$Ni_xFe_{100-x}$ films with a thickness of about 100nm were deposited on Si(100) substrates at room temperature by a DC magnetron co-sputtering using Fe and Ni targets. Compositional, structural, electrical and magnetic properties of the films were investigated. $Ni_{67}Fe_{33}$, $Ni_{55}Fe_{45}$, $Ni_{50}Fe_{50}$, $Ni_{45}Fe_{55}$, $Ni_{40}Fe_{60}$ films are obtained by increasing the sputtering power of the Fe target. The films of x < 55 have BCC structure and show the phase transformation after annealing at the range of $300{\sim}450^{\circ}C$ for 2 h. On the other hand, the films of x < 50 have the mixed crystalline phases of BCC and FCC after the annealing treatment. The saturation magnetization was decreased initially by the phase transformation effect but then increased again after annealing at $450^{\circ}C$ due to the grain growth and crystallization of BCC phases.

Ni-Fe alloys have various applications such as thin film inductor, thin film transformer, magnetic head's shield case, etc. Magnetic properties of Ni-Fe thin films depend on the process parameters such as thickness, contents, deposition rate, substrates, etc. In this study, NiFe films with a thickness of about 150nm were deposited on Si(100) wafer and $SiO_2$/Si(100) substrate at room temperature by a DC magnetron co-sputtering using Fe and Ni targets. Their phase formation and magnetic properties as a function of annealing temperature were investigated with XRD, FE-SEM and VSM. The assputtered films have BCC structure. With increasing annealing temperature, NiFe thin film for $SiO_2$/Si(100) substrate transformed completely from BCC to FCC phase above $500^{\circ}C$, but some BCC phase remained above $500^{\circ}C$ on Si(100) wafer. For samples annealed at $450^{\circ}C$, squareness ratio of NiFe thin film shows peak value and its saturation magnetization is around 0.0118 emu, which means that the optimum annealing temperature of NiFe thin film seems to be $450^{\circ}C$. The saturation magnetization of films decreased rapidly above the annealing temperature of $500^{\circ}C$ due to phase transformation from BCC to FCC phase.
According to the recent reports the bulk bcc Rh is ferromagnetic with a small difference of energy compared to paramagnetic state. In this study, the electronic structure and magnetism for bcc Rh(001) surface are investigated by means of the all-electron full potential linearized augmented plane wave method within the generalized gradient approximation. It is found that the surface ferromagnetic state is preferable over the paramagnetic one. For unrelaxed system, the magnetic moment of the surface layer, $0.48{\mu}B$, is slightly increased comparing with the bulk value, $0.41{\mu}B$ while the value of the subsurface layer, $0.23{\mu}B$, is much smaller than the bulk value. The total energy and atomic force calculations show that the surface layer is relaxed downward and the subsurface layer moves upward to reduce the layer distance between the surface and subsurface layers by 7.0 %. The relaxation effect leads to weakening the surface magnetic properties. Specifically, the value of the magnetic moment of the surface atom is decreased to $0.36{\mu}B$. Since the spin polarization of the subsurface layer is only $0.14{\mu}B$, it is concluded that the bcc Rh(001) surface is rather weakly ferromagnetic.
A new method was introduced to distinguish the ferrite, bainite and martensite in transformation induced plasticity (TRIP) steel by using electron backscatter diffraction (EBSD) and transmission electron microscopy (TEM). EBSD is a very powerful microstructure analysis technique at the length scales ranging from tens of nanometers to millimeters. However, iron BCC phases such as ferrite, bainite and martensite cannot be easily distinguished by EBSD due to their similar surface morphology and crystallographic structure. Among the various EBSD-based methodology, image quality (IQ) values, which present the perfection of a crystal lattice, was used to distinguish the iron BCC phases. IQ values are very useful tools to discern the iron BCC phases because of their different density of crystal defect and lattice distortion. However, there are still remaining problems that make the separation of bainite and martensite difficult. For instance, these phases have very similar IQ values in many cases, especially in deformed region; therefore, even though the IQ value was used, it has been difficult to distinguish the bainite and martensite. For more precise separation of bainite and martensite, IQ threshold values were determined by a correlative TEM analysis. By determining the threshold values, iron BCC phases were successfully separated.
