In this study, some novel thiosubstituted butenyne (3a-d, 7b, 15b), butadiene (4a-b, 4d, 5a, 5c, 6b, 8e, 9c, 10b, 16b, 18e) and [3]cumulene (11a-b with isomer 3a-b, 12a with isomer 13a, 14b, 17e) compounds were synthesized from the reaction of 2H-pentachloro-1,3-butadiene with thiols. The new compounds were characterized by elemental analysis, mass spectrometry, UV-vis, IR, 1H NMR, NMR ($^{13}C$ or APT) spectroscopy.

In this paper, we propose an optimal relay selection scheme for decode-and-forward relaying systems. The optimal relay selection minimizes the number of time slots used to relay source's signal and maximizes an end-to-end signal-to-noise ratio. However, decode-and-forward relaying systems require additional overhead for the optimal relay selection. Assuming independent and identically distributed Rayleigh fading channels, we provide exact and closed-form expressions for the outage probability of capacity and the bit error rate for decode-and-forward relaying systems with the optimal relay selection. It is shown that the analytic results are perfectly matched with the simulated ones. When the numbers of relay nodes are 2, 4, and 8, and the numbers of time slots for overhead are 1, 2, and 4, respectively, the proposed system achieves 1 dB, 2 dB, and 3 dB gains at 1% bit error rate, respectively, and 0.5 dB, 4 dB, and 12 dB gains at 1% outage probability for 1 bps/Hz, respectively, over the conventional decode-and-forward relaying system.

Chilling temperature and colony development in Korean native bumblebee, Bombus ignitus and introduced B. terrestris were firstly investigated. Among four chilling temperatures of -2.5, 0, 2.5 and 5$^{\circ}C$, 2.5$^{\circ}C$ showed the best result at the survival rate after artificial hibernation in both species. The survival rate after chilling was somewhat higher in B. ignitus until three months of cold treatment, but it was higher in B. terrestris at four months of cold treatment. In colony development of queens broken diapause by CO$_2$ treatment, oviposition rate and preoviposition period of B. ignitus were 72.5％ and 17.4 days, respectively. These values were 6.1％ higher and 7.4 days shorter than those of B. terrestris. The period up to colony foundation, the first male and queen emergence of B. ignitus were 62.8,66.4 and 63.0 days, respectively, and these values were 2.1-29.5 days shorter than those of B. terrestris. But, the duration up to first worker emergence of B. ignitus and B. terrexrris did not differ as 28.6 and 28.4 days, respectively. On the other hand, the rate of colony foundation and progeny-queen production of B. terrestris, which are the important indication in evaluating the quality of colony, were 14.2 and 13.5％, respectively and these values are 3.8 to 5.7 fold higher than those of B. ignitus. Besides, the numbers of progenies of B. terrestris reached 104.2 workers, 317.9 males and 21.1 queens, which corresponded to 1.1-1.8 fold those at B. ignitus. Therefore, above results showed that colony development of B. terrestris is superior to that of B. ignitus.

Road traffic noise has increasing broader effects on urban areas as well as rural areas because of rapidly increasing traffic volume and newly-constructed roads. 10 sites in building development areas were selected and the noise level were measured by the apartment floors and by the various block plans of apartment complex. Analysis result, about correction factor, in the case of right angle arrangement, apply - 2.5dB(A). In the case of apartment house correlation of each floor apply 1st floors 0dB(A), 2st floors 1.2dB(A), 3st floors 2.1dB(A), 4st floors 2.6dB(A), 5st floors 2.7dB(A), 6st floors 2.7dB(A), 7st floors 2.4dB(A), 8st floors 2.0dB(A), 9st floors 1.6dB(A), 10st floors 1.1dB(A), 13st floors 0.2dB(A), 15st floors 0.5dB(A). The level of road traffic noise in the arrangement construction of right angle was about 3.0dB(A) at N-4 point and 2.1dB(A) at N-6 point lower than that of a plan figure, respectively. The results suggested that application of correction coefficient obtained by the apartment floor and by the arrangement construction can be improved in road traffic noise. In this study, polysaccharides were isolated from Korean persimmon vinegar to characterize the polysaccharides existing as soluble forms within traditional Korean fermented beverages, and their immuno-stimulating activities were examined. Three successive chromatographies were used to purify the main polysaccharide in the persimmon vinegar, PV-1b-I, to homogeneity from the crude polysaccharide (PV-0). The molecular mass of PV-1b-I was estimated as 110 kDa and it contained significant proportions of mannose (46.8%), galactose (28.5%) and arabinose (19.1%). PV-1b-I strongly reacted with ${\beta}$-glucosyl Yariv reagent, suggesting the presence of an arabino-3,6-galactan moiety. PV-1b-I also induced high levels of macrophage activation and mitogenicity on murine splenocytes in vitro. The intravenous administration of PV-1b-I significantly augmented NK cytotoxicity against YAC-1 tumor cells. PV-1b-I also showed potent anticomplementary activity in a dose-dependent manner. Finally, C3 activation products were identified by crossed immunoelectrophoresis using anti-human C3 and the anti-complementary activity of PV-1b-I under $Ca^{2+}$-free conditions, suggesting that this PV-1b-I causes complementary activations via both alternative and classical pathways. From these results, one can conclude that Korean persimmon vinegar contains select polysaccharides in addition to healthy components, and these polysaccharides appear to provide immuno-stimulating activities beneficial to human health.

We introduce the class $T_{\alpha}[A,B]$ of functions $f:f(z)=z+\sum\limits_{n=2}^{{\infty}}a_nz^n$ which are analytic in E and for $z{\in}E$, ${\alpha}{\geq}0$, $[(1-{\alpha}){\frac{f(z)}{z}}+{\alpha}f^{\prime}(z)]{\in}P[A,B]$. It is shown that, for ${\alpha}{\geq}1$, $T_{\alpha}[A,B]$ consists entirely of univalent functions and the radius of univalence for $f{\in}T_{\alpha}[A,B]$, $0<{\alpha}<1$ is obtained. Coefficient bounds and some other properties of this class are studied. Some radii problems are also solved.

Miller-Fisher syndrome, Guillain-Barre syndrome with ophthalmoplegia, Bickerstaff s brainstem encephalitis and acute ophthalmoplegia share some clinical features, and common anti-GQ1b IgG antibody and these are introduced as anti-GQ1b antibody syndrome. These syndromes mostly present with paralysis of extraocular muscles and internal ophthalmoplegia rarely occurs. We report a case of acute isolated bilateral internal ophthalmoplegia associated with anti-GQ1b IgG antibody.

The reaction of 2-methoxycarlmethylen-l,2-dihydro-4H-pyrido[2,3-b]pyrazin-3-one(5) with hydrazine hydrate and ethylenediamine gave 2-hydrazinocarbonylmethylene-1,2-dihydro-4H-pyrido[2,3-b]pyrazin-3-one(6) and 2-aminoethylcarbamethylene-1,2-dihydro-4H-pyrido[2,3-b]pyrazin-3-one(7), res-pectively. The reaction of compound 6 or 7 with substituted benzaldehydes or heteroaryl aldehydes afforded pyrido[2,3-b]pyrazines(8-13). Some pyrin the enamine, methylene imine and enaminol forms in solution. The tau-tomer ratios were determined by the H NMR.

In this paper, the definition b-numerical radius and b-norm is introduced and we present several b-numerical radius inequalities. Some applications of these inequalities are considered as well.
