Placing sensors at appropriate locations is an important task in the design of an efficient structural health monitoring (SHM) system for a large-scale civil structure. In this paper, a hybrid optimization algorithm called virus monkey algorithm (VMA) based on the virus theory of evolution is proposed to seek the optimal placement of sensors. Firstly, the dual-structure coding method is adopted instead of binary coding method to code the solution. Then, the VMA is designed to incorporate two populations, a monkey population and a virus population, enabling the horizontal propagation between the monkey and virus individuals and the vertical inheritance of monkey's position information from the previous to following position. Correspondingly, the monkey population in this paper is divided into the superior and inferior monkey populations, and the virus population is divided into the serious and slight virus populations. The serious virus is used to infect the inferior monkey to make it escape from the local optima, while the slight virus is adopted to infect the superior monkey to let it find a better result in the nearby area. This kind of novel virus infection operator enables the coevolution of monkey and virus populations. Finally, the effectiveness of the proposed VMA is demonstrated by designing the sensor network of the Canton Tower, the tallest TV Tower in China. Results show that innovations in the VMA proposed in this paper can improve the convergence of algorithm compared with the original monkey algorithm (MA).
FRP(Functional Reactive Programming) is a kind of embedded language in Haskell, it declaratively program reactive system based on two essential high-order types named behavior and events. This Paper design and implementation RT-FRP(Real-time Functional Reactive Programming) translator for using FRP in embedded systems with many constraints. The RT-FRP translator generates a C Program from an RT-FRP program according to the operational semantics of the RT-FRP language. To show the effectiveness of the RT-FRP translator, we loaded and executed the test program generated by the translator onto a real embedded system, LEGO Mindstorm. According to the experimental result, the reactive system software can be programmed more concisely using RT-FRP than using an imperative counter part although the size of the binary code is rather increased.

For the efficient recognition of printed Korean characters, a multiplexed minimum average correlation energy(MMACE) filter is proposed. Proposed method solved the disadvantages of the tree structure algorithm which recognition system is very huge and recognition method is sophisticated. Using only one consonant MMACE filter and one vowel one, we recognized the full Korean character. Each MMACE filter is multiplexed by 4 K-tuple MACE filters which are synthesized by 24 consonants and vowels. Hence the proposed MMACE filter and the correlation distribution plane are divided by 4 subregion. We obtained the binary codes for the Korean character recognition from each correlation distribution subplane. And the obtained codes are compared with the truth table for consonants and vowels in computer. We can recognize the full Korean characters when substitute the corresponded consonant or vowel font of the consistent code to the correlation peak place in the output correlation plane. The computer simulation and optical experiment results show that the proposed compact Korean character recognition system using the MMACE filters has high discrimination capability.

The structural properties that SEM photograph of ZnO varistors surface studied by fractal mathematics program were investigated to verify the relations of electrical characteristics. The SEM photograph of ZnO varistors surface were changed by binary code and the grain shape of that were analyzed by fractal dimension. The void of ZnO varistors surface was found by fractal program. The relation between grain density and electrical properties depend on fractal dimension. The grain size in ZnO varistors surface was decreased by increasing of Sb$_2$O$_3$ addition. The spinel structure was formed by Sb$_2$O$_3$addition and it was depressed the ZnO grain formation. The grain size of ZnO by Sb$_2$O$_3$addition were from 5 to 10[${\mu}{\textrm}{m}$]. Among of ZnO varistors, fractal dimension of ZnO4 was very high as a 1.764. The density of grain boundary in ZnO2 and ZnO3 varistors surface was 15[%] by formed spinal structure. The breakdown electric field of ZnO2 that fractal dimension has 1.752 was very high to be 8.5[kV/cm]. When the fractal dimensin was high, the grain shape of ZnO varistors was complex and the serial layers of ZnO grain was increased.

In this paper, We use the APL as IDL when simulation a 16-bit SIP. It was possible for IDL to represent and describe a structure of a H/W which other HDL have not. Because We partitioned whole system to various modules when desingning processor, We adpoted a direct decoding method. A designed each modules are executed according to 12-bit control word was inputed through experimental framework, Which were composed to symbolized instructions. In here, By setting instruction codes of the SIP using binary code, We composed instruction format and assembler instruction, and verified the SIP behaviour that try to implement by entering a presented instruction set through experimental framework. In a presented SIP, Because inputing program are a symbolized language, Designer and user will easily understand behaviour of system. Especially, Because we can immediatly specify a unit function within SIP, We will use variously and easily the library cell.

