was effective in helping the students to improve their self-directed learning and practical understanding of earth science.
Nihonbuyo(日本舞踊), a typical traditional Japanese dance, began with kabuki dancing and formed many schools, and was managed by Iemoto system. Iemoto(家元) is the head family of a school of a traditional Japanese art. Iemoto(家元) existed after the establishment of the ancient family system, and it was established as a system during the modern feudal period. Especially in Nihon Buyo, the Iemoto system has developed greatly since the modern era. Iemoto System has has contributed greatly to the succession of traditional arts and has been considered one of the characteristics of Japanese society. Basically, Iemoto system considers it the best authority to pass on the skills of excellent teachers without any distortion. It has various forms depending on the field and the school, but it is an organization with a family structure similar to that of a family with Iemoto at the top. In this article, I examined the establishment and background of the Nihonbuyo and considered the succession of the fame and authority of Iemoto through the system of succession. There are so many schools in the Nihonbuyo world that it is said to be a school kingdom. These schools were divided into kabuki actors, choreographers, female entertainers, ChiutaMai dance(地唄舞) and new dance styles, and the aspect of the Iemoto system was examined through the background and characteristics of each school. While Iemoto system has a positive aspect of inheriting the tradition, there are also many negative criticisms in the art world, such as rigid organizational management, the products of feudal society, the power of Iemoto, and the stalemate of arts. Nevertheless, in a Japanese society that places importance on tradition, the landlady system will not disappear easily. In fact, today, when there are many different art genres in common, young dancers are starting to challenge themselves along with self-examination of Iemoto in order to make the best use of traditional art. We hope that through consideration of the Japanese housekeeping system, it will become a place where intangible cultural properties will be re-acknowledged.
Background: Lung transplantation is the definitive therapy for end stage lung disorders. The success of allogenic lung transplantation has led to an increasing shortage of donor lungs from humans, including cadavers, and attention has now turned to transplantation of lungs from other species. However, there are many biological hurdles when using organs from other species because of hyperacute rejection after discordant xenotransplantation. Material and Method: Pigs (n=6, weighing $20{\sim}30kg$ each) for the donors and mongrel dogs (n=6, weighing $20{\sim}28kg$ each) for the recipients were used in this experiment. The left kidney of a pig was perfused to a mongrel dog for 30 minutes through the femoral artery and vein of the dog, and the right kidney was perfused for 30 minutes sequentially. Then, both lungs of the pig were perfused to the dog through the pulmonary artery and left atrium with using the same time intervals. The levels of IgM and IgG were measured from the blood and specimens of the kidney and lung. Result: The average levels of serum IgM gradually decreased after the perfusion, but the average levels of serum IgG did not charge from before to after perfusion. The immunohistochemical findings revealed decreased deposition of IgG and IgM after the perfusion. Conclusion: We conclude that the levels of the serum natural antibodies would be decreased with pre-transplantation xenograft perfusion in the recipient and the occurrence rate of hyperacute rejection after transplantation would be decreased.

We investigated the reproductive cycle of the hard clam, Meretrix petechialis with its gonadal development by histological observations. The seasonal changes in biochemical component of the adductor muscle, visceral mass, foot muscle and mantle of the clam were studied by biochemical analysis, from January to December, 2002. The reproductive cycle of this species can be divided into five successive stages: early stage (January to March), late active stage (February to May), ripe stage (April to August), partially spawned stage (July to August) and spent/inactive stage (September to January). Total protein content in the visceral mass was over two times higher than that in the adductor muscle. Monthly changes of total protein content in the adductor muscle were not statistically significant (ANOVA, p = 0.071), while the changes in the visceral mass were significant (p < 0.001). Total protein content in visceral mass was higher during the early active, late active, and ripe stages (from January to May), while the lowest in July. Glycogen content in the adductor muscle was higher than that in the visceral mass. Monthly changes in glycogen contents were statistically significant in both adductor muscle (F = 237.2, p < 0.001) and the visceral mass (F = 64.04, p < 0.001). Glycogen content in the adductor muscle was the highest in the ripe stage (April). Its content was lower in the partially spawned and the spent/inactive stages (June-September). Glycogen contents in the visceral mass were relatively lower until the early active stage, while the highest in the late active stage. RNA content was higher in visceral mass than that in the adductor muscle. Monthly changes in RNA contents were significant in both adductor muscle (F = 195.2, p < 0.001) and visceral mass (F = 78.85, p < 0.001). RNA content in the adductor muscle was high in the early active stage (January-February), and then it decreased rapidly in the late active stage (March-April), thereafter, slightly increased during the partially spawned stage (June-July). RNA content in the visceral mass reached a maximum during the ripe stage (May), and then it decreased rapidly during the partially-spawned stage (June-July). There was significant positive correlation in total protein contents between adductor muscle and visceral mass (r = 0.715, p = 0.020). However, there was no correlation between adductor muscle and visceral mass in glycogen (p = 0.550), while a negative correlation was found between the adductor muscle and visceral mass in RNA (p = 0.518) contents. Especially, changes in RNA content showed a negative correlation between the adductor muscle tissue and visceral mass. Therefore, these results suggest that the nutrient content of the adductor muscle, visceral muscle and foot muscle changed in response to gonadal energy needs.