The bankruptcy possibility of apartment construction firms has been incresed because of the environment of current apartment construction industry. This paper analyzes the efficiency of apartment construction firms using DEA model. We evaluate the CCR, BCC efficiency and RTS of 25 apartment construction firms. We also suggest the apartment construction firms which can be benchmarked based on analyzed information. The result shows that four enterprises whose values of CCR efficiency are 1, and ten enterprises whose values of BCC efficiency are 1. RTS indicates IRS of 21 firms and CRS of 4 firms.
The damping capacities of the nonthermoelastic bcc type lath martensite and of the nonthermoelastic hcp type thin plate martensite in Fe-Mn alloys were studied. Fe-17%Mn alloy showing the hcp type thin plate martensite was superior to Fe-4%Mn alloy having the bcc type lath martensite in damping capacity. The damping capacity of the Fe-17%Mn alloy became greater with increasing the hcp martensite volume fraction. The damping mechanism of the Fe-4%Mn alloy was well explained by the dislocation model. However, the damping mechanism of the Fe-17%Mn alloy was explained on the basis of austenite/martensite interface moving model. The two alloys showed almost same levels of tensile strength. However, the elongation was greater in the Fe-17%Mn alloy than in the Fe-4%Mn alloy, showing lower yield strength in the former than in the latter. This result was considered to be attributed to formation of stress-induced martensite during tension test.
This paper presents a real-time GPU (Graphics Processing Unit) isosurface ray-caster that improves the performance by 4-7 folds from our previous method, while keeping the superior visual quality. Such an improvement is achieved by incorporating an efficient empty-space skipping scheme and an analytic normal computation. The empty-space skipping scheme is done by building an min/max octree computed from the BB(Bernslein-B$\acute{e}$zier)-form of spline pieces and the analytic normal Formula provides not only a nice visual quality but also an improved evaluation performance.

This paper deals with a problem of detecting BCC using confocal raman spectrum. Specially, we propose Fisher measure based filtering for rejection of frequency components being noisy or non-discriminative. we use PCA (principal component analysis) for reduction of feature space dimension. Also, we apply MAP detector for classification of BCC raman spectrum. The experimental results shows that our proposed method can reduce the feature dimension and also raise the detection ratio.
It is examined that how flipped learning and mind-wandering affect an idea generation task. For the purpose, the participants in the idea generation task are divided into two groups to learn SIT(Systematic Inventive Thinking) and BCC(Business Creativity Codes) as idea generating tools in advance. One group learned the tools in a classroom, and the other group through an online education program. The creativity level of an idea is evaluated in the dimensions of originality, practicality, and realizability. The creativity levels of the ideas from the two groups are not statistically different in all the three creativity dimensions. To examine the effect of mind-wandering, another group generated ideas two hours a day in four days instead of eight hours in one day. The creativity levels of the ideas from the third group are higher in the dimensions of originality and practicality. This shows that the effectiveness of flipped learning is not so different from the face-to-face learning in a classroom, and mind-wandering has a positive effect in the learning.
In the current study, a rate-dependent crystal plasticity finite element method (CPFEM) was used to simulate flow stress behavior and texture evolution of a body-centered cubic (BCC) crystalline material during plastic deformation at room temperature. To account for crystallographic slip and rotation, a rate-dependent crystal constitutive law with a hardening model was incorporated into an in-house finite element program, CAMPform3D. Microstructural heterogeneity and anisotropy were handled by assigning a crystallographic orientation to each integration point of the element and determining the stiffness matrix of the individual crystal. Uniaxial tensile tests of single crystals with different crystallographic orientations were simulated to determine the material parameters in the hardening model. The texture evolution during four different deformation modes - uniaxial tension, uniaxial compression, channel die compression, and simple shear deformation - was investigated based on the comparison with experimental data available in the literature.