Binary offset carrier (BOC) signal synchronization is one of the most important steps to recover the transmitted information in global navigation satellite systems (GNSS) including Galileo and global positioning system (GPS). Generally, BOC signal synchronization is based on the correlation between the received and locally generated BOC signals. Thus, the multiple side-peaks in BOC autocorrelation are one of the main error sources in synchronizing BOC signals. Recently, a novel correlation function with reduced side-peaks was proposed for BOC signal synchronization by Julien [8]; however, Julien's correlation function not only still has the side-peaks, but also is only applicable to sine phased BOC(n, n), where n is the ratio of the pseudo random noise (PRN) code rate to 1.023 MHz. In this paper, we propose a new correlation function for BOC signal synchronization, which does not have any side-peaks and is applicable to general types of BOC signals, sine/cosine phased BOC(kn, n), where k is the ratio of a PRN chip duration to the period of a square wave sub-carrier used in BOC modulation. In addition, an efficient correlator structure is presented for generating the proposed correlation function.
This paper introduces a new locking technique applicable to high-performance digital Phase-Locked Loops (DPLL). The study employs additional thermometer codes to reduce quantization errors in LC-based Digital Controlled Oscillators (DCO). Despite not implementing the entire DCO codes in thermometer mode, this method effectively reduces quantization errors through enhanced linearity. In the initial locking phase, binary codes are used, and upon completion of locking, the system transitions to thermometer codes, achieving high frequency linearity and reduced jitter characteristics. This approach significantly reduces the number of switches required and minimizes the oscillator's area, especially in applications requiring low DCO gain (Kdco), compared to the traditional method that uses only thermometer codes. Furthermore, the jitter performance is maintained at a level equivalent to that of the thermometer-only approach. The efficacy of this technique has been validated through modeling and design at the RTL level using SystemVerilog and Verilog HDL.

Malware is being commercialized and sold on the black market, primarily driven by financial incentives. With the increasing demand driven by these sales, the scope of attacks via malware has expanded. In response, there has been a surge in research efforts leveraging artificial intelligence for detection and classification. However, adversaries are integrating various anti-analysis techniques into their malware to thwart analytical efforts. In this study, we introduce the "Malware Analysis with Dynamic Extraction (MADE)" framework, a hybrid binary analysis tool devised to procure datasets from advanced malware incorporating Anti-Analysis techniques. The MADE framework has the proficiency to autonomously execute dynamic analysis on binaries, encompassing those laden with Anti-VM and Anti-Debugging defenses. Experimental results substantiate that the MADE framework can effectively circumvent over 90% of diverse malware implementations using Anti-Analysis techniques and can adeptly extract relevant datasets.

This study attempts to examine the principles of landscape composition for a 'Suhwon(書院)' and the meaning and value of its traditional landscape architecture, in order to apply the results to the design of modern landscape architecture. A 'Suhwon' is a vital space containing the form and meaning of human activity. This study analyzes the characteristics of landscape composition in the construction of the Namgea Suhwon, located in Hamyang, by examining the form and meaning of its area and composition. The Namgea Suhwon was constructed with a suitable configuration and harmony in a good location, neither field nor mountain, and which encompasses transcendence and a return after passage through a period of birth and abundance. Its appearance means 'life existence and hidden death(生居死幽)'. Its spatial system is a reflection of the idea of Samshinoje(三神五帝: The three abilities of Providence and its five subjects) connected with Ilsangje -Samshin -Ohje. It was built based on the idea of Biryebudong(非禮不動) meaning that one should follow only good decorum and avoid discourtesy, complying with "the frame of decorum" developed by the family rites of Chu Hsi. The environmental design of the Namgea Suhwon was interrupted by the material confrontation between mountains and water and a binary code system, such as front to rear, length to breadth, and movement to stillness. The design did not adhere to stiff axes, but pursued the harmonic principles of asymmetric balance in the building and the yard, which are very naturalistic. The name 'Namgea Suhwon' is closely related with the view of placement(置) and harmony(和), which are unified with the function and meaning formed by connecting Sung Confucianism with the Pungsu-Sasinsa structure in the layout of the grounds. When examining the D/H ratio of the building and yard, it can be seen that the spaces of Ganghak, Yusang and Jehyang were built appropriately, according to the natural characteristics of each space, such as a sense of openness, enclosure, tension, relief, enhancement, and hierarchical order. The spaces also reflect human scale concepts that take advantage of auditory features. The transition process after the construction of 'Namgea Suhwon' reveals the intentions of the builder to create an ecological landscape composition based on Placement and Harmony. Placement embodies' a purposeful space in which nature and the building are connected naturally, 'incomplete open space pursuing completion', and 'potential beauty in which tension and relaxation are repeated'. Harmony embodies 'order and continuity having a sense of unity with the natural environment' and the 'sharing of daily life and memory'. 'Namgea Suhwon' contains many ideas for landscape planning, land use and the design of a campus environment.
In this paper, passport recognition and face verification methods which can automatically recognize passport codes and discriminate forgery passports to improve efficiency and systematic control of immigration management are proposed. Adjusting the slant is very important for recognition of characters and face verification since slanted passport images can bring various unwanted effects to the recognition of individual codes and faces. Therefore, after smearing the passport image, the longest extracted string of characters is selected. The angle adjustment can be conducted by using the slant of the straight and horizontal line that connects the center of thickness between left and right parts of the string. Extracting passport codes is done by Sobel operator, horizontal smearing, and 8-neighborhood contour tracking algorithm. The string of codes can be transformed into binary format by applying repeating binary method to the area of the extracted passport code strings. The string codes are restored by applying CDM mask to the binary string area and individual codes are extracted by 8-neighborhood contour tracking algerian. The proposed RBF network is applied to the middle layer of RBF network by using the fuzzy logic connection operator and proposing the enhanced fuzzy ART algorithm that dynamically controls the vigilance parameter. The face is authenticated by measuring the similarity between the feature vector of the facial image from the passport and feature vector of the facial image from the database that is constructed with PCA algorithm. After several tests using a forged passport and the passport with slanted images, the proposed method was proven to be effective in recognizing passport codes and verifying facial images.
