$Eu^{3+}$-doped $MgMoO_4$ phosphor thin films were deposited on quartz substrates by radio frequency magnetron sputtering with changing various growth temperatures. The effects of growth temperature on the structure, transmittance, optical band gap, and luminescence of the phosphor thin films were characterized. All the phosphor thin films, irrespective of growth temperature, showed a monoclinic structure with a main (220) diffraction peak. The thin film deposited at a growth temperature of $400^{\circ}C$ indicated an average transmittance of 90% in the wavelength range of 500 ~ 1100 nm and band gap energy of 4.81 eV. The excitation spectra of the phosphor thin films consisted of a broad charge transfer band peaked at 284 nm in the range of 230 ~ 330 nm and two weak peaks located at 368 and 461 nm, respectively. The emission spectra under ultraviolet excitation at 284 nm exhibited a sharp emission peak at 614 nm and several weak bands. All the phosphor thin films showed high asymmetry ratio values, indicating that $Eu^{3+}$ ions incorporated into the host lattice occupied at the non-inversion symmetry sites. The results suggest that the growth temperature plays an important role in growing high-quality phosphor thin films.
An L-band Linear Accelerator System for E-beam sterilization is under construction for bio-technology application. The klystron-modulator system as an RF microwave source has an important role as major components to offer the system reliability for long time steady-state operations. A PFN line type pulse generator with a peak power of 71.5-MW, $7\;{\mu}s$, 285 pps is required to drive a high-power klystron. The high power pulse transformer has a function of transferring pulse energy from a pulsed power source to a high power load. The pulse transformer producing a pulse with a peak voltage of 275 kV is required to produce 30-MW peak and 60 kW average RF output power at the frequency of 1.3-GHz. We have designed the high power pulse transformer with 1:13 step-up ratio. The peak and average power capability is 71.5-MW (275 kV, 260 A at load side with $7\;{\mu}s$ pulse width) and 130 kW, respectively. In this paper, we present measurements and its analysis on the design parameters, and an initial test result as well as a design concept on the high-power pulse transformer.
The ceramic filters were developed using technology similar to that of quartz crystal and electromechanical filter. However, the key to this development involved the theoretical analysis of vibration modes and material improvements of piezoelectric ceramics. The primary application of ceramic filters has been for consumer-market use. Accordingly, a major emhpasis has involved mass production technology, leading to low-priced devices. A typical ceramic filter includes monolithic resonators and capacitors packaged in unique configurations. Nakazawa developed a double-mode resonator as two acoustically coupled single resonators. And he developed 10.7MHz crystal filters using multi-energy trapping mode of thickness shear vibration. He succeeded in realizing a two-pole band pass filter response without external inductance by splitting a dot electrode to creat coupled symmetric and antisymmetric vibration modes. Accordingly, the simulation for ceramic filter were important. So that, this paper were investigated the pass frequency of filter on the electrode length and thickness of ceramic.
A high intensity acoustic test facility is constructed at Korea Aerospace Research Institute (KARI) by 2003. The reverberant chamber of the facility has a volume of 1,228 cubic meters and shall provide an acoustic environment of 152 dB over the frequency range of 25 Hz to 10,000 Hz. The facility consists of a large scaled reverberant chamber, acoustic power generation systems, gases nitrogen supply systems, and acoustic control systems. This paper describes how the basic parameters of a chamber and power generation systems are controlled to meet the requirement of the test. The volume of a reverberant chamber is controlled by the size of test objects and the reverberant characteristics of a chamber. The capacity of acoustic power generation systems is determined by the energy absorption of a chamber and the efficiency of acoustic modulators. Simple math is employed to calculate the required power of acoustic modulators. Moreover, the paper explains how the distribution of sound pressure level at low frequency is checked by analytical and numerical methods.

We evaluate the performance of emotion recognition via speech signals when a plain speaker talks to an entertainment robot. For each frame of a speech utterance, we extract the frame-based features: pitch, energy, formant, band energies, mel frequency cepstral coefficients (MFCCs), and velocity/acceleration of pitch and MFCCs. For discriminative classifiers, a fixed-length utterance-based feature vector is computed from the statistics of the frame-based features. Using a speaker-independent database, we evaluate the performance of two promising classifiers: support vector machine (SVM) and hidden Markov model (HMM). For angry/bored/happy/neutral/sad emotion classification, the SVM and HMM classifiers yield $42.3\%\;and\;40.8\%$ accuracy, respectively. We show that the accuracy is significant compared to the performance by foreign human listeners.
The chemical shift of SiOC film was observed according to the flow rate ratio. SiOC film had the broad main band of $880\sim1190cm^{-1}$ and the sharp Si-$CH_3$ bond at $1252cm^{-1}$, and the peak position of the main bond in the infrared spectra moved to high frequency according to the increasing of an BTMSM flow rate. So the increment of the alkyl group induced the C-H bond condensation in the film, and shows the blueshift in the infrared spectra. In the case of P5000 system of Applied Materials Corporation, the strong bond of Si-CH3 bond in precursor does not enough to dissociated and ionized, because low plasma energy due to the capactive coupled CVD. Therefore, there was the sharp peak of Si-$CH_3$ bond at $1252cm^{-1}$.
In this paper, We show that the bandpass random signals of the form ∑$_{\alpha}$$\alpha$$_{\alpha}$ a Sin(2$\pi$f$_{\alpha}$t + b$_{\alpha}$) where a$_{\alpha}$ being a random number in [0,1], f$_{\alpha}$ a random integer in a given frequency band, and b$_{\alpha}$ a random number in [0, 2$\pi$], generate Gaussian white noise signals and hence they are adequate for simulating Continuous Markov processes. We apply the result to the fluctuation-dissipation formula for the Johnson noise and show that the probability distribution for the long term average of the power of the Johnson noise is a X$^2$ distribution and that the relative error of the long term average is (equation omitted) where N is the number of blocks used in the average.error of the long term average is (equation omitted) where N is the number of blocks used in the average.
The goal of this paper Is to characterize the vibration damping induced in a main structure by a large number of sub-oscillators. A simple expression is obtained for the substructure impedance when the number of sub-oscillators approaches Infinity. It is found that the induced damping depends on the total mass of the sub-oscillators resonating in a frequency band of interests and nearly independent of their Individual loss factors. A modal overlapping condition. which corresponds to bandwidths that exceed the spacing of those natural frequencies, is required for the sub-oscillators to have such effects. An impulse response of the system is also considered. When the sub-oscillators lack damping and do not satisfy the modal overlapping condition, the vibratory energy is returned from the sub-oscillators to the main structure at later times. The result of this paper is consistent with that found with the fuzzy structure and SEA framework.
