Recently, the needs of machining technologies of very small parts have been increasing with advent of micro-revolution. These technologies have mostly used the method applied to semi-conductor production process such as LIGA, etc. But they have serious difficulties to settle down in terms of workpiece materials, machining thickness, 3-dimensional structure. Therefore. mciro-machining technology using EDM(Electrical Discharge Machining) was proposed. It is very difficult to machine the micro-parts (microshaft, microhole) using conventional machining. Micro-machining using BDM can machine the micro-parts easily because it requires little machining force. This MEDM(Micro-EDM) need the capabilities to move a electrode and control a discharge energy precisely, and the gap control strategy to maintain the optimal discharge condition is necessary. Therefore, in this study, the new EDM machine with high precision motion stage and high-performance EDM device was developed. Using this MEDM machine, we have machined microshaft and microhole with various shapes and sizes.

Korea's electricity supply and demand policy has focusing on electricity demand side management instead of the expanding supply and a lot of effort for LED(Light Emitting Diode) at the time. This paper calculated the optimal subsidy for LED spread. For this purpose, it analyzed the impact on spread of the lighting appliances each subsidy level from BDM(Bass Diffusion Model) and predicted the number of lighting appliances according to subsidy level in the future. The case study is calculated susidy for satisfaction of LED target using the suggested model in the future and verified availability.

This paper presents a digital modeling technique for the distributed parameter system. The basic idea of the proposed technique is to discretize a continuous system with respect to the spatial coordinate using the approximate methods such as bilinear method and backward difference method. The response of the discretized system is analyzed by Laplace transform and Z transform. The computational result of the proposed technique in a torsional shaft is compared with the exact solution and the result of the finite element method.

Multi-disk data allocation problem examined in this paper is to find a method to distribute a Binary Cartesian Product File on multiple disks to maximize parallel disk I/O accesses for partial match retrieval. This problem is known to be NP-hard, and heuristkc approaches have been applied to obtain sub-optimal solutions. Recently, efficient methods have been proposed with a restriction that the number of disks in which files are stored should be power of 2. In this paper, we propose a new disk Allocation method based on Genetic Algorithm(GA) to remove the restriction on the number of disks to be applied. Using the schema theory, we prove that our method can find a near-optimal solutionwith high probability. We compare the quality of solution derived by our method with General Disk Modulo, Binary Disk Modulo, and Error Correcting Code methods through the simulation. The simulation results show that proposed GA is superior to GDM method in all cases and provides comparable performance to the BDM method which has a restriction on the number of disks.

Purpose: The aim of this study was to evaluate accuracy of three type complete mandibular denture of before and after polymerization. Methods: Mandibular edentulous model was selected as the master model. 15 study models were made by Type IV stone. Wax complete mandibular dentures were produced by the denture base and artificial teeth. Before and after curing, STL files were obtained using a blue scanner. By superimposing the digitized complete mandibular denture data(after curing) with the CAD-reference(before curing) three-dimensionally, visual fit-discrepancies were drawn by calculating the root mean square (RMS) and visualized on a color-difference map. Each calculated RMS-value was statistically analyzed by 1-way analysis of variance(ANOVA) (${\alpha}=.05$). Results: Mean(SD) RMS-values was OM group $88.98(6.10){\mu}m$, BM group $82.35(13.46){\mu}m$, BDM group $77.83(9.46){\mu}m$. The results of the 1-way ANOVA showed no statistically significant differences in the RMS values of the Three groups for the material (P > .241). Conclusion : Deformation of artificial teeth position was observed in all groups after resin polymerization. But the values, all group were within the clinically acceptable range. The values of BDM group showed the least deformation than the other two groups.

This study's impetus is to explore fresh evidence to answer the question, i.e., whether remittances asymmetrically influence financial development in Bangladesh from 1975 to 2019. The study employs several tests, i.e., nonlinear unit root test, Autoregressive Distributed Lagged (ARDL), NARDL, and asymmetric causality test for establishing the pattern of association. Nonlinear unit root tests confirm that variables follow a nonlinear system of being stationary after the first difference. nonlinearity among variables is investigated by performing the BDS test and nonlinear OLS. Directional causality is investigated through both linear and nonlinear effects of remittance inflows by following the non-granger casualty test. The test statistics of Fpass and tBDM showed the Long-run cointegration in the empirical model and positive effect running from remittances inflow to financial development both in the long-run and short-run. Furthermore, the results of a standard Wald test divulge the presence of long-run and short-run asymmetry. Asymmetry causality test established unidirectional causality due to positive and negative shocks in remittances inflows to Bank-based financial development and feedback hypothesis hold for explaining causality between positive and negative shocks in remittance inflows and Stock-based financial development.

The study explores the nexus between foreign direct investment (FDI), financial innovation, and exchange rate volatility in selected South Asian countries for 1980 to 2017. The study applies the unit root test, Autoregressive Distributed Lagged, nonlinear ARDL, and causality test following Toda-Yamamoto. Unit root tests ascertain that variables are integrated in a mixed order; few variables are stationary at a level and few after the first difference. Empirical model estimation with ARDL, Long-run cointegration revealed with the tests of FPSS, WPSS, and tBDM by rejecting the null hypothesis of "no cointegration." This finding suggests that, in the long-run financial innovation, FDI inflows, and exchange rate volatility move together. Moreover, study findings established adverse effects running from FDI inflows and financial innovation to exchange rate volatility in the long run. These findings suggest that continual FDI inflows and innovativeness in the financial system assist in lessening the volatility in the foreign exchange market. Furthermore, nonlinear ARDL confirms the presence of asymmetric cointegration in the model. The standard Wald test established asymmetric effects running from FDI inflows and financial innovation to exchange rate volatility, both in the long and short run. Directional causality unveils feedback hypothesis holds for explaining causality between FDI, financial innovation, and exchange rate volatility.

The purpose of this study is to define emergency response procedures by BDMS [Building Disaster Management System] when earthquake occurs on long-span bridge structures. The study is about developing a computer-based algorithm for various earthquake intensities that works with the System. Presently, long-span bridge disaster prevention relies on closed-system centered on human intervention alone. However, this study combines IT technology and internet-based open system creating a more practical system. Additionally, assigned duties and tasks are clearly defined to all personnel involved in various disaster situations using the Active Action Diagram(AAD) techniques. Also, the design of 3-dimensional view assists to determine the appropriate initial response in times of earthquake and other disasters. The combination of the existing manual emergency response procedures and the scenario-based (IT) response system being developed will create an efficiency and fast response actions in times of emergencies.

The present study was conducted to measure and predict the leachate generation and to establish the methods of leachate control and handling by both field and lab-lysimeter studies. The change of biodegradable matter, field capacity, dry density, quantity and quality of leachate as a function of time of landilling were measured. The model based on the theory of unsaturated flow and contaminant transport in porous media was developed and simulation model was used for the prediction of movement of landfill moisture and for the strength in leachate in terms of organic and inorganic contaminant. The model constructed from the present study in terms of unsaturated decomposition and transport combined with the evapotranspiration and surface runoff showed good agreement with the results obtained by lysimeter studies.
