이동 경계면을 가진 고체 추진제 연소 유동장의 해석 기법 연구 (Study on Simulation Method for Combustion Flow Field with the Moving Boundary of Solid Propellants)

  • 고체 추진제 연소 현상을 해석할 때 요구되는 이동 경계면에 대한 수치 기법을 연구하였다. Eulerian 좌표계에서는 Ghost-Cell Extrapolation 기법을 적용하였고, Non-Eulerian 좌표계에서는 Lagrangian 기법을 적용하여 이동 경계면을 해석하였다. 도관 내 일차원 자유 피스톤 운동을 이 수치 기법으로 해석하여 이론 결과 값과 비교 검증하였다.

  • Gunshot wounds are unpredictable and require early, precise diagnosis and treatment. A penetrating gunshot wound can be fatal due to compromised airway, hypovolemic shock, lead poisoning and infection. This case report describes a 48-year-old male patient who had a suicidal gunshot wound on the right temporomandibular joint area using an air rifle. We successfully managed the patient by preoperative embolization, surgical removal of the foreign body and primary closure.

약실교환방식의 20 mm 시험용 총열 개발 (The Development of 20 mm Test Barrel with Replaceable Powder Chamber Type)

  • A new smooth bore test barrel was developed to be used in sensitivity assessment test for explosives and fragment impact test. The bore diameter of the barrel is 20 mm, and the powder chamber is designed to be replaceable with the 12.7 mm, 20 mm and 30 mm type chamber. The test results showed the wide range of fragment velocity from 400 to 2000 m/s, included the fragment velocity requirement of the fragment impact test(alternate procedure #1) in MIL-STD-2105B. The stability of the bullet trajectory was checked by test shots and the structural safety of the system has been confirmed through the stress analysis and the interior ballistics analysis of the barrel.

  • In this paper, the new technology and R&D status is presented, which accelerates the projectile using the electrical energy to overcome the limit of the conventional gun. The ETC (electro_thermal_chemical) gun, one kind of electric guns, seems to be the highly probable candidate as the next generation gun. The high density power supply and the forming and control of the current pulse are required to develop the ETC gun. And, the interior ballistics considered the mechanism of ETC gun must to be studied.

  • The purpose of this study is to survey the circumstances of sniping warfare and to prove the importance of usage of snipers. The research method was referred to the history of foreign warfares and autobiographies, articles, and testimonies of snipers. Also, various news reports were also studied to collect information. The content of this study investigates the circumstances of sniping combat scenes from its first appearance in the world's major warfares to contemporary ones. Also, the research contains the history of weapons, ammunition, rifles, and the principle of rifle shooting including ballistics. We hope this study provides ROK Army and government agencies the foundation of sniping and thereby improving the effectiveness of correspondence to international conflicts and terrorism.

포열 마모예측용 소프트웨어 개발 및 적용 (The Development and Application Wear of Prediction Tool for Gun Barrel)

  • The erosion wear of gun barrel occurs due to heat and chemical reactions. The high pressure and temperature in chamber increase the erosion wear. It is known that the metal phase transfer is the primary wear factor in a gun barrel under high temperature. In this paper, the tool of wear prediction in high pressure gun tube has been developed. The program developed has three modules such as DIRECT(interior ballistics analysis module), INVERSE(gun design module), and WEAR(wear prediction module). The prediction of wear was compared with the experimental data which was collected in the field unit. The prediction results shows good trend with the collected data.

  • 본 연구에서는 고체 추진기관의 침식연소 해석을 위한 비정상 일차원 내탄도 해석 모델을 개발하였다. 연소실 축방향 유동과 압력변화를 해석하기 위해 연속방정식과 운동량 보존식을 연립하여 수치해석 하였다. 기존에 검증된 고체 추진기관 무차원 내탄도 해석 프로그램과 해석 결과를 비교하여 개발한 해석 모델을 검증하였다. 그레인 직경 대 길이비가 큰 모터의 축방향 연소속도, 압력, 속도 변화를 고찰하였다.

  • When a body falls in fluid, the body often experiences autorotations, namely, various kind of rotating motions, such as tumbling, flat spin and coming. Tumbling is a rotating motion with an axis perpendicular to a falling direction. Tumbling is a very important phenomenon in aeronautical and space engineering, ballistics and meteorology. For example, when an satellite re-en-tries into the atomosphere, its body collapses into many fragments which are disperse in the wide range of field. Some fragments fall in tumbling motion. Then tumbling is useful to predict fragment's motion.(omitted)

  • 본 연구에서는 고체 추진기관의 침식연소 해석을 위해 비정상 일차원 내탄도 해석 모델을 이용하였다. 연소실 축방향 유동과 압력변화를 해석하기 위해 연속방정식과 운동량 보존식을 연립하여 수치해석 하였다. 침식연소가 발생한 모터의 시험 결과와 해석 결과를 비교하여 연구 모터의 침식연소 상수를 도출하였다. 그레인 형상 변화가 침식연소에 미치는 영향을 평가하였다.

  • In this study, small hybrid rocket was launched and flight altitude was measured. Flight path of rocket was analyzed with exterior ballistics analysis result. The data acquisition equipment was loaded in rocket and two launch test were performed. HDPE was used as fuel and N20 as oxidizer for this study.
