  • This paper is study for design SOC composing space vector control algorithm of sensorless BLDC motor by H/W and apply this to operating machanism of washing machine system. it is study that increases control efficiency than S/W control algorithm and enhances response for change of system and authoritativeness of controller. Designed so that can compose controller of most suitable in dynamic characteristic of system by design Parameters of each controller to independent block for SOC design connecting to 8051 cores. For control Sensorless BLDC motor to drive system of washing machine, applied to H/W SVPWM control, so improved authoritativeness of control algorithm and control effectiveness than S/W control algorithm

  • In this paper, a control algorithm for DC-Link voltage unbalancing compensation of a four-switch inverter for a three-phase BLDC motor drive is proposed. Compared with a conventional six-switch inverter, the split source of the four-switch inverter can be obtained by splitting DC-link capacitor into two capacitors to drive the three phase BLDC motor. The voltages across each of two capacitors are not always equal in steady state because of the unbalance in the impedance of the DC-link capacitors $C_1$ and $C_2$ or the variable current flowed into the capacitor's neutral point in motor control. Despite the unbalance, if the BLDC motor may be run for a long time the voltage across one of the capacitors is more increased. So the unbalance in the capacitors voltages will be accelerated. As a result, The current ripple and torque ripple is increased due to the fluctuation of input current which flows into 3-phase BLDC motor. According to that, the vibration of motor will be increased and the whole system will be instable. This paper presents a control algorithm for DC-Link voltage unbalancing compensation. The sampling from the voltages across each of two capacitors is used to perform the voltage control of DC-Link by using the feedforward controller.

SMC를 이용한 HDD용 스핀들 모터 (Spindle Motors using SMC for HDD)

  • This paper is presented for the development of the brushless DC(BLDC) motor for the spindle motor of hard disk drives(HDD). A new BLDC Motor has the use of insulated, compacted, and iron powder for the armature core material of BLDC motors. Insulated iron powder in this paper is generally called soft magnet composite(SMC). The SMC is used for the stator of the motor instead of the laminated steel core. The motor used by SMC can have the good advantages in condition of the high frequency input power and small sized motor. It gets much more high efficiency than laminated steel core at same input power. The proposed motor has a technique of speed sensorless control. Experimental results show the performance of the proposed BLDC motors for an HDD.

  • A sensorless control algorithm of brushless DC (BLDC) motors with a model current based on 120 degree conduction mode is proposed in this paper. The rotor speed and position can be estimated using the current model of BLDC motor, which is a modified version of the conventional current model of permanent magnet synchronous motor. The rotor speed and position can be obtained using the difference of the actual current and the model current. The position error caused by the parameter errors of the model current is compensated using a PI controller and the feedback loop of the real current. The validity of the proposed sensorless control algorithm is verified through simulation.

  • This paper presents a ripple reduction of BLDC motor using TMS320F240. A fault of permanent magnet(PM) BLDC motor possible to miniaturization and high-output is to be difficult to reduce speed-ripple at low speed region. An existing solution is to be use of PWM waveform by PI control with computing control angle of 60$^{\circ}$. The new family of DSP controllers provides a single chip solution by integrating on-chip not only a high computational power but also, all the peripherals necessary for electric motor control. This paper gives an advanced solution of the SVPWM technique for the purpose of reducing control angel rather than 60$^{\circ}$. This technique gives an excellent speed ripple characteristic.

  • A brushless DC (BLDC) motor control system for four-axis driving fins to control the flight attitude of a guided artillery munition is developed in this study. This system adopts a simple sensorless control scheme without a Hall sensor. A 12-step driving sensorless BLDC motor scheme is used to improve the output torque. This system has many restrictive problems that hinder the verification of a real system. For example, this has cost and environmental limitations. Therefore, this study develops HILS to verify a four-axis driving fin control system and verifies the position control system hardware by HILS operation.

  • BLDC motor is widely used as a servo motor due to high efficiency, high power density, low inertia, and low maintenance. However, BLDC motor generally needs position and velocity sensors to control actuation system. Usually, analog tachometers and encoders have been used for velocity feedback sensors. However, using these types of sensors have problems such as the cost, space, and malfunction. So, This paper is to propose a new velocity measurement method using linear hall-effect and enhanced differentiator for BLDC motor. In order to verify the feasibility of the proposed method, several simulations and experiments are performed. It is shown that the proposed velocity measurement method can satisfy the requirements without using of velocity sensor.

  • 본 연구에서는 BLDC 모터 2축 동시 제어를 위해 듀얼코어 프로세서를 이용하여 제어기를 설계하였다. 제어기의 중앙처리 장치로는 TI사의 최신 듀얼코어 DSP인 TMS320F28377D를 사용하였고, BLDC 모터는 고신뢰성을 가지고 있는 레졸버(Resolver) 위치 및 속도센서 내장형 모터로 선정하였다. 구동기는 IPM(SCM1245MF)을 이용하여 설계하였다.

  • Electronic throttle control(ETC) is critical to drive ability, fuel economy and emission performance of present day passenger vehicles. Until now, many automobile engineer and company have been development electronic throttle controller and control algorism, such as adaptive control, sliding control, nonlinear and so on. But there are almost electronic throttle control using DC motor or stepping motor. This paper is the design of an electronic throttle controller and electronic throttle valve control using BLDC motor instead of DC motor.

단일 DC-Link 전류 계측만을 이용한 BLDC 구동시스템의 디지털 전류 제어 (A Digital Current Control using Single DC-Link Current Sensing of BLDC Actuation Systems)

  • In this paper, we propose a digital DC-Link current control approach for BLDC actuation systems. The proposed approach consists of the following two components: first, DC-Link current measurement with sampling instances synchronized with PWM frequency, and second, current control using single DC-Link current rather than three phases current of a motor. The proposed method proved its performance through experiments and simulation. The results showed that the control performance are increased compared with the BLDC actuation system which does not use current control.
