We consider a B/G/1 queueing system with vacations, where the server closes the gate when it begins a vacation. In this system, customers arrive according to a Bernoulli process. The service time and the vacation time follow discrete distributions. We obtain the distribution of the number of customers at a random point in time, and in turn, the distribution of the residence time (queueing time + service time) for a customer. This system finds an application in the performance evaluation of the DQDB protocol which has been adopted as the standard protocol for IEEE 802.6 MAN.

A differential power amplifier operating at millimeter-wave frequencies is demonstrated using a 65-nm CMOS technology. All of the input, output, and inter-stage network are implemented by transformers only, enabling impedance matching with low loss and a wide bandwidth. The millimeter-wave power amplifier exhibits measured small-signal gain exceeding 12.6 dB over a 3-dB bandwidth from 45 to 56 GHz. The output power and PAE are 13 dBm and 11.7%, respectively at 50 GHz.

차세대 이동통신망인 B3G 시스템은 음성 트래픽뿐만 아니라 데이터, 화상, 비디오와 같은 멀티미디어 트래픽을 지원하여야 하므로 더 많은 무선 자원을 요구한다. 특히 미디어 트래픽의 전송 중에 핸드오버가 발생하면 멀티미디어 트래픽의 QoS가 지연 및 손실에 의하여 영향 받기 때문에, 정지 상태에서의 경우와 대등한 QoS를 유지하기 위해서는 효율적인 자원 예약 및 할당 방안이 필요하다. 본 논문에서는 이동 멀티미디어 망에서 이동 단말기의 이동 방향 추정에 근거하여 자원을 예약하고, 멀티미디어 트래픽을 전송하는 핸드오버 기법을 제안한다.

In the recognition of similar patterns like profile contours of human faces, feature measure plays important role. We extracted effective and general feature by B-spline approximation. The nodes and vertices of the approximated curve are normalized and used as features. Since the features have both local property of curvature extrema and global property by B-spline approximation, they are superior to those of curvature extrema of the profile contour. For the image data of six sets of 56 persons, some of which are ill-made, averaged accuracy rate of 97.6 % is obtained in recognizing combinational 333 test samples.

The dynamic feedback is well-known to be much more powerful tool in control than the static one. This paper deals with the dynamic feedback linearization of the nonlinear systems which are not (static) feedback linearizable. The dynamic feedback linearization problem is however too difficult to solve at momemt. Thus we introduce a restricted class of the dynamic feedback (pure integrators followed by the static feedback) which is often used to study the problems using dynamic feedback and obtain the necessary and sufficient conditions of the linearization problem using this class of the dynamic feedback.

In this paper, a fuzzy logic controll(FLC) is designed for the pointing loop of the spinstabilized platform. For the fuzzy inference, a fuzzy accelerator board using the Togai InfraLogic software and digital fuzzy processor(DFP110FC) is designed, and a validation of an algorithm for fuzzy logic control is also presented. Through the simulation and the experiment, it can be seen that the designed FLC shows better performance than a conventional controller using the same loop gain.

컴퓨터 그래픽스에서 연구되고 있는 영상 기반 모델링과 렌더링 기술은 사진과 같은 사실적인 3차원 모델을 생성하는 새로운 방법을 제시한다. 본 고는 이러한 기술의 토대를 이루고 있는 사진 기하학을 소개하고 이를 이용한 다양한 연구결과와 상용 제품의 응용 기술 동향을 살펴 앞으로의 발전 방향을 짚어 보고자 한다.

털보 꼬마 풀게 Hemigrapsus sinensis Rathbun의 雌雄을 1983年 4月 10日 京畿道 蘇來방파제 바위틈에서 채집하여 飼育한 결과 동년 4月 22日 雌는 抱卵하여 동년 5月 6日에 孵化되었다. 털보 꼬마 풀게의 幼生을 孵化時부터 1期 Crab期까지 實驗室에서 溫度 $20\\sim24^\\circC$, 鹽分溫度 $31\\sim35%$에서 飼育하여 5期의 Zoea幼生과 Megalopa幼生을 얻어 形態學的으로 記述, 圖示하였다. 같은 亞科인 Varuninae의 게 幼生들과 比較 觀察하였다. 이 種의 特徵은 Zoea 1,2期의 第2觸角은 $B_3型$, Zoea 3,4,5期는 $B_2型$이고 尾節은 全 Zoea期를 通하여 B型으로 Zoea同定에 有用한 標準이 되리라고 본다.
